The bad rep he had for a few years for losing tough games was SO overblown.

Ross Taylor Douglass got some moves and quickness.

Turn Speight loose on a deep one!

I think Taylor-Douglas should have probably stayed as a DB, for depth. No?

He looks like Houma's built and skillset.

Every time I see RTD, I think he looks competent enough to at least get a shot during non-garbage time. I mean, he looks as good as Green or Isaac has. I'm not saying he's secretly great, just... good enough to share some of those third or fourth option carries

I want to get behind those cheerleaders. Been sprung half th game because of them.

Probably a good thing ... Needs a little work this year to get ready to be the main fullback next year.

jourdan lewis is fun to watch man, love his fire. hes a little grabby but the better CBs always are (and usually get away with a few more than are called). love his edge and confidence out there. and its always cool to see dudes who seem more mellow or lowkey off the field flip that switch and turn into crazy competitors in between the lines.
encouraging to see dymonte thomas (and hill to lesser extent today) make some plays and respond more instinctually when challenged. even if theyre ultimately not making the play (ie missing open field tackle after great job sniffing out screen, dropping a pick, not breaking down in run support, etc), theyre seeing valuable games reps and hopefully growing and putting it together. always a positive sign to see guys who arent the most instinctual or natural football players finding the ball, taking better angles, attacking in pursuit, getting hands on passes, showing some recognition ability (which is huge for safeties along with proper angles), etc.
LBs really struggle shedding blocks and making sure tackles (though rutgers pass O has been so poor that coverage play is non issue today). itll be really interesting to see what type LBs harbaugh recruits / signs over next few classes bc thats currently a hole in this D (that decent Os are attacking) and they obviously need to add some athletes (and theyll need to hit on good % bc some will need to play asap).
also great to see butt finally have another breakout game. chesson has been better, especially in terms of attacking the ball with his hands, and rudock looked more decisive both throwing and running, but butt has obviously always been the guy they need to find ways to involve

Dan Dierdorf "Now Rutgers is seeing real Michigan football tonight" as opposed to last year
November 7th, 2015 at 7:08 PM ^
Dierdorf is a terrible color guy. Just really awkward, they should find someone new.

I wish Speight could have thrown the ball more
November 7th, 2015 at 7:07 PM ^
Solid game. Lots to improve on though.
