That pass was not only high…

That pass was not only high but behind Perry. Unless Perry has longer arms and/or is taller, there is no way he was catching that.

I am sick of this coaching…

I am sick of this coaching. That was a shit show. I was the first person to back Harbaugh before this game. What was that 4-minute drill with being down 2 touchdowns. We took way to long and had no urgency.

Harbaugh needs to be fired…

Harbaugh needs to be fired for taking out the quarterback that is making plays.

I don't know how much more…

I don't know how much more of Michigan playing like garbage I can take watching. How does Harbaugh have a job if Michigan cannot prepare for big games.

both coming off as cocky

I agree with this observation. I also would like to add that they both seemed to really be lacking confidence. Speight would complain about fans comments about him and then say it didn't really bother him. However, his nonverbal body language and play said the exact opposite. Okorn just seemed to think he was so much better than Speight, but when he started to make mistakes, things just continued to get worse.

I did love watching Harbaugh and Brown. They both have that drive and killer instinct that made me want to play hard for them. I feel like that is what has been missing in a quarterback. Someone that has that confidence and killer instinct. Someone that can lead the team just like the coaches as well as a few of the defensive players.

This team

This game has been truly painful to watch. This team had no will or drive to win. The defense came in with drive and passion, but the offense looked like garbage. The defense matched the offense with lack of passion during the third quarter and imploded. I do not like the character of this team. I don't know if it is the coaches fault for poor coaching and play calling or if it is their fault for recruiting kids that do not have the drive. Losing to South Carolina is a new low for this coaching staff.

I understand Harbaugh's concern with Peters after watching him these last few games. I was certainly on the Peters bandwagon. But if you watch his body language, it is lousy and he does not exude confidence or drive to win. I think that is his issue. It is not his talent. He takes himself out of the game with his poor thinking. This also permeated throughout our team today.

that pathetic call

I wonder if it was a big 10 official that made that horrific call. It would make sense.

Sorry, it created a double post.

Sorry, it made a double post.

MSU

I could be wearing my Michigan goggles, but I do not fear Michigan State next year. I truly believe they got lucky this year against us. As soon as I saw we were expecting a storm, I had a very bad feeling about that game. Okorn is Okorn, and we just had everything going against us that game. Sure, Michigan State took advantage of the bad weather and played smart and tough. I strongly believe if we had a competent quarterback we would have beaten Michigan State if we had halfway decent weather that game.

You are right that we don't know that yet.

However, part of me feels the same way as the previous poster. With that said, I say it does not do good to dwell on the past, and it would be best to hope things turn out great for the future.

On the other hand, even after the game when Peters was interviewed, it seemed to me that you could see the youth on Peters expression when talking to the reporter. There appeared to be a lack of confidence that you normally don't see with a seasoned player that has been established as a good to a great quarterback when Peters answered questions.

I could be reading into Peters expression when he spoke to the reporter. Though, this makes me wonder if Harbaugh saw some of the same inconsistencies with Peters affect and appeared leadership ability compared to his playing ability and wanted to remain on the cautious side of things and stick with the experienced player. Harbaugh could have wanted to protect Peters and wait for the perfect opportunity to provide the most successful environment; but with the way Okorn was playing, he had no choice, but to put Peters in.

Herbstreit

I used to like Herbstreit, but he has been pretty awful lately. I could not stand him during the Michigan verse Michigan State game. A quarter into that game, I had to mute the TV. I also hated how biased ABC was during that game. Whenever they showed the rivalry clips of previous games, every game was games where Michigan State beat us at the end. No clips showed Michigan winning.

Freshman Mistakes

I can see Speights game improved too. I think the problem that occurred yesterday had a lot to do with a few errant throws by Speight and then freshman dropping/not making catches at important times. With the dropped balls it is difficult for Speight to develop consistency and get into a groove. Also, I was concerned with the play calling at times. It was getting a little to predictable at times. Overall, I feel these are all correctable, at least I hope!

osu

I hate to say it, but OSU will be ranked number 2 next week. Therefore, even if Penn State goes to the Big championship and OSU wins out, I highly doubt they drop a 1 loss  OSU team that is ranked 2 out of the top 4 teams in the playoff. I could see a possibility that a two loss big ten champ and a one loss OSU team in the 4 team playoff. We need to just win out and let this not be a factor.

i don't blame the coaches 100% on this one

I felt nervous about this game from the start just because it is a night game and these are young people. Our quarterback sucked bad tonight. He happened to have one of his worst throwing games of the season. If he makes those deep throws, this isn't even a game and Iowa gives up. They had everything go their way. With the shitty refs and the bad quarterback play. That gave Iowa just enough confidence to pull it out. I hope we can get our heads out of our asses for the next few games. We can be a really great team if we get out of our own way. I do wish Jim would have pulled Speight. He just wasn't himself tonight. Sucks.

lol

My bad. touche.

what happened to Kirk being a more neutral analyst.

