Michigan 75/1 odds to win 2015 CFP championship
Sigh.
I hope these odds get better some day.

' putting $10 on that today!!!

I might put down $100. Get a grad transfer QB, some great S&C, and Harbaugh could be off to the races.
Huge said that one rating service has the odds at 100/1, and that they would have been 300/1 if JH wasn't the coach.

OSU was 40:1 after Miller went down and they lost to V Tech.
So yes, there is a chance.

This better describes the feeling:

For some reason, I agree with everything you say.

Good.
Rutgers, Maryland, PSU and IU are all ass.
January 13th, 2015 at 4:26 PM ^
PSU isn't gonna be that bad with Hack coming back. Especially if they shore up that Oline.
Can't believe I'm saying this but IU might be decent if they can keep their QB healthy and replace Coleman with a decent backup. Oh and get an average defense.
January 13th, 2015 at 4:36 PM ^
I don't understand why people are so impressed by Hackenberg. He tied the PSU record for most interceptions in a season (15) and most sacks in a season (42). He only threw for 8 touchdowns.
January 13th, 2015 at 4:46 PM ^
I would like to think Hack just suffered from Devin Gardner Syndrome, in which he was battered so much (due to shitty Oline play) he got antsy resulting in bad decisions. Oh and it doesn't seem like Franklin can coach him as well as BoB did his freshman year.

I'd take Hackenberg in a second. He'll be playing on Sunday's when it's all said and done.

I think that second number explains the other two (he actually had 12 TD passes, not 8, if you count the bowl game), and why people figure him getting a chance at all back there is good. That team couldn't do anything else offensively, and while I'm not buying into him being an elite QB, he and that defense still got them to 7 wins.

are high on Hackenberg. Some thinks that he's #1 overall material FWIW

IU doesn't get players like Tevin Coleman very often. The last Indiana player I can remember who was at a comparable level of ability was Randle El, and that was what--20 years ago?
January 13th, 2015 at 6:22 PM ^
Randle El is a year younger than me, so yeah, it's coming up on twenty years ago. Point taken. More recently than him, perhaps Marcus Thigpen, but only because he is in the school's top 5 in terms of all-purpose yards. I am thinking out loud there, but yeah, it doesn't happen there too often, and Thigpen was no Antwaan Randle El.
Interestingly, Randle El's time there coincides with Cam Cameron's time at Indiana, where he finished with a cool 18-37 record, as I recall.

His name is Jordan Howard from UAB as a transfer and is eligible to play immediately. He ran for over 1,500 yards last season. He's really good and may be the 2nd best back in the conference after Zeke Elliot.

I just saw something on a Cleveland sports focused website where one of the staff writers' friends put $20 down on OSU to win the title after they lost to Virginia Tech. Odds? 75-1

it already happened, its just that our cosciousnesses have not yet caught up with that moment in time

I would rather see an appreciation thread for this comment.

Last year Bovada listed the preseason favorites for the championship playoff series, which consisted of Alabama, Florida State, Oregon and Ohio.

They have more favorite than anyone not named Alabama or Florida State.

Betting on teams within the top 10 in odds don't provide the same return as betting on them in every game does.
