I'd argue that he was the 2nd best player on the OL last year to Cole. I'd probably lose that argument (Glasgow), but it wouldn't be laughable. He was certainly better than Kalis and Braden.

Best of luck Jack Miller in your future. Big oppurtunity for Kugler or Glasgow to nail down the C spot. Do you think this had to do with injury or Harbaugh not promising him his starting spot back?
More Miller decision... leaving to "focus on studies and pursue business opportunities."

FOucus on Studies??~! I was on the runner-up AB intramural basketball team in 2007 and managed to get all A's. I also won a grad league bball championship while in law school. High level athletics and high-level studies can be done!!

Is that the new residence for transients that's owned by the families of Kameron Chatman and the late American League MVP Zoilo Versalles?

very obscure Fiddler on the Roof reference that I only know about because Dad played that 8-track on a continuous loop on one of our road trips to California. That's not exactly true, we rotated among Fiddler on the Roof, Chorus Line, and John Denver & the Muppets' Christmas Album.

This still feels too soon to me.

Didn't he retire?

Is Alex Kozan done with his vision quest yet?
Wow. An o-lineman with experience deciding to give it up. That is huge. I wonder what prompted it.
Perhaps. Or maybe he didn't like or fit in with the new coaching staff. Either way we need someone to step up big into the center position.

I'd be tired of the muggles too, reading some of the bullshit on this thread.
Best of luck to him. It would have been nice to have his experience available on the line, though.
How often do players forego 5th years vs coaches asking them not to return? And of those times, how often do the coaches talk them out of that decision?
42. The answer is 42.
was between 35-45. I was pretty close.
there would be no math.

there's always Math. sadly.
Please explain to me how he was passed on the depth chart? I have ready every single bit of content coming out of both major pay sites and this site over hte past 3 weeks and have not heard a whisper of Jack getting passed. To me, this seems like he was sick of football and quit. No addition by subtraction bull shit. No bad fit etc.
Actually, Sam Webb (earlier this week) said that Miller was a lock for his starter position, so he was certainly expected to play a valuable role.
They wouldn't have let him? What the hell is stopping anyone from quitting the team at any time?
Hahah your new so ill go easy but..."they" can not make him play football. Our players aren't slaves
My guess is that practices were a bit harder than coach Hoke's and there are some signficant cutltural shifts occuring. Jack probably looked at the grind ahead of him and said, "I dont need this...im out, dueces"

We should take your confident pronouncements about what's going on inside spring practice with the same seriousness that we take your expertise on STDs.

He's not new.
Did Jim Harbaugh say this to you while you were discussing your Ann Arbor real estate empire?
March 12th, 2015 at 10:11 AM ^
I have no knowledge of why Jack left, but if, as you posit, he was "sick of football and quit," then this is indeed addition by subtraction. One of the issues that I have found over the past 7 years, and certainly over the past 2, was that our teams appeared to lack drive and quit down the stretch. (No, not every player on the team, as there were plenty of Jake Ryan, Denard, V. Smith, Odoms, Gallon types, as well). Our team has certainly lacked an identity and a certain fire of late.
Now, I am not saying that Jack was in any way responsible for, or a part of, that problem, but if he has become sick of football and quit, then it is probably best for all parties if he moves on with his degree. Aside from the technical aspects, I think that wthe best asset that Harbaugh will instill in this team is a level of intensity that we have not seen in ages. Those who don't want to put in the work, who are sick of football, or who do not fit with that mentality, for whatever reason, probably shouldn't stick around, as it will be unpleasant for them and could be a detriment to the team.
