Jourdan Lewis a Heisman favorite per PFF

going to go out on a limb and say he won't bring home the hardware. Awesome for him to be recognized in that regard though. Very good player.
November 18th, 2015 at 10:58 AM ^
The craziest thing is that teams keep targeting him! I guess he is typically lined up against the other team's best WR, so that might be why.

not only put him on the other teams best receiver, they put him on an island against said receiver in press man. That is Patrick Peterson type stuff. Teams throw at him because they are conditioned to throw at a corner in that kind of coverage regarless of who it is.

I agree. I also would say he won't be in NYC either. This is an offensive award. It takes a Charles Woodson type of balance on contribution.

No he is not. He is not even that good and definitely needs another year to get better before he is NFL ready. NEEDS ANOTHER YEAR I SAID!
November 18th, 2015 at 10:59 AM ^
agree here. If he leaves after this year he is going to get killed in the NFL. If he waits another year to perfect his craft he will be a pro-bowler in first year for sure. I think the choice is clear.
November 18th, 2015 at 12:29 PM ^
The choice is particularly clear because he's already stated that he's staying.

we all know how rock solid spur of the moment Twitter declarations are.

are not on here very much then man. Look up Let Chaos Reign CF Watching Guide in the Search space. I went down swinging defending this team from all manner of insult and degradation from frequent posters. You may be thinking about somebody else because that is not me at all.
I guess I am a hater because I think the Stanford ranking is a problem. That's cool man.

I called Michigan one of the four best teams in the country and went to battle for it. And you think I troll Michigan? If that is your take I guess you are requiring a level of homerism that I am not familiar with.
Why don't you point out when I am "trolling" whenever you see it. Perhaps we can have a discussion as to what you consider trolling to be. Look above where I compare Lewis to Patrick Peterson? How about the thread above this where I predict Michigan to blow out Penn State? You don't know what you are talking about man.

I am disparaging him, but it may be because I need to turn down my played-out-joke meter.

Was in UV yesterday.

I see now that you are an old dad, so that explains it. You probably only have 1 instagram post in the last 300 days as well.

Simpsons did it.

With all the Peppers hype, I didn't see that coming.
November 18th, 2015 at 11:02 AM ^
Peppers a year. If they continue to work him in consistently on offense he will be in New York next year. May not win it but he will likely be a finalist.

For as good as Jabrill is, he still has a long way to go in improving his coverage ability.
November 18th, 2015 at 12:26 PM ^
as time goes by he is going to become even more of a hybrid roamer on defense who spends a lot of time moonlighting as a linebacker-type substance. I also think that we have enough secondary depth that he will be as much an offense player as a defensive player next year.

in the first 10 games. I think he looks bad sometimes, because his position requires him to both cover and provide run support, where a true corner is usually tasked with man coverage (which is still hard). I've seen plenty of times when he is in perfect position and the pass has no chance.

on offense???
It can happen.
November 18th, 2015 at 11:39 AM ^
Wouldn't mind to seeing what Lewis can do on offense.
November 18th, 2015 at 11:46 AM ^
Has he ever taken an offensive snap?
November 18th, 2015 at 11:48 AM ^
November 18th, 2015 at 11:50 AM ^
No, but his offensive recruiting film (I think from the Opening?) was very impressive. At the time I thought he was better-suited for offense. I find that hard to believe now, but he could be an additional weapon.
November 18th, 2015 at 2:30 PM ^
Poggi is playing both ways. Why not Lewis?
November 18th, 2015 at 2:33 PM ^
Has Poggi been getting defensive snaps this year?

Yes to his talent. No to him winning it. Still pretty freaking amazing.
November 18th, 2015 at 11:30 AM ^
Don't misunderstand -- he's an amazing talent. A game changer. I'm just saying I doubt seriously he brings home the hardware.
Very very difficult to make that case as a defensive player, unless your name is Woodson.
November 18th, 2015 at 11:08 AM ^
He will be so much better if he stays a year again and plays for our D next year. Could be a special year

There is a reason that Woodson was the onlydefensive player to win the Heisman in like a hundred years. The trophy goes to offensive players. Woodson got quite a few offfensive snaps to help his candidacy. He was also flat out fantastic! Lewis is great and I hope he comes back next year and both he and Peppers are in the Heisman conversation
