Riiiiiiiiight
November 9th, 2023 at 12:26 AM ^
Of course he's lying, he promised to hang 100 on us.
Well, maybe that's not a lie, he'll get there someday, if he's around for it.
November 8th, 2023 at 8:38 PM ^
Ohio State's "investigation" shows he did nothing wrong.
November 8th, 2023 at 8:39 PM ^
He's thrown stones, now prepare the fucking trebuchet!
November 8th, 2023 at 9:57 PM ^
+1 for the "Age of Empires" reference.
November 8th, 2023 at 10:35 PM ^
Sweet. Way better than the typical pumpkin launcher.
November 8th, 2023 at 11:11 PM ^
Unpimping your ride. I loved those VW ads
November 9th, 2023 at 1:30 PM ^
Great use of trebuchet, I once delivered some firewood to a guy that had one in his yard. Weird but awesome at the same time
November 8th, 2023 at 8:40 PM ^
Lyin' Ryan.
November 8th, 2023 at 8:40 PM ^
well well well ... this should be interesting.
November 9th, 2023 at 12:53 AM ^
It’s a brazen approach, anyway. If you’re going to go with the Shaggy Defense, you’d better either be telling the truth or be absolutely sure you’ve covered your tracks. It sounds like Michigan has text message logs, so unless this is a really elaborate dark op, it seems that Day is really going out on a limb here, and Michigan’s got the saw.
It’s also weird because OSU is the team with the best motive to provide Purdue with the signs — they thought a Michigan loss would help them get into the CFP. If it were somebody else — say, Staee — it’d just be because their entire school mantra is “a Michigan loss is better than a MSU victory.”
If he’s lying — and I know we’re all assuming that, but I’m trying to give him the benefit of the doubt because it seems lying would be extremely stupid — he’s not only going to look like a giant hypocrite, he may work his way out of a job. Being caught in a lie wouldn’t be as embarrassing as losing to Michigan by an average of 18.5 points per game the last two years, but it might end up being the straw that breaks the camel’s back, particularly if Michigan gets its third in a row as we all expect.
November 9th, 2023 at 8:38 AM ^
Sidebar: Around 2001 or 2002 there was an awesome Wonder Woman rap/re-mix that I thought was done by Shaggy, but haven't been able to find it since. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
As far as Day goes I agree that it seems like an unforced error unless he's 100% sure. Here's my tinfoil hat conspiracy theory: OSU wants to bring Urban Meyer back and they're setting Day up. They fire Day for this and say that Michigan should do the same with Harbaugh. There is no "known" connection between Day and the PI firm because it is the Ohio State [deep state] working for Urban.
November 8th, 2023 at 8:40 PM ^
Nothing to see here, folks
November 8th, 2023 at 8:43 PM ^
also, -1 for linking to 11w - that place is delusional
November 8th, 2023 at 8:56 PM ^
Ughhh. I went there just now. Lucky to get out alive with some brains left. Those creatures are sub-human. Beating them is a moral imperative.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:10 PM ^
They must not reproduce.
Ha! Who am I kidding? They'll never reproduce.
Natural selection at work.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:23 PM ^
That would be sexual selection.
November 9th, 2023 at 8:39 AM ^
Isn't that a Barry White song?
November 8th, 2023 at 11:17 PM ^
There's millions of them. They're reproducing somehow.
November 8th, 2023 at 11:39 PM ^
Never saw Idiocracy?
November 8th, 2023 at 9:12 PM ^
Some of them think Michigan deserves the death penalty over this. Not joking.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:18 PM ^
Of course they do, because that will erase the last two games for them. When they win, it's earned. When we win, it's because we cheated.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:53 PM ^
When they win, it's because they illegally acquired players via a free tattoo compensation scheme and harbored a serial domestic abuser. When we win, it's because we're tougher and better coached than them. They just won't admit these things.

If you haven't looked at the rules and think Ryan Day is telling the truth, the optics on the CS stuff is bad. From OSU's perspective (not mine):
1. Sign stealing is cheating. If someone steals signs they win the game. Michigan stole two National Championships from OSU with this cheating. (Never mind that OSU still got in last year and lost. Had they played TCU they would have easily won it all.) There are photos of CS talking to Jim Harbaugh holding a laminated sheet of opposing teams' signs. Clear undeniable evidence of sign stealing.
2. Michigan organized a vast network of known friends and trusted agents to steal signs illegally scouting in person which, in their minds, is on top of the crime of sign stealing. There are venmo receipts and other schools have verified the purchases. This is undeniable proof from multiple sources of sign stealing and in-person scouting. Michigan is caught dead to rights.
