New bowl projections: Michigan vs Arizona

Submitted by DISCUSS Man on

weekly thread.

ESPN: Michigan vs Arizona in the game that would make the universe explode. I don't think the space-time continuum could handle that game. That would easily be the biggest Holiday Bowl in the last 25 years.

Another ESPN projection has Michigan vs Texas A&M in the Citrus Bowl. 20 year anniversary of the last time they met in a bowl game.

SB Nation: Michigan vs Georgia in the Citrus Bowl

CBS: Michigan vs Missouri in the Outback Bowl. Missouri just beat UCONN in a 9-6 barnburner.

Nick Chubb is one of the top 2 or 3 runningbacks in the country, and their biggest playmaker might actually be Sony Michel.

They replaced Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall while those guys were still on the team.

I couldn't care less. Just as long as M gets into a bowl game. I think Harbaugh will make excellent use of the extra practices (they could use them) and it's nice to send the seniors out with a bowl game.

I've taken a liking to Arizona with RR... Mostly because they usually have the late game, and I like his coaching style down there. We got the coach I always wanted, RR fits better in zona, but I just have respect for that dude and am glad to see him doing well. Also, michigan losing to zona might literally cause a bunch of blue hairs to spontaneously combust if it happened.. Think of the blue hairs.

Oh, just remember. Arizona was one game away from being in a playoff spot last year. They just had to beat Oregon for the third time in a row. Cognitive dissonance seems to run rampant at times. That team proved itself.

No way of playing in that particular bowl until we find a way to pass longer than 15 yards down the field. I keep hearing people say that Harbaugh has been holding back play calling to use more explosive plays against stronger opponents and I hope we see that's true versus BYU.

i would take any of those in a heartbeat right now.  unless we find a way to beat BYU, then i say these are about right - in terms of the bowls offers anyway, if not the opponents.
