By the way, almost every college campus and professor are liberal/ democrats. If argue michigan was less conservative than places like Wisconsin/ or Austin.

Mlaw grad here as well.
I never saw that in any classroom from any professor.
In fact, one of the best professors there is pretty conservative.
That's not to say the professors aren't left leaning, they are. I never, however, had a single one that was dismissive of a viewpoint simply because it conflicted with their own.
Okay, scratch that. Every single professor was dimissive of any viewpoint that wasn't their own, but I don't believe their dismissal was based on anything other than their own ego.

The general student body was very like minded.
(I'm leaving out the portion of my reply that would probably constitute politics, for the record).

which click/ group you roll with.
It's possible that the entire footbal team and staff are super left wing and that Bosch is not, but that;s unlikely.
Like I said, there is a group on campus that for everything. If you have a (legal) interest in life, you will find like minded people at Michigan (I mean there are like 40,000 students).

aware he isn't fitting in, are they part of the problem or the solution? It sounds like they are spreading stories and looking at him as a nut instead of looking out for the good of the team. Maybe I'm reading too much into your story but I see nothing of any efforts to include him, but a lot of indications that you and others may not agree with his views.
I would hate to think there is still divisive cliques that you seem to be indicating and they aren't going to the coaches to help. Obviously I'm only going by what you stated here and it sounds ike you might have some knowledge.
Regardless, I hope he resolves whatever issues led to this and is able to return. I hope he has the support of his team.

The reasons are personal, varied and private, but a leave of absence requires a petition with dean's approval. So we know he has a good academic reason for taking time off, and it's expected he will return and be successful as a student. He'll be welcomed back.

Well thought out and even if its not the case here....you make some great points.
I have a buddy who's son went to Michigan (not an athlete) and he barely made it thru his first year before he left and went to a smaller and more comfotable (for him) college where he thrived.
He said it was hard to fit in at UM because he was not a part of the culture that Michigan is known for.
Regardless of what the reasons are for Mr. Bosch being gone...i hope things work out for him.
There is so much more to life than football.

It's good to see at least 99.9% of us have our heads and hearts in the right place here. I wish Bosch all the best in whatever he may be going through right now. Go Blue!

Write it out, so you get it out, and then DON'T POST IT.
I do it all the time. If I sent half the dumb-ass stuff I've thought, I'd be in La Paz.

As dumb as the posts that I actually end up posting are, boy oh boy, you should see the ones I don't post.

Great drinks, tasty food, good cigars and hot women, especially when they wear their cute lil bowler hats.

I don't know what's happing with Kyle, but I will tell you UM can be difficult. I almost transferred, I mean I was sure it was the right thing to do. In the end I stayed and am so glad.
I'm not saying this is happening to Bosch, but like someone said above, UM is a challenging place to be. This is not patty cake school.