He used to be neutral, but really in the past couple years he has been rediculous. First, earlier in the week, he was saying how great Wisconsin was and how we haven't proven anything. Then, just now saying Ohio State is head and shoulders over everyone else and not giving us credit. I think our defense is the real deal. We have beaten two really solid football teams (Colorado and Wisconsin). I may just be a delusional Michigan fan, but I don't see anything yet that says we are aren't a top 4 team with our defense. Our offense will get better.

Millan

You would think the Big 10 network would have announcers that are pro Big 10, but he sucks.

IMG radio feed

Thank you! This is much better.

our cournerbacks

Is our cornerbacks this bad?

chesson

Is Chesson out of the game? I Speight keeps throwing to Darboh.

I think O'Korn looked pretty good

The only thing that made me a little nervous was where he ran out of the pocket so much. I think he looked like he had a great arm. I loved his deep pass for a completion on the sideline. It is difficult to say if him running out of the pocket so much was due to the Offensive Line. I think it is too early to say who looked best based on the spring game. It was very nice seeing Speight look competent though. I liked that very much.

That was the first thing that came to my mind.

I couldn't help but think that this is something Hoke would have done. Also, after reading Elliott's response, I thought to myself, Harbaugh will hopefully use his words as extra motivation in preparing for the game this year.

Honest question

I know we still need to wait for Johnson to sign for his grade situation to get worked out. Does anyone know why Gary hasn't signed yet?

Wow the comments by Sparty fans are rediculous after the article

I understand people debating an issue and having a different stance than others. However, the people responding hate against Jim Harbaugh are stating flat out lies.

Jim Harbaugh didn't rescind anyone's offer because he found someone better. He did it because they didn't continue to meet the expectations that were given to the student athelete when the offer was presented.

I could understand people debating the fact that they don't agree an offer should ever be pulled once given. That would be a personal judgement call.

I personally feel Jim is doing the best thing for a big college in order to be competitive. This isn't a college scholarship for grades. It is for football.

There is disputing the last penalty

The penalty on Burflict was obvious, where he almost took the other guy's head off. The last pentalty was extremely questionable. Not to mention throughout the game there were lopsided calls against the Bengals that were rediculous at the worst times. How the Steelers didn't get called for a targeting call where the Bengals guy fumbled the ball because his head was almost taken is beyond my understanding. Not to mention, the great hit that was called a personal foul on the Bengals defensive back where he led with his shoulder and hit the guy in the chest. Both those calls were terrible and cost points. The Bengals did screw that game up though at the end.

I love his tape

This kid looks good! I love how he makes plays in his highlight tape. He makes tough catches, blocks well, and he makes athletic moves once he has the ball in his hands. He could be useful on kick returns and/or punt returns.

I was thinking the same.

I thought Isaac looked a lot better than Smith did this last game. Smith does a good job at getting the tough yards and making it difficult to tackle him. However, Smith always seems to run into the blockers and rarely finds the holes.

Not bad for having a quarterback throw 2 interceptions

The score isn't bad for not having a good quarterback.

Get Rudock off the field!

Man I thought this guy was supposed to be good? He is over throwing open men, and two interceptions both bad plays.

I don't agree.

I think they are new to this system, and Utah is stacking the box.

The white uniforms look nice!

I don't mind the white uniforms at all. I think they look sharp. I like the simplicity of them.

Wow on Wheatly's size

I wonder if the staff planned on him gaining so much weight. It seems like 31lbs is an abnormal amount of weight for someone to gain in just a few months, especially for someone that was thought to be a tight end.

I like the size of the offensive line

Everyone is now 300+ on the offensive line except two people. What is surpising at that is Wheatly is as big as the two offensive linemen that aren't 300+.

Android?

Will the app be coming out for Android? I see it is made for I-tunes. =(

Maybe I am wearing my Michigan blinders ...

After listening to that interview, Harbaugh seemed to answer the questions like he would any interviewer. It appears to me that Harbaugh didn't want to respond with specifics to the questions about how he is coaching the team. Also, it seemed like Harbaugh felt that Cowherd was rediculous to assume that Harbaugh would use the interview to show how he would sell Michigan to recruits. In my opinion, It was more about the questions Cowherd asked.

