Sparty Hate Thread Day One

So, MSU used to be #3 in the holy trinity of rivals.  Given recent events and the behavior of many friends and family who are Sparty fans, and MSU is very close to Ohio State in how much I hate their program.  The week has barely begun and too many Spartan friends are flooding social media, mocking Harbaugh and Michigan fans thinking they're "back."  I mostly keep to myself and always try to stay classy and respectful, but here's hoping Saturday is the beginning of the end for that program and their whining coach.  It was way more fun when they had legitimate reasons to feel inferior, but it is so predictable that the fans who were classless in losing are also sore winners who have to measure everything through the Michigan lens.

and then I want us to NOT call off said dogs.  I'll never forget Devin getting beat to shit vs. Sparty (and on the road 2X straight - thanks B1G), and I want the same fate for CCook.

I think the boys will be quite all week and I am assuming JH is going back into submarine mode as much as he can given this big game. At the end of the day I think its quitely simmering in the locker room and on game day Jims gonna look them all in the eye and say "Hey we're and we got something to prove! Leave it all out on the field die empty and come back to life during the bye week"

try determination, resolve, grit, eager anticipation all good on the players part (and us fans), but reserve hate for those few things in life that actually deserve it.

but I generally think of this as 'hate'. Its not true hate. That's a loathsome emotion rightfully saved for very few things. This is just exaggeration in the name of rivalry. 

I don't hate State. Or OSU for that matter. I know fine people who graduated from both. In all objectivity they are good universities, and good programs. Dantonio has done a fantastic job.

I seriously dislike those who have, completely and un-deservedly taken pot shots at me these past 7  years. If we win, I won't rub it in. I won't even bring it up. I will enjoy their silence; or indifferently ignore their whining if they can't be silent.

If we lose, so be it. But I want our team to beat them down so badly physically that their season will effectively be over. No injuries, of course, but enough hard hits and bruises that they physically and emotionally drop the next couple games.

I'm done with Dantonio's 'chip on the shoulder' nonsense; all while he deals out insults and slights against Michigan. 

I'm done with loud mouthed over bearing Spartan fans.

I'll always be respectful to those who are respectful to me. 

The best way to win is always to win with class. Expect to be back again.

Sparty seems to be all over now and they are loud.  I hope M stomps them Saturday and sending them back where they came.  I'm tired of all their BS talk.   

The team has come out of fire these last two home games.  Whew - lets give it to Sparty on Saturday!!!!

I look at Sparty like I do ISIS or Al Qaeda - upstarts who need to be thoroughly vanquished.  OSU is more like the British in the Revolutionary War or the War of 1812 - respectable, to some extent, but must be whipped to maintain our status.

On TheOnlyColors, they also have a hateweek article explaining historical reasons for hating us. But its basically just them bitching about the past, something they accuse us of often.
