OT: ESPN - "Which famous fans follow the top 25 teams?"
Another sign that we are in the dog days of college football is ESPN doing a puff piece about who are the most famous fans of the top 25 College Football teams. Some predictable ones:
#3 - Michigan - Spike's and my favorite - Kate Upton
#9 - THEE ohio - LeBron James - main reason I wanted GS to win
#13 - Ole Miss - Katy Perry - One helluva (Fun) Bag Person
#15 - staee - Magic Johnson
#22 - UCLA - Jaleel "Urkel" White

There is no way in hell that Upton is more famous than Jeter.
Not sure how Derek Jeter doesn't even merit consideration.

Apparently Larry Page doesn't understand football. He'd be a good guy to get interested in Michigan football.
Regarding Larry Page, while I truly believe where people decide to donate is their business, but has he given much love/$$$ to Michigan??? Maybe he has anonymously and I am missing it , but I believe he has given a lot to Stanford.

Aren't all of those names in reality bigger names than Kate Upton? Kate Update is a bigger name than Madonna?
You are right, however, they probably measure also who is most visible with their school's fandom. Not sure if I have ever seen Madonna in a Michigan t-shirt, etc.

Depends on your age. A song came on the radio in the car recently and my kids asked "Dad, who's Madonna?" They had no idea.

Get used to it.
My kids have no parents. They were born in test tubes. They would rather cover themselves in sugar and sleep in an anthill than admit I exist.
You kind of have to adjust to graduates/former attendees of the school. Madonna, Phelps, and Brady all received at least some schooling here. If you're going for celebs who have a genuine interest in the school outside of having attended, Upton is the flashy pick for sure.

"In town" is underselling it a little bit. Michigan was hosting the Royal Shakespeare company.

Lloyd was the most College Professor football coach ever. He actually acted like he was, you know, coaching in college.
