Saw the "2 Hours" thing like 2 mins ago

Too late.

Doesn't seem like deadline time for a Hail. Maybe next year.

A Dexter HS Grad a pro too

Alexey Vermeulen is only 22 and on the Dutch team Lotto-Jumbo.

Is it just me

or does it seem like the B1G school presidents have been asleep at the switch for years? The league just seems to careen down the highway like a 70's caddy with bald tires and no shocks. That's where the blame belongs IMHO.

RIP Sgt. Tipper

If you'd like to more fully understand how average Americans beat the professional German Army, read Citizen Soldier and Band of Brothers. Truly amazing.

Day Off Today!

Unfortunately, it will go in the official work record as a sick day.  Here's to tomorrow.

Bon Chance

fine sir!  You will always be a part of the All Hair team in A2.

Can we add Western

And kick out Rutgers? PJ might have won 5 or 6 B1G games in the West.

How much longer

before Rutgers figures out they are the "gag" school of the B1G?  Comedic relief, W's, and cable $$'s for the rest of the league.

Boo-Boo Bug

Has moved on to Oregon.

Something is wrong with that Ref

Like medically really wrong. Was clearly confused, needs a neurological work up. Don't want him showing up on any crew handling a Michigan game.

I loved that show

I Dream of Djinni.

Worked for a Detroit Old-Timer

back in the day at an old-line Detroit bank who couldn't understand why he had to pay college grads more than the $17.9k per year he started at back in the '60's.

It happens.

Eats, shoots, and leaves. Punctuation is a funny thing.

If Swarbrick has to admit defeat and fire Kelly

He might also be a goner.  Even Father What's-his-name might see that, hence the He's My Guy statement.

Helfrich made a mistake in hiring Hoke, yes

But Brady made a mistake taking that job. Weakened head coach needing a D fix job that Hoke had never done before.  Hoke walked in with lower job security and no experience as DC.  He should have taken a pass.

Don Meredith impression

at the end of the Northwestern/MSU game, "Turn out the lights, the party's over . . . .".

And PJ Fleck's Broncos.

The interesting thing about the Wiscy game

is tOSU is vulnerable, on both sides of the ball.  UW dropped a very winnable game.  I like UMich's chances in Nov.

Restocking

The household inventory with the semi-annual Costco supply run. Generally doing whatever the wife aks the rest of the day, including grilling yummy dead animals for dinner. Old friends over later for brews and football after that.

One of the All-Time Greats

For so many reasons, take your pick.  Thanks for posting.

UChicago

Should join for hockey. B1G needs more teams, The school has a little used field house that could be renovated to accommodate hockey, and generally hockey players might have the best chance to get admitted.

Not a recent decision

But a well established culture. UChicago values, above all else, the open scientific and intellectual inquiry that leads to the formation of new knowledge. That can't happen without free and open discourse.

UChicago is a crazy, wild west type of place intellectually. You can have any opinion or point of view you want there, but if you can't deliver a cogent supporting argument, you get an unmerciful debate-style beat down. The most interesting thing to me about the culture was how people who held odd, unusual, or uncommon beliefs were actually sought out in a curious, tell-me-more-about-that kind of way.

of making a living off of M's sub-par program, it's hard for other coaches to accept their meal ticket has expired.

My eyes keep trying to see the Woodson silhouette.  It's more disconcerting than I'd imagined.

Big12 Taking applications, huh?

I'll just go aheand and fill these out for you, PSU, SUofNJ.

Probably figures

the Tom Crean-Indiana relationship isn't going to last much longer, so what's the chance?

And

I thought all the 'corporate issue', everybody-wears-the-same-styles stuff was supposed to stop with Nike.  Blech.

The ND debacle

is a disturbing early start.  If John Bacon starts writing again, we know we're in trouble.

Why are they still

in the B1G?  Their sleaze continues to slime the whole deal.

Babe Didrikson Zaharias

Multi-sport star, puts her ahead of single sport athletes.  Track & Field (Olympic medals in both), Basketball, Tennis, and of course, Golf.  In Golf, she won 17 straight amateur titles, 82 total tournaments, and every available golf title in the world.

Pocketed $900+ one year

When we had the big kid's clothing and toy extravaganza.  Spent it most of it on a nice Glock G41 my neighbor had for sale in his.  Less crap and a new toy for Dad, a two-fer!

It's Friday,

maybe there'll be another John Bacon book in our future, Warde.

Wasting $2 Million

On this move is malfeasance.  Where are Schlissel and the Regents, aren't they supposed to be the ultimate grown ups around here?  I'd be fired if I blew $2 million on a deal like this.

Don't need Notre Dame THAT badly

That's very expensive in terms of cash and prizes. Aand how does UMich, of all people, have such terrible schedules? Not impressed with Warde's first big move.

That's crazy.

That's crazy.

Maybe I'm the only iPad user

but that app's banner still has Hoke on it.  Just sayin', as long as banner maintenance is happening.