3. Harbaugh is a control freak and knows every detail of everything going on at Michigan and there is no way he doesn't know about this. The CMU pics are evidence that Harbaugh asked Jim M to let CS spy in person. Undeniable photographic evidence.
4. Michigan thinks they are morally superior (we are.) OSU hates us for that. They've had to fire Woody Hayes for hitting a player(what about Juwan?), Tressel for tattoos(who wrote two books on ethics) and Urban Meyer of Zach Smith (who they brought back to teach a class on ethics even though they fired him themselves for ethics violations.) If OSU has to fire coaches for small things which are totally unrelated to the actual game of football, then Michigan should have to fire Harbaugh for cheating at football. (See #1)
5. Michigan is totally unrepentant and thinks they're smart with all of their reading and lawyerin'.
6. Ohio State would never steal signs even though they have someone on staff to steal signs.
7. OSU would never share signs with another team and Ryan Day said so. Michigan is engaging in fake whataboutism. There should be additional penalties for that.
______________
If the tables were reversed I'd be filled with the same righteous indignation. It looks really bad if you ignore that:
A. Sign stealing is legal.
B. Everyone does it.
C. Connor Stalions is an insane workaholic with a 600 page manifesto and Harbaugh didn't actually know.
_______________
With Tressel's scandal he got busted for lying about it. Had he admitted it and punished his players immediately he would have been fine. The funny thing about that scandal is that supposedly, everyone pays their superstar players in elaborate untraceable ways. Terrell Pryor totally got paid to go to OSU over Michigan and it never came out. He got busted for something insignificant, but it looked bad. The important thing is the image of propriety and not propriety itself and so it became an issue. That's where we're in trouble. For the 99.9% of people who don't read the rules it looks like Michigan is cheating.
I'm glad we're fighting back.
November 8th, 2023 at 10:50 PM ^
I'd just like to repeat an old Don Brown favorite of mine:
"We solve our problems with aggression"
And violence, I'd add.....for that came in a couple weeks. Make them want to give up football
November 8th, 2023 at 10:07 PM ^
That place is strange. I saw some thing where they were comparing our score against East Carolina to theirs against Indiana the opening weekend. Those are two different opponents, no? That place could make for a (non) interesting thesis.
November 9th, 2023 at 4:25 AM ^
I can’t imagine how many employers have been effected by the sick day call ins over this scandal. Seems that most set by their computers hitting refresh all day long waiting for the next drip. What Roman numeral are they up to now?
November 8th, 2023 at 8:46 PM ^
What a wuss. The dam is gonna break on poor Ryan. I am sure HE did not share. Just his staff. Bye-Bye anyway in 2 weeks.
November 8th, 2023 at 8:46 PM ^
just for men
November 8th, 2023 at 8:51 PM ^
He's not only the sign stealing president, he's also a client.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:51 PM ^
But he is not one.
November 8th, 2023 at 8:47 PM ^
Ryan Day probably did not PERSONALLY do that, I can believe that. But someone who worked for him for sure did. And I'm guessing Michigan has a cell phone number at a minimum, and probably a name to go with it.
November 8th, 2023 at 8:50 PM ^
People are saying he should have known.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:15 PM ^
Sounds like a lack of institutional control.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:31 PM ^
How could he not know? I declare him a lying cheater. End of investigation.
November 8th, 2023 at 8:57 PM ^
He makes a much stronger claim, that “nobody here did any of that” and even that he had “compliance” look into it.
That’s almost certainly false, straight up.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:05 PM ^
So "Compliance" is the name of the PI firm?
November 8th, 2023 at 9:06 PM ^
Just playing along with this, why did he need to have compliance look into it? The context seems important there.
November 8th, 2023 at 11:33 PM ^
If he didn't tell them to look, they might have accidentally found something before they cleared him.
November 8th, 2023 at 9:08 PM ^
You can't spell compliance without liance, and Ryan Day puts the lie in liance.
November 8th, 2023 at 10:37 PM ^
Only one bad half of football..
November 8th, 2023 at 9:01 PM ^
Yep and that name is Brent Zdebski who purged his venmo account the day after Connors was uncovered.
November 8th, 2023 at 11:37 PM ^
I'm sure the W&C lawyers can get that info from Venmo. It's never truly gone.
November 8th, 2023 at 8:47 PM ^
If an Ohio State staffer shared them and Day has no knowledge of that staffer's actions, then its all good right?
Right???
November 8th, 2023 at 9:07 PM ^
Yup.
Same benefit of the doubt they gave to Harbaugh.
Oh, wait . . .
