Sure, here's my "Dear Mr Hackett" letter.

Dear Mr Hackett:

The Inbred Michigan Coaching Tree has finally done what nobody could do to me in 54 years of watching the Wolverines: they have drained my passion for the University of Michigan football team.  I watched this team lose in the most boring way possible and watched some horrenedous officiating calls that may or may not have made a difference.

I didn't even bother to yell at the TV.

Please bring some life into this program.  The normal Inbred Michigan Coaching Tree hire isn't going to inject any passion back into this program.  Jim Harbaugh is exempt because he went elsewhere to learn coaching.  If Jim Harbaugh doesn't want the job, please do not offer it to any other "insider."  Do not offer it to an assistant who has no head coaching experience.  Do not offer it to anyone who doesn't have a track record of success.

It's time for one of the five best programs in the country to start acting like it.  Make a statement and hire a top five coach to go with a top five program.  Why?  Because, if the current "status quo" is draining someone like me of my passion for Michigan football, it is draining a lot of other people, too.

Respectfully Yours...

My mother was telling my visiting cousin how crazy I am when watching Michigan football. I told her actually I have lost a lot of my passion this year and am kind of numb when watching them. I hate how bad the program has become. Even the sugar bowl we won a few years back seemed like a gift. It definately did not seem earned.

Just bring in Harbaugh. I couldn't care less about what else you do. Just find a way to bring that man here. Whatever it takes. Whatever it costs.

The losing needs to stop now. Forget about the regents and the alums. Our players deserve better.

$3.50 more than that a year to any coach who can get us back to the promised land...you know in case he has to loan money to the God damn Loch Ness monster.

Going to be hilarious when people are still writing that Hoke should remain the coach.

I called it 4 years ago, RR was getting better, I wanted to keep him.  Karma is a bitch! Arizona just creamed Utah and will be flirting with the top 10.

Maybe this fan base will finally learn some humility and get off its collective high horse.  It's been 10+ years since Michigan was relevant in college football.

You sound like a buckeye troll, be gone with you. Rrod was def a boarder line fire but was reasonable. Hind sight is 20-20, the status quo was calling for his head.. Now the only thing we can do is ante up and get the right man to lead this team to victory. If you think Michigan deserves anything less than a great coach and a winning team you are fundamentally fucked in your head.

It will be a blessing that the interim AD gets to make the hire.  This will avoid another situation where a Dave Brandon type hires his own guy who he can control.

I want to throw up when I sit here and watch all of these players that were so highly touted get romped on week after week

There's almost a 0% chance that this is anything other than coaching development.  Our former coach (i'm not trying to start a "thing" here) has taken 2 and 3 star talent, once again, to be playmakers that are on national highlight reels

our current coach takes blue chips and turns them into people who probably should have went to the NFL but are now scrubs who threw away their entire college football career by signing up with this fucking joke of a HC.

Michigan football needs to hire Jim Harbaugh or another top tier coach if Jim turns us down publicly. Otherwise, no PSD money and no season ticket renewals.

Sincerely,
Thousands of fans who are tired of getting ripped off

It would satisfy those of us that know it's going to happen anyway and we don't have to question it and wait for it.  But it's really a moot point now.  Firing Hoke now will only force the media to start asking Harbaugh and Miles questions which we don't need.

Whether Hoke is on the sidelines next week or not, the outcome will be the same a pretty embarassing loss.  What does Hoke actually bring to the game?  Nuss and GM run the O and D.  Hoke stands on the sidelines and claps.  Having him there will get Spielman to attempt to wax poetic about what Michigan used to be and what they should be.

As much as I have railed against Hoke all season and screamed through text for him to be fired, I just want to say, thanks for trying and never throwing anyone else under the bus.  And thanks for losing with enough class to not embarass the university by blaming others.

Brady, please go quietly and after the OSU game, accept responsibility for not being a good enough coach for this university and this program and tell us that your grateful for the opportunity and walk away quietly.

M should look no further than the Ohio sideline next week for its next head coach.    M needs a coach who can get players to perform at the highest level possible.   Ed Warriner is a guy who can get a team to a higher level.  Last guy we took a chance on from Ohio seemed to do pretty well from what I recall.

Was anyone actually surprised by today's outcome? If so, you haven't been paying attention. This was predictable, after week 2. Hackett will do the right thing, and fire Hokes rear after next week. If you don't understand why it's the right thing to do, then you may have attended Michigan, but you don't understand Michigan. We will get destroyed by Ohio, then Brady will ride off into the sunset.

Say whatever you want, but that's not something one human being should ever do to another. I know, the world is a cruel place, Hoke gets a gazillion dollars, etc. But this is one of a very few weeks during a year when it is absolutely inexcusable to show someone the door, and probably the only way I would feel sympathy for Hoke.

Don't make me feel sympathy for him. Please.

I hate to think this way, but I am kind of expecting us to f*** up this coaching thing again.  I haven't seen anything in the past 7 years that makes me think the machine is well-oiled.  Nothing.  We're seeing too many examples of discombobulation in handling too many different things that have actually reached the public.  I fear what the organization is like on the inside.  In all truthfulness, it has a Detroit Lions organization sort of feel to it.

I think Coach Hoke should announce this week that he's resigning. He should still coach the OSU game, because who else would do it, and maybe his resignation will even inspire the players who supposedly love him so much to execute.
