I can see him now, at the ready baseball glove in hand...

Oh, you meant at the State of the Union address? Sorry.

Coach autographed a pic of him playing QB vs nd from 1986 and signed it 'from one Michigan Man to Another'
Obama never autographed shit for me. Neither did Dubya or his daddy. Or Clinton.
Which is why I would vote HARBAUGH in a heartbeat if he were ever to run.

A Candidate Harbaugh would have a very difficult time carrying the state of Ohio in a general election, which would make getting elected pretty difficult.

I think he's openly Republican, isnt' he?
January 13th, 2016 at 11:38 AM ^
I don't think he's very popular in Florida these days either. Or Pennsylvania. That makes his electoral college math pretty tough!
January 13th, 2016 at 12:08 PM ^
Having moved to Florida a few years ago I can say the tons of Michigan alums down here love him.
January 13th, 2016 at 3:59 AM ^
But sorry America, he's busy doing a very important job already!
January 13th, 2016 at 9:14 AM ^
Just imagine what he could do for school lunch programs across America!
January 13th, 2016 at 7:42 AM ^
as Babe Ruth said when the press asked him about his salary being higher than that of the President

I'd rather be Michigan's football coach than President of the United States (if I were qualified for either.) Presidents age a lot after just a year or two in office. Though I suppose if you have a weak constitution like Urban Meyer being a Div 1 head football coach can have health effects as well....
I'd rather be President than OSUs football coach because I couldn't take the moral compromises of the latter.

You could nuke Columbus and blame it on terrorists.
January 13th, 2016 at 1:55 PM ^
Why would you blame anyone?

I know we usually forbid politics on this blog, but I'm willing to make an exception for such an insightful comment. I have a feeling a lot of Obama supporters reading this thread are starting to rethink their position.
January 13th, 2016 at 8:22 AM ^
will certainly never vote for him again!
January 13th, 2016 at 10:56 AM ^
I see what you did there.
January 13th, 2016 at 11:19 AM ^
But less than half of us picked up on the sarcasm of 901 P's post?

Thanks EastCoast! I can't tell if it is a good thing or a bad thing that people were having trouble determining whether or not I was serious.

Since you brought it up Putin, why are you not letting the Lubavitcher Rebbe's library leave Moscow? You won't loan artwork to the US either. Are you afraid other countries will hold his works ransom for the Schneersohn books?
Mr. Putin, tear down this (invisible) wall!

You'll need socks, I hear. Get on that quickly, before the meanies in the government stop mail delivery to the local library branch.
I support your move - let's get the library back to the people, dammit!

Your first sentence sounded like sarcasm. Then you started browsing brochures for Bolivia. That's not a good way to celebrate one year on the blog.

Sarcasm impaired blog on the entire internet.

Yep--I was definitely not serious in suggesting that the original post would change anyone's opinion. But this is a good reminder for me: when the threads get political, I think I'll just take a pass on commenting!
January 13th, 2016 at 11:37 AM ^
I really don't care whether the above was directed to Obama or Dubya or George Washington himself. I do care about taking a fun Harbaugh thread and devolving it into pointless political banter for no reason at all other than so everyone could be blessed with your political opinions. -1 to both of you.
