I think the Grigson should have been fired already. The lack of an O-Line has KILLED this team the past two years (and just about killed Luck this year). He did a decent job with the defense this year, considering that the Colts had ZERO pass rush and a crappy #2 corner for most of the year.

In any case, I am sad to see him go. I just hope that Irsay fires Grigson so hard and gets a decent talent evaluator in.

My dream:

Jeff Ireland GM

Sean Peyton HC

Mike Pettine DC.

It scares the hell out of me, to be 100% honest. Harbaugh is smart enough to know that there aren't going to be many opportunities like this one. Getting an elite QB to coach is hard enough, and having that guy be the same kid you coached in college is sugar on top. Plus, he played in Indy and was well respected. He'll probably never get an NFL gig that's so enticing, especially considering he's a QB-centric coach. I'll be very happy when the Colts job is filled by a non-JimH candidate.

Cue the Harbaugh to Indy rumors.

Although I bet he stays here, Indy will gun for him HARD.

But I will say this: he passed up Chicago last year. If he passes up Indy this year, I think he's here for good. Those are two blue blood NFL franchises, both of which he has real history with, and you never know when those opportunities will come knocking again. Of course Harbaugh is one odd duck, and could one day just up and bolt for a job like the Jaguars, but my gut says he's where he wants to be.
