2015 4* G Kenny Williams receives LOI release; Beilein to visit
Per Scout, Kenny Williams has received his release from VCU and John Beilein will visit him in-home this week. Beilein has a policy of requiring a campus visit prior to committing, so if an on campus visit is scheduled, it would definitely heighten expectations of a commitment.
With no announcements regarding attrition and no change in Hatch's scholarship situation, I think it's safe to assume at this point that Williams is a back-up plan in case Caris leaves.
As to timing, Caris is deciding on April 26 and Jaylen Brown will be committing by the end of the month (April 29 IIRC), so Michigan will probably know the decisions of both LeVert and Brown prior to any decision by Williams (which would have to come during/after an as-yet-unplanned visit to campus).
I don't know the name of the individual, but its not Zachary Ty Bryan from Home Improvement.
I have children. Thank you!
Although this is the second thread on the subject, this one had the background information regarding what precisely this was happening, so it will be the one to stay, in case anyone is wondering why the first one was removed. I thought I would make the notation in here rather than in the Mod Sticky this time around.

Go OSU!
You have to be the least inflammatory troll ever. Do you really think we are offended to see "Go OSU?"
The whole trolling thing works better when you say things that actually upset us. As it stands now, the only thing you are accomplishing is more work for the mods. This is some really low level stuff...
Yea I am soft gentle and low level troll. Not that bad really.
Isn't it time for your shift at Burger King? You better get ready.

Of course you do.
Or are you a bagger at Kroger?
So McDonald's then?
Do you realize how many people actually "LOL" when they see OSU on a resume? It's a joke of a school.

I see no issue with it. Always a good thing to fall back on. Sports are up and down (and don't really matter). A degree from Michigan will always beat one from OSU.

Personally, I think Levert stays; the fact that he's not out of the boot does not bode well for him leaving. Also, I think there's another option for Beilein and that's grayshirting Wagner. He's already in Germany; he could play another year there and join the team in 2016. That's opens up his scholarship to sign Brown or Williams, and Hatch stays on the team. I just find it odd that it took him two weeks for him to commit, especially since Michigan is still high on/waiting for Jaylen Brown. I wouldn't be surprised if that happens.
That makes the most sense.
I have seen this mentioned a couple times, but I don't think this is how medical redshirts work. If Spike Albrecht took a medical redshirt, he would still count against Michigan's scholarship number for 2015-16; the redshirt would only allow him to preserve his one remaining year of eligibility for 2016-17. The only way he would not count is if he took a medical scholarship and never played basketball again. That is how I thought it worked, but I welcome anyone who may know more about the process to chime in.
I think it does work the way you said, but I would be really happy to be wrong

borrow your bong to smoke catnip again?
Jaylen Brown is heading elsewhere? Or are they different positions?

I'm ok with Wagner staying in Germany, grayshirting, and coming next year and Michigan signs Brown or Williams this year. Would be a helluva move by Beilein. And it would set up some depth and deep tourney runs for next few seasons.
They're different positions, but yes it seems likely that Brown is headed elsewhere.
I don't think it says anything about Brown. It's a contingency plan.
Probably is, but it also takes his scholarship.

Um, that's not how a contingency plan works. A contingency plan means that if Brown decides to go elsewhere we take him. It is "contingent" upon Brown not taking that spot.
