Hello: Nike
The wording might have been weird. Boost > Red October > Rest of Nike, but I'm not going to downgrade the LV's just because they're getting old.
I have heard they're eventually going to sell Boosts to anyone willing to pay MSRP, but that could be years down the road.

Haven't worn Nike anything since Michigan signed with adidas except the Sugar Bowl Champions hat in 2011 which doesn't really count since Nike had the BCS contract and Michigan's locker room gear was gonna be Nike. Did buy the adidas champions shirt though.
When I played football, everyone had orange and black Nike cleats and I was the only one who had custom adidas cleats. Boxed all my Nike stuff up and put it in storage.
That's what I'm going to be doing with most of my adidas stuff to make room in my closet and drawers.
At least Michigan is getting paid to advertise for these criminals, you're paying some huge multiplier factor for the privilege to wear sweatshop garbage with a logo on it instead of the same crap without a logo! It would be bad enough if you were giving them free advertising by wearing their logo but you are paying them, and not only paying them but grossly over paying them!
PT Barnum needs a faster abacus!

Good news! I prefer Nike and would have been OK with Under Armor but, ultimately I'm just happy it's not Adidas.
Or K-Swiss at the very least.

With the switch, will we see any new Nike fan gear this season? Or do they need to wait for the Adidas contract to end, so not until the 2016 season?

That's a good one. Made me chuckle

Even the guys over 11 Warriors approve of the move, in their own backhanded way:

Michigan to Nike is so sweet if it's true
My Nike shorts from 2006 are still going strong. Meanwhile, my Adidas shorts from 2012 have already faded and would be repulsive to wear in public. THANK YOU, Jim (Hackett and Harbaugh!)
Last time Michigan wore a Nike football jersey:
Those road uniforms were the best
dumb piping
I like Harbaugh's '80s road unis myself, but any uni worn during a win is good looking to me.

If true the announcement is guaranteed to mention it not being the biggest financial offer but what the student athletes preferred.
