Happy Thanksgiving to all of MGoBlog. We all have a lot to be thankful for as a whole, and also within the University of Michigan community. Tough to argue with that under any circumstances. My Thanksgiving is off to a decent start by going to see the movie 2012. I would never tell a person that this movie is one that they should go see. TERRIBLE movie, but I still had some fun seeing it with some friends and laughing at every unrealistic thing in it (that's a lot of things). Just when you think something will happen negatively, they barely get through and keep going. Just a really dumb movie, but I guess it did have some sweet special effects. The effects are the only reason that the movie was entertaining for me. I guess you can be thankful that I put this out there and you now won't suffer through this one. Classic American movie with the happy endings.
Happy Thanksgiving

Just got back from the Stoney LaRue concert at the Girzzly Rose - AWESOME!
Happy Turkey Day -
I will watch Michigan at 10am - Turkey with the 40+ family members from 12-3p - then tailgate for the Denver Broncos domination of the Giants starting at 3pm - game at 6pm!
I'll be looking awesome in the 11th row - above the Broncos tunnel- hammered drunk - watching the Broncos victory!
It took me 11 minutes to right this!
Go Blue!!!

It's 2.30am here and my smoker is just getting up to temperature with a 15.5 pound birdie inside. I'll nap for a few more hours then flip back and forth between UofM basketball and the lions game...while sitting next to a pile of grading that I should be working on. Then it's turkey, wine and board games all night long.

One hour per pound. Had my first smoked bird last year and it's hard to go back. I'm jealous. Enjoy!

Most of my friends don't get up at 6am on Thanksgiving morning (you have my admiration, david from wyoming) but I'm getting ready for the Turkey Trot in Niles. Nothing like a race in the morning to justify the extra helping(s) at dinner time.
I am thankful in part for this blog, but also for being a graduate student at ND, the one place where they are so wound up about their own team and coach they don't have time to give me crap about mine. (I do recommend skimming through some of the comments at bluegraysky. It's bit of a flashback with the Haloscan and the hand-wringing. Even THE KNOWLEDGE has dropped in with his Sarkisian prediction. YES.)
Have a great Thanksgiving and safe travels.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
Today I am thankful for Manny Harris, Deshawn Sims and Darius Morris. Go Blue! Excited for this early season test.
I am also thankful for Chuck Wood. News of his donation shows what kind of true blue Michigan man he is. Stud.
Of course thankful for this blog. It has provided me many outlets for my frustrations for the past 2 years, and it has also given me hope for the future in more ways than one.
I am also thankful for Rich Rod and Cullen Christian.
Heck, the list could go on and on, but Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!!
