Can't believe they changed one of the best lines in the whole series.
I'm guessing you wouldn't want us to go so far as to say what the line should have been?
two words in the book. I personally think people are overreacting to it because they were looking forward to this scene. I wouldn't worry about spoilers really in this case, but I'm toeing the line here.
I just started reading Storm of Swords. It's little changes like that that make me excited to get to see the differences, so I'd personally like to discover it on my own.
I know I'm a book spoiler nazi, but I'll even admit it sounds totally inconsequential. Maybe you can say the line that was said in the show or the scene it was said in and if people want to look it up (this is the Internet afterall) they can?
I'm sure you will be able to find it if you are so inclined.
It's the last line of the episode. Martin's version is much better.
I think that's people overreacting to minor changes that carry across the same point as the books. But to each their own.
It's such a good line though. Partly because of things I won't discuss here, because actual spoilers.
understand the meaning, then it should be enough. Also, the show runners have done a GREAT job with leaving little nods to so many other details across the show. Who knows, maybe something they have planned for the show that didn't happen in the books relies on this change then. Let's be satisfied it was still an awesome scene.
There's an actual significant change to that scene that's plot related that's also confusing though. Which I'm curious to see how they handle.
It will certainly be interesting, but I have faith in how it all shakes out.

he has been in two of the greatest shows ever IMO (the Wire and GoT)
I really like this show, but for me the problem with this new season is that it feels like the plot has really slowed down after the last two seasons. It feels like nothing other than the purple wedding has been important this season.
Traditionally, truly batshit things only happen in the ninth episode (plus Joffrey).
how they split up books into seasons. They are basically using 2 full seasons of show to cover one book. I would expect the next two (already greenlit) seasons will be a bit faster paced.
Really? I have felt as if every episode has had a major development, with maybe the first episode beingthe exception (and that is to be expected):
1: Intro of Prince Oberyn, Daenarys marching on
2: Purple Wedding
3: Daenarys marching on Mereen & the Champion fight with Daario
4: Slave revolt of Mereen. Big reveal about the King of the White Walkers.
5: Petyr and Sansa arrive at the Vale, The Night's watch overtakes Craster's Keep.
6: Tyrion's trial
7: Oberyn offers to by Tyrion's champion, Someone (Brienne) learns that Arya is not dead, Petyr makes Lysa fly
know how to receive the episodes properly.
Last year, the book readers mentioned that the plot slows a bit as some of the storylines are based around the travels of certain main characters. I wasn't expecting much this season, so I'm pleasantly suprised at how enjoyable these episodes have been.
Unfortunate we have to wait 2 weeks for the next one. But at least there is plenty to talk about over the two week break.
How do you know Arya is nobility? She has manners.
She said, "Thank you," before stabbing Whatshisname in the heart.
Then: "You're learning." LOL
That would be Rorge. The first guy was "Biter", accordingly.
It'll be interesting to see if Sansa tells the truth about Petyr murdering Lysa, as they hint at in the trailer.
They made quite the point tonight of when you're King/Lord/whatevs you can make anyone fly that you like. If Robyn is now Lord of the Vale and he's a dimwitted little child, he's probably in the mood to make people fly - and why not the girl that just slapped him? Petyr might be the only one that can protect Sansa in that case.
Lysa out the window is one of the top five scenes of the series so far!
I really dig the drama and the ability of actors to play off of one another..
And I can't wait for Oberyn vs. the Mountain!
The only subtle complaint I have is the Brienne and Pod arc; I wonder where it is going and just what exactly we are to get out of it.

I see it as this season's Twins. I could be wrong.
Brienne & Pod and the Hound & Arya are now all heading to the Vale where Sansa is. However, tonight's developments will have huge ramifications.
How does Brienne protect the Stark girls if she can't get them to Lysa's safety?
Off of that, what happens when both pairs hear of Lysa's death? Theoretically, the Hound will not want to go to the Vale anymore, not knowing that Sansa is there. Where would he take Arya then? Or maybe they don't hear. Maybe Arya bails on the Hound and heads to the Wall?

Hey I have shit in my pants from this episode *and* softball. Your post wouldn't be off base in either one.
There was something missing from the scene where Littlefinger shoves Lysa out the moon door, aside from changing the line. Being as vague as possible, the plot is going to have to work itself out differently on the show than it did in the book following Lysa's death.
Is it me, or is Daario and the Mountain played by different actors now?
Not you, they did change both actors. I believe there have actually been 3 actors who have played the mountain now. They have a history of casting one actor in the beginning when the character doesn't have a large role and then changing actors once the character becomes a bigger part.
Here's a list I googled of the actors who have changed:

Thank you for the link. Very informative.
