Helfrich looked like a boss on the field in a suit. I'd love to see that brought back to football, no offense to our khaki-clad coach.

Clock strikes midnight on Cardale.
Or should I say, the schoolbell rings on Cardale.

Is the actual kickoff at 8:30pm or more like 8:50? Anyone know? Googling found lots and lots of listings of 'kickoff - 8:30pm'...but I'm skeptical.

So much stuff on Ohio State... nothing on Oregon.

Cardale Jones said he's not at Ohio to go to school. But tonight he's going to learn four new words: Regression to the mean.

Will anyone admit that they are rooting for OSU?
I hope Oregon scores 80.

The J Ira and Nicki Harris Head Coach admitted it.

Diplomacy at its best. I doubt Jim will even watch the game. He's too engrossed in his own team.

He did say it but that was supposed to be as sarcastic as possible. Hopefully Harbaugh can find some time to relax, whether it's watching the game or whatever.

kinda.
I would look forward to JH knocking them off in November in Ann Arbor. It is exactly the kind of dramatic motivator that he seems to thrive on.
But no, I cannot possibly bring myself to root for tOSU. It is an unnatural act that is not in my DNA. So if the Ducks go up by 80, good.

That was awesome. I didn't know you could say half that on TV...especially an hour before a billion watch this game.

You can say penis and ass on TV. How come they censored the rest then? Censorship never ceases to confuse me.

Just like they can show some one getting shot and blownup and all sorts of extremely violent things, but dammit we cannot show a nipple!

I once lived in Marion Ohio for nine months, I am 3G Wolverine, and I despise Ohio deeper than the boson metaphysical level. I will be rooting loudly for Oregon while hoping that every Buckeye athletic supporter ever wilts from a massive energy burst shot by space aliens ala

MSU in the Rose Bowl last year and OSU in the Championship this year...I'm ready for our time in the spotlight.

This feels like the longest pregame show in years. I'd hate to be one of those players, basically getting warmed up for 2 hours.

good enough to help the conference stature, so I'm definitely rooting for Oregon 100%. However in the event of a Buckeye win, we can fall back on the notion that the Big 10 could be considered the new strongest conference in the Power 5 next season and board the Harbaugh freight train into the 2015 season.
In all seriousness, though ... doesn't it feel a bit like we're "elite" again? I know that may sound absurd, but I traveled to Austin this week and whenever I brought up Michigan (which I always do in conversation with new people I meet), I got responses like "you guys are building quite a staff up there" and "Respect ... that's a good program."

Have family in Oregon so I've liked the ducks for a while. This is a game where Oregon could win by 3 or 50 and it would be equally entertaining.
