OT: Fall is coming...which means...
PUMPKIN BEER!
Not much time left for OT topics like this, so I came across this guide to the best pumpkin beers. Personally, this (pumkin beer) is one of my favorites (to drink) during football season.
Enjoy!

You clearly have malfunctioning taste buds.

I'm with you on this. For a couple months a year, pumpkin beer is a great option.
It's nothing like fruit beers or whatever "womanly" options this guy is hating on. Even if it were, I'd drink the shit out of it.
August 19th, 2015 at 3:04 PM ^
Not to mention it comes down to personal taste. Liking a particular type of drink doesn't make one less manly than another.

Says the guy that started the whole pissing match by saying Mad Hatter "had malfunctioning taste buds" after he stated his personal opinion lol

I thought beer was like pizza and sex. Yes, some can be better than others, but it is never bad.

I drink a ton of different styles, fruity, malty, hoppy, whatever, but I've never found a pumpkin beer that was anything better than barely tolerable. Most of my drinking buddies feel the same. I've been shocked at how successful they've been the last 3-4 years.
Different strokes, man.

I'll drink the hell out of some Rubaeus. It's flipping delicious.
I'm a man! I'm 32! I drink fruity beers during the summer and have no shame about it!

paragraph post about how much I like baths. I also like strawberry daiquiri's.
Is "soft parade" a euphemism for something?

Yes, and it's awesome. We just won't let you in on it since you don't like pumpkin beer.

Is that something I can google at work and maintain my employment?
Alternatively, can google that while drinking pumpkin beer from my granite countertop and maintain my marriage?

Pumpkin ale is my favorite behind Octoberfest. Shipyard and Jack-o Traveler pumpkin ales are my top two.

Same here. I think I associate fall beers with football, but either way fall is the best time and with it comes the best beer.

Craft beer is the shit and there are plenty of pumpkin ales to try. I noted Shipyard and Traveler above. Another great one is Smuttynose.

Buy a case. It's worth it.
Southern Tier has an Imperial Stout version of Pumking called Warlock. I suggest trying that as well. 10% abv.
August 19th, 2015 at 4:05 PM ^
Second. Pumking over all.

Pumpking is quite good for a fall flavor change-up beer. I'll look for the Schafly pumpkin ale. Haven't tried that one. I can't remember the other pumpkin beer I tried last fall that was surprisingly good. Oh, and for shandy fans, Widmer Hefe Shandy is quite good. I drank quite a few of those while sitting on the shores of Lake Huron earlier this month. It's got the lemon shandy flavor, but it doesn't overpower the wheat beer base flavor. Nice.

I bought a six pack of it to try out last weekend. It did not last long.

Pumking and Schlafly are my favorites, but I tried the Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin from this list, and it was pretty good too.

on there I haven't tried yet. I'll be trying the ones I can get my hands on in the Midwest. I enjoy the pumpkin beers greatly. I have already gone through my first round of Pumking bottles, Schlafly Pumpkin Ale, and Smuttynose Pumpkin Ale.
I really wish Cigar City was available in the Midwest. That brewery makes some damn good beer.

To be fair, Indianapolis has New Day, which makes one of the best meads around, Breakfast Magpie. It drinks like a coffee blackberry truffle. You can thank me later.
August 19th, 2015 at 4:42 PM ^
We have some solid beers in Indy that I really enjoy. I haven't had that one from New Day, but I'll definitely give it a try now.
I must have upset a couple of Colts fans with my pic. I love Indy, but I hate that damn team.

I have ever found is since I moved to the Youngstown, OH area is a place in Boardman at the corner of Rt. 224 and South Ave. called Vintage Estates. They sell craft and import beer from all over the world. They have approx. 1200 different brands.
My wife bought a pumpkin ale. She liked it, I did not. My preference is a chocolate, coconut or oatmeal stout with no less than an 8% ABV. The darker the beer the better for me.
Beer is is wonderful....it makes us happy.....when we are happy we drink more beer because it makes us happy and when we are happy we...well you get the idea.
Whatever your flavor choice is, go with it and cheers!!

The Wine Seller in AA is my go-to. Very respectable selection and the owner will order things if they don't have it.

Maybe closer to Canton is Good Time party store. They have a great selection, you can pick any bottles to make your own six pack, and the people that work there really know their stuff.
August 19th, 2015 at 3:46 PM ^
Or you meant Canton, OH and not Canton, MI; in which case disregard.

I like how this thread title stacked atop the one currently below it on the board spells out "Fall is coming...which means...college football arrests"
