Noon Games Open Thread
Didn't see a thread going so I figured I would get one going. There are a whole bunch of thoroughly mediocre games starting, but it's football so you are going to be watching anyway.
Personally, I'm mostly watching PSU and Akron. Akron looked good early, but sputtered at the goal line and derfed a chip shot field goal. PSU is not having much trouble now on offense.
Purdue, Wisky, Nebraska, Illinois, and Rutgers are also playing. All are playing awful teams.
I'm also interested in this Oklahoma game. I don't understand why they are ranked so high.

The Huskers sure run a crisp 2 minute drill don't they?

So assuming Nebraska pulls off the win, how far in the rankings will they fall? Im guessing atleast 4 spots.

Pathetic 'tackling' by McNeese costs them the game.

Abdullah wow. Playmaker. That should have been a tackle BEHIND the 1st down mark.

No block in the back? How does Nebraska keep finding ways to escape games like this.

Another Pelini miracle.

WOW - talk about refusing to be tackled. That's amazing.

A play that looked sure to be stopped short of a first down turns into a TD because of shoddy tackling and what looked like a block in the back that wasn't called. Wow.

where is the block in the back you guys are talking about?

Always like to look back at CROOTIN. Abdullah 3 star recruit, 17th ranked RB in his class. 5'9, 177 lbs coming out of HS.

Are their coaches stupid? How do you think you're going to get a touchdown in 12 seconds with that play call?
September 6th, 2014 at 3:25 PM ^
Thomas Rawls look decent today. Good for him. A kid that stuck it out when he could have been crushing MAC oppo his whole career.

It's also clear there was not much first to second week improvement for a lot of teams, including almost all BIG teams so far today.
Tonight should be interesting. No Guinness or Harp to be drank tonight, nothing Irish.
Go Blue!
