Now you are sounding like those boys down south and their non-committable offers. I have two relatives at major D1 programs and both think that line by fans is one of the biggest crocks there is. When you make an offer to a recruit you lay it all out for them, no grey areas, no small-print. You may offer with some contingencies, but if you value your integrity there is no hedging that isn’t known by both parties. If so, your word is just trash and HS coaches will tell their recruits such. I guarantee you Urban and his people are not going to pull that.
What did happen is they offered several and were rebuffed. They thought they had Kizer in the hole, but he decided not to wait around and possibly get left behind and took the best offer he had firm. Urban then offered Collier after being rebuffed again and didn’t want the same thing to happen that happened with Kizer. Would they take Harris if he decided in their favor, darn tootin’, but Collier is their sure thing. Not saying he may not develop but he is their port in the storm for this year. However, Harris is also not going to burn any bridges or upset any specific fan-base either.

Not sure what Darlington not wanting to camp has to do with it as they already had extended him an offer and he just decided Neb was better for him. Didn’t offer Kizer because they were still after available Harris, Ulmer, Darlington, Allen, and Peavey. Kizer decided not to wait on them and took the ND offer he had on the table. And with Harris they are not close to being a leading contender so they see they have a strong possibility of being a “bridesmaid” again.

I guess that is understandable, WiLA. They just don't get into sports here on the west coast. Same holds true up here in the Bay area for everything but 49er's. Only good sports radio I have ever experienced is East of the Mississippi. (Maybe Texas also, but haven't been there for too long.

Actually, Stewart Mandal had something similar earlier this week, it dealt with this year, and it is not pay-walled:
However, he discusses teams possessing a good chance this year. He doesn't really go into the programs, recruits, and future or long term, multiple championship runs. Just those, in his opinion, with the best chance at this year's BCS. He also discusses the SEC dominance, SEC team expectations this year, and then the 5 Best Non-SEC, and 5 runners-up.
It has Texas, Oregon, USC, MSU, and FSU with the 5 Best; and UM, Okla, WVU, Wisc, and Clemson are in the next group that “may reach the big game, but their blueprint suggests they'd suffer the same fate as those before them."
"Michigan: Brady Hoke likely needs another year's recruiting haul before the Wolverines can field an upper-echelon defensive front."

Moore started four games in 2011 for Nebraska and played in nine total. He was the front runner for and expected to be the starting left tackle.

One of the interesting facets I am anticipating; how well Mattison’s defense does against Urban’s offense over the next couple of years. You have to figure much of Meyer’s offense will be similar to Fla days, and if anyone knows any cracks, faults, or how to defend it, it’s the guy that practiced against it daily.

Not sure if you got the answer you were looking for. Seems more about repair attempts, hope this helps also:
There are two menisci in your knee; each rests between the thigh bone (femur) and shin bone (tibia). The menisci are c-shaped, made of tough cartilage and conform to the surfaces of the bones upon which they rest; (not to be confused with another type of cartilage lining each bone end). One meniscus (medial meniscus) is on the inside of your knee. The other meniscus (lateral meniscus) rests on the outside of your knee. The two menisci function to distribute your body weight across the knee joint, (like a rubber gasket would between two pieces of irregular-shaped metal).
These can become torn due to injury especially when the knee joint is bent and then twisted under pressure, (like pivoting while running a pass route for example). It is also commonly referred to as "torn cartilage" in the knee.

Seriously I don’t think they will give MVP to a rookie again unless it is special situation. (ie. Japan or other country import, like Ichiro.)
Many people were unhappy with Fred Lynn getting it and I can’t see it happening again to a “true rookie” in near future.

IMO the keys are Adam Breneman & Christian Hackenberg. If they stay then PSU has a significant chance to weather this punishment and come out in fair shape on the other side. Of the two, to me the real linchpin is Hackenberg. He has to stick to keep recruiting at PSU afloat, though personally I doubt he will.
Breneman demonstrates what should be the main focus of PSU recruiting in the near future; the PA recruits that are ingrained to go there and can overlook the punishments. I agree they will search for the “undiscovered” talent in their region, get those strong 2-3* (that for one reason or another haven’t frequented the camp circuit) and the only top-flight recruits will be those instate that Pitt or WVU can’t pull.

IMO this is just an attempt by the trustees to give an “appearance” that they have fought the decision. Not that it will go anywhere, just so they not appear to have rolled over. Didn't they already agree with the decision?
