If I'm remembering right, 2010 v. Illinois had kids rushing the field. After a game with 1,200 yards and 130+ points, it was appropriate.

I was at that game as well. The only rushing onto the field there was was by the team.
You were too busy telling Candace Cameron Bure about the rich history of Michigan Football.

As DPS student security stationed on the field in front of the student section that game, I can confirm that there was (thankfully) no rushing the field that game.
I was grateful because the only thing I was allowed to do if someone did rush the field was try to get in front of them and use my legs (not kicking), but could not use my arms.
I sat in the front row. Maybe 15-20 rushed and it was underwhelming
I'm in there somewhere. It was pretty common before they lowered the field and put a wall around it to protect the grass. I remember being out there for OSU '83 and '93 as well, among others.
1979 vs Indiana. I don't recall anything of particular excitement during the game to cause it, but there you go.
(not sure if serious)
Pretty sure not serious.
Ufer was so chill that day.
So, who is that in your avatar? Doesn't look familiar...
11/28/15
beat me to it. Bravo.
Others not listed in the thread-
1969, 24-12 over #1 OSU
1982, 52-21 over Purdue (clinched Big Ten Championship)
1983, 24-21 over #10 OSU
1994, 26-24 over ND.....at Notre Dame Stadium
Remy Hamilton....Mr. Clutch that week. I was there and although I didn't personally rush the field, I remember that quite well. Did that kick ever come down? I remember it being pretty booming even for being a 42-yard kick.
Did we rush the field after the AC catch against Indiana?
Was there a Minnesota game with an onfield celebration afterwards during that timeframe?
We rushed the field when Michigan beat Purdue to seal the Big Ten championship in, I think, 1980. I was personally smashed in the ribs by an Ann Arbor policeman while hanging from the goal post (which did come down). I was already well medicated though, so no problem.
to the day when beating MSU doesn't warrant more than a "oh good, as expected" reaction.

there was almost no drop from the field to the first row of stands. The field was lowered almost 10 feet in 1991. Field rushes were a lot more common prior to 1991 because it was so much easier and safer to get from the stands onto the field.
This.
Wouldn't even call them 'rushes'.
More like, 'hey, the game's over, let's go mill around on the field'.
Lots of kids with nerf balls and whatnot.
People would just wander onto the field because it was a place to hang out while the stadium emptied.
2011 vs. OSU (Hoke's first year, ended the losing streak)
2012 vs. MSU (last second field goal to end the losing streak)
2008 vs. PSU (MARIO MANNINGHAM!!! Not a huge rush, but there were defintely students jumping onto the field.)
2008, eh?

Sure you were there for the Manningham game? It was in 2005.
The 2008 game was in State College and we got killed.
Just a few
900th win in program history and was a thrilling finish. Have no problem with it.
Ah, you're facing south... I was in pretty much the exact spot on the other side. It must have been mostly the student section.
Fun fact about this field-rushing: I was watching the game around a very famous Detroit and his wife, who were trying to contact their kid in the student section with a phone call, to make eventual dinner plans.
I politely pointed out to them that the cell phones don't really work in the Big House, and if Michigan wins this in a dramatic way, chances are good that we'll all rush the field.
One game-winning FG later, I'm on the field and see this guy celebrating while getting his family together.
carried off the field exhausted after beating OSU's Team of the Century in 1969. RIP Jim.

I was at the 2011 Ohio State game. I wouldn't say we "rushed" the field. We really contemplated doing it for a while, and then decided it would be ok. Normally, I wouldn't rush the field under any circumstances.
M 14, OSU 6. I was on the field after the game, and suddenly there were all these people swarming toward me in roughly a u shape, and I was inside the U. Took me a second, but I realized it was the goalpost being carried toward me and I had to turn and sprint out of the middle and around the edge to avoid a trampling. Was actually kind of scary, mostly because I ain't and never was fast. On the way out of teh stadium I grabbed a nice blue folding chair that was on the field and carried it out past all the cops and everyone ese. Still have it. Was also there for Indiana in 79 but don't remember it as clearly, just remember AC's touchdown.
1986 Iowa at Michigan. Hawkeyes fumbled with about 30 seconds to go. Mike Gillette kicked the field goal keeping Michigan undefeated.
by a similar scenario to Iowa the year before Iowa City.
Vivid memories of that game. For one I was 16 and it was the first time I was able to drive to a game by myself. Mom and Dad couldn't go that weekend and left the tickets with me and younger bro. Amazing game, one of many between Bo and Hayden during that run.
Memory may be blurred because I was at field level and then "rushed the field" but I seem to recall waiting to see others rush the field before doing so, so as not lose my job. Either way, it was awesome.
