247 - Harbaugh Pushing the Right Buttons at Michigan
You're gd right he is.
http://247sports.com/Bolt/Jim-Harbaugh-pushing-the-right-buttons-at-Mic…
We all expect that Harbaugh will be successful at Michigan. He was successful at San Diego and Stanford before finding success in the NFL He's a great Xs and Os and motivational coach and he's now at one of the most storied programs in college football history. He's not taking that for granted though.
No program or head coach is marketing itself quite like Michigan and Jim Harbaugh. If any coach has the chops to sit back and let his reputation speak for itself, Harbaugh would be the guy. But instead of taking a holier-than-thou approach, Harbaugh is treating Michigan like it has something to prove. He's thinking outside the box, letting fans and recruits behind the curtain and showing personality in the process. And it works.
gd right.
What is this Michigan-related non-sense? We should be talking more about trains and jorts and poop!

Oakland is still in play
every time it's posted. I love it when jokes just get beat into the ground. They actually get funnier.
Pretty sure this is the same principle behind Katy Perry's music.

Ive called Ian out on twitter 2432423 times he has yet to reply.
everytime he "reports" something on twitter I ask him about Harbaugh and the NFL
never relent
....somebody has that gif ready, the one with Harbaugh holding the College Football Championship trophy.........wearing an Oakland Raiders cap!
Ok that might be too far but if it ends up with Harbaugh holding..etc., etc. I'll take it.
Schefter was the keynote speaker at the Chicago Alumni Club's annual meeting last month while he was in town for the draft -- plenty of questions came up about Harbaugh, of course (I clearly asked him about Jimbo), and he stil defended his stance. He noted that all of his best sources and ones inside Jim's camp were adamant that Oakland was going to be the move.
Could tell that getting that one wrong was still eating at him.
But he whiffed on that one. He just needs to let it gooooo . . . .
Just think where we were a year ago at this time. It's a whole new world, that none of us could have possibly expected. Ever.
Truly amazing.
I almost think its still not real until I see him on the sidelines for the first game. Ready for some greatness to occur.
is going to be awesome. Like a big drink of water after a long walk through the desert.
Damn I'm glad we got him.
but only because there isn't one nearby.
I do some weird shit, ok?
10000 mgopoints.
thanks!
It would be more appropriate if an Allison Brie post got you to 10,000, but this will have to do.
You can save her for 15,000.
And 20,000.
And 25,000.
Over 111 posts per day.
I just post a lot of smart and funny things that earn massive amounts of upvotes. But thanks for playing.
Something like that. . .

How depressing would this season be if Hoke was back for another year? The darkest timeline....

...now that I have, I'm sad.
Yay something positive about Michigan after 48 hours of Countess leaving, Norfleet limbo, Minick's DUI and Fab 5 drama.
Everyone needs to calm down about recruiting. The last 48 hours have surely given some people worry as not only have we had some bad press, but Michigan State has gotten 4 (3*...their whole class is 3* it's not impressive save for 2 prospects) recruits.
Jim isn't supposed to be winning recruiting battles as a coach who has only been here for 5 months, but he is.
"But Dr. Toboggan, why aren't we getting commitments?? Surely the sky is falling and we are doomed!"
In a month we will have run the most extensive satellite camp circuit that has ever been done and probably ever will be done. In the middle of that, the two top players in Indiana are set to announce, and our stock is rising with both. At the end of this month one of the best offensive lineman in the land is visiting...his brother plays baseball for us. If we don't have any more commitments by June 15th I'd be alarmed, but I bet we have at least 3. Things will go into hyper speed when we start winning in September.
The sky will always be blue and the sun warm and maize in Jimmytown.

This is the money quote:
If any coach has the chops to sit back and let his reputation speak for itself, Harbaugh would be the guy.
Instead, he is out there hustling like he's a rookie coach with something to prove.
I like our chances.
It really does feel like this is a new era dawning for Michigan football under Harbaugh because, for the first time in a while, we have a program that is - by all appearances (for we've yet to experience a season under Harbaugh) - building real success and a culture that fosters it. The beauty of it is that it is being fostered by someone who really doesn't need to do anything special to do it - this is simply who and what Jim Harbaugh is as a person.
