These one-on-ones are great,

These one-on-ones are great, Adam.  You definitely get less boiler plate/vague answers than in the standard press conferences.  I hope these features continue in the future with hoops as well.

I think this is just one of

I think this is just one of multiple "team only" pieces of gear that has been given out.  Over the summer those kids who participated in every practice got something special like this too.  Not going to find any of it at mden or moe's though.

Smart move by Houston to try

Smart move by Houston to try and keep him around, at least for another year.  While there are a ton of jobs available this year, are there really any that are that enticing beyond USC (California), Miami and VaTech?  I certainly expect Herman to be in the conversation for these spots if more veteran, high profile coaches don't fill them.  I'm most curious to see what Rich Rod will do.  VaTech or Miami seem to be where people think he'll end up.  I'd like to see what he could do at Miami w/ a real defensive coordinator.

It's amazing how much more

It's amazing how much more fun the end of the college football season is when Michigan is in the race.  No more playing for pride or playing to upset Ohio State's season.  I think we all expected this to be the case eventually, but to be here in year one is incredible.  Let's take care of business and root hard for a Sparty loss!  Let's gooooooo!!

That would be a fantastic

That would be a fantastic haul.  I think everyone gets way too worked up about the class size when discussing their projections.  It is just way too far out and there are too many variables, especially when accounting for presumed future attrition or decommits.  For example, this summer how many articles/posts did we read about all the attrition that never happened with certain linemen, WRs and DBs?

The personal birthday wishes,

The personal birthday wishes, the twitter edits from Aaron Bills and the active twitter account in general by JH are great small examples of the emphasis this staff has put on nailing the little things that are important in modern day recruiting.  Now let's please land Gary, Walker and Nauta.  Thanks.

The craziest thing is that

The craziest thing is that teams keep targeting him!  I guess he is typically lined up against the other team's best WR, so that might be why.

Some games, like the PSU

Some games, like the PSU game, is designated in advance as a game that can be "flexed" within 6 days of it based on the other games also being played that day.  Those games are at the network's discretion.  Here, the game was already announced as being at noon and there is no changing it now.

I agree with 1484.  I don't

I agree with 1484.  I don't think there is any rule prohibiting someone from playing who doesn't make the depth chart.  The news about Isaac being listed back on it though is encouraing.  Hopefully he and the staff can get on the same page, if that's been what's been the off-field issue.

I don't think we're going to

I don't think we're going to see Mone on the depth chart whether he plays or not.  JH is not one to tip his hand to the opposition.

In one of the early games we

In one of the early games we ran a rub on the goal line with Butt and Hill that commenters (maybe Brian) mentioned is something straight out of the Patriots' playbook.  Do people remember that play?  It worked perfectly and the defense had little time to react.  I'd like to see us go back to that again.

I think Beilein and Co. are

I think Beilein and Co. are giving Donnal an early opportunity to show he is worthy of staying in the rotation, a chance to compete and earn playing time.  It's clear to anyone watching that Doyle is the better fit for us at the 5.  He's still working on becoming more fluid down low but he's been much more effective than Donnal.  With Beilein wanting to have a two man rotation at the 5, I suspect we'll be seeing Wilson, the big with the most upside (besides Mo who we don't really know enough about yet), splitting time with Doyle once we're playing better opponents, like Xavier on Friday.

Wish we had another year with

Wish we had another year with him.  One problem w/ bringing in grad transfers like Ruddock and potentially Taysom Hill next year is that it takes time for them, and the rest of the team, to become comfortable w/ each other, as we're seeing now.  Hopefully next offseason we settle on someone who can be a multi-year starter.

For Jehu he's really become a

For Jehu he's really become a complete WR, not just a WR who excels at blocking on the outside.  We will need him to remain a deep threat these next two games so PSU and OSU don't load the box against us.

Macs

Any luck with a stream for mac users?

Usage Rate

can someone explain what Usage Rate is? Thanks.

Great call on the Bernie Mac similarity.

See you there

Definitely going to check it out.  Hopefully we have a better idea who our starting QB is by then.

Who passes on an open bar and Michigan Football?