Harbaugh seems to love to share generalities such as: how he enjoys building relationships with recruits, loves coaching, and loves the University of Michigan. I can't remember ever hearing Harbaugh discussing specifics with what he would say to recruits for recruiting or specifics for how he coaches the players, other than with enthuisiasm unknown to mankind. That interview was bad because of Cowherd.

If that is how you make like changing decisions...

I think you meant to say, "you probably are NOT suited for a Jim Harbaugh program."

I tend to think the one year scholarships are a better idea.

I may be of a different opinion than some people on here, but I feel it is a good idea to do one year scholarships, especially at schools like Michigan where there is so much scrutiny on high performance. So many fans complain about the team not meeting expectations, and sometimes kids just don't turn out to be as good as people thought.

The kids should be rewarded for their ability to play. If this was the norm, then there wouldn't need to be grey areas regarding unnecessary medicals. You would just discontinue the person's scholarship if they are not good enough to play. In this instance, the kid can go to a different college and be able to play if they are in fact good enough to play at a lower level.

We put such a big emphases on winning at the highest level and sometimes it is in fact coaching that needs changed. However, when coaching is not the cause, to have the ability to replace an athlete with another more suited for your level of play would be more beneficial.

Wide Recievers

I sure wish we would hear some good news about quality wide receivers being highly interested in our program. I feel like we are in such a down period with the quality of our receivers. Also, has anyone heard any news about possible wide receiver 5th year transfers? It seemed like there was talk going on about that possibility, but the talk stopped. Is there even any possible quality 5th year receiver seniors still looking to transfer?

Is Sansa Stark dead?

I am wondering if Sansa is dead? She jumped off that wall that was hundreds of feet tall. All the good characters have something bad happening. Also, I have had friends that read the book say that Arya became a bad ass. I loved that scene where she killed dude, but that was all we got =(. I hate how she became blind. This episode left so many cliff hangers.

I think everyone has to right to their opinion

I don't think it is really considerate to tell others that they are idiots because they don't share your opinion though. I am mixed about Lebron. I feel like he does some incredible things and then he misses shots he really shouldn't. You can say it is great defense all you want, but he was missing open shots and even missing quite a few free throws tonight. I never seen Michael Jordan do that, especially when it mattered in an NBA finals series. Lebron is a rare physical speciman and a great athelete. I just don't know what to think sometimes when watching him play. He is a pretty spectacular player though.

I was sad for the dragon.

I was feeling bad for the dragon getting the spears stuck in him. I am thinking if the dragons are going to be able to help their "momma" rule the kindoms, they will need armour built for them.

Loved It

That was a great episode! My heart was beating hard for the last 10 minutes. I kept thinking don't let Jon Snow die. I wonder if we will even see Bran this season?

Michigan friendly bars in Dayton

I am like the others that have posted about Dayton. I have not found any bars that are Michigan friendly. I typically call around to see what bar is willing to show the game on one of their televisions. I normally watch the games alone at home because I am too busy yelling at the television. I think it would be great if we could get a group of people who live here in Dayton to meet up and watch games together. The one thing I don't like about going to a bar to watch the games is the volume tends to be down on the Michigan games so you can't hear the broadcasters. I occasionally meet people who are Michigan fans while out and have noticed more lately now that Harbaugh is our coach, which has been a welcoming change.

I wish we could get an elite offensive skilled position player

It feels like it has been forever since we have had an elite offensive skilled player at wide receiver or runningback. I miss the days we had spectacular play from those two positions.

Jabrill Peppers

I would have loved to hear someone ask if they have tried Jabrill out on offense.

I like the brighter yellow too.

I don't mind if it is Nike or Addidas. I think the Henne and Denard football Jerseys both look really sharp. I think the Nike shirt shown at the beginning of the post looks too bland and boring. That is just my opinion though.

Wow I agree 100%

I just don't understand what a life long M fan means to some people. I live in Dayton, Ohio. If I had the opportunity to play for Michigan, there would be no decision. Also, he lived in Michigan his whole life and had the opportunity to not only be coached by Jim Harbaugh but also Tyronne Wheatley. This makes no sense to me. I don't care how good OSU is. Fandom makes no sense to me.

This announcer is an idiot

How is it great coverage when the defensive players are hanging on the receivers? I guess because they don't get called for pass interference that it is great coverage.

I hate living in Ohio

I hate living in Ohio and seeing all these positive posts from my friends. Not to mention, hearing all these positive comments from my parents. I should be happy for them, but I hate Ohio State.

I am not sure if this was thread worthy

I am hoping this game does not affect any chances we have of flipping Weber.
