Think I might be done with the basketball team this season. Simply too young, and no real leader. Walton never made the Burke/Stauskas leap between Fresh/Soph year, and this is killing chemistry.

We might as well be a mid-major. Our players are either too scared or athletically inferior ... they have NO confidence to take the ball inside the paint. Conversely, OSU has a layup line going right now. They are getting right to the cup, even after a made basket. Pathetic.

swore the sophomore jump was real, some people thought walton, irvin, and levert would go pro. So I was thinking some more and the only guys on our roster who werent plans B or C in recruiting: walton, irvin, chatman, donnal, doyle...thats it, literally everyone else was late offers to make up for missing out on top prospects...and its starting to show.

My life has now turned in to constantly asking if it football or basketball season yet. Can we just not fucking suck huge donkey dick and let me actually enjoy the fucking season we are in?

this year was ruined when Mitch got booted. I hoped it wouldn't be this bad, but the Walton injury and th Wilson injury (he was the most ready of all the freshman/redshirt freshman, even if he didn't get the system fully yet) helped push it over the top.

Maybe next year we can consider a fucking big man transfer? Hello?

but doing the same thing over and over when it is not working = stupidy. This team can not run the same offense that the past few teams could. Time to change to something else. If I see one more shot go up with no one to rebound I am going to lose it. This team needs to play small and push the ball. They can not play a halfcout game and win.

my point. When the players you have can not execute what you are trying to run you should have another option in your bag. It frustrates the hell out of me. It kind of reminds me of the spread verses manball argument. Coaches need to be flexible enough to adapt to talent.

I understand Donnal is too weak, but that was a non-competitive attempt at defense, Spike's pass was ridiculous, and Caris not taking that to the hole was absurd.

I expected the result tonight - they are a terrible matchup for us, as they play a sticky zone that can be pressed high to the max because we have nothing inside - and you knew tonight that crowd would be ready for murder - but this is unacceptable.

Although I want everyone who fell all over themselves about keeping Hatch on athletic scholarship to realize that could have been a big man transfer.

Which it is insane we didn't sign in the offseason. Flat out insane.

12-9 (incl the BIG tourney) may be enough.  i expect to lose a couple at home.  can't afford to lose any more than that.  then, we need to win 3-4 on the road.  we have one.  NW and Rutgers are still out there.  need to steal one other and win a couple in the BIG tourney.

is it likely?  no.  but it is possible.
