USC you had one job
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:53 AM ^
There’s no defending what happened tonight,
Pun not intended?
December 3rd, 2022 at 7:03 AM ^
Was what we saw tonight ever not the case while Riley was at Oklahoma? This guy is a known quantity, and his defenses always look like this.
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:20 AM ^
I didn't want to see Riley rewarded for what he did. Leaving a program is fine. Caving your old program is on the way out is bullshit.
December 2nd, 2022 at 11:57 PM ^
Stupid USC. OSU is going to be sending muffin baskets to you for a year.
Now if TCU loses tomorrow, both Alabama and OSU will get in and the media will climax all at once.
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:05 AM ^
OSU is going to get blown out 38-0 and be crying while they flog themselves to the 2016 game. They don't have what it takes to beat this Georgia team.
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:31 AM ^
That's absurd. Too much confidence in Georgia. Not the same team as last year.
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:34 AM ^
If we lose or TCU loses, we’ll be playing OSU. A rematch in the semis without Corum doesn’t make me feel great.
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:44 AM ^
I don't think it is going to happen but fuck OSU. 4 weeks to make Stokes into another BC. They will do it. Watch. Have some faith in our coaches.
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:05 AM ^
To be quite honest, the last thing I wanted was for either OSU or Alabama to get in. With the beating they've taken by everyone this year in the media and by their fans, they will definitely - one or both - come in with a chip on their shoulders
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:35 AM ^
Osu had a a chip on their shoulder that was allowed to grow for a whole year. That chip was a full blown fucking tree by last saturday... a lot of good it did them.
December 2nd, 2022 at 11:58 PM ^
I never root for the big ten just Michigan. Trojans failed tonight
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:01 AM ^
Trojans failed tonight
That's what she said.
We're still doing that joke, right?
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:08 AM ^
Never not funny.
December 2nd, 2022 at 11:58 PM ^
Dammit.
Any chance the committee jumps 'Bama over OSU? Where is that SEC bias when you need it?
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:06 AM ^
Seems like the chance is non-zero. But neither team played today so...it'd be weird.
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:14 AM ^
The more I think about it, the more it makes sense. 'Bama had two one-point road losses to top 10 teams, both on the final play of the game. OSU had their shit force fed to them at home (once again 1VaBlue1, thanks for this expression). If I'm the committee and I'm already inclined to lick the SEC's balls, I would jump 'Bama over OSU.
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:30 AM ^
Bama also won close games against a let’s-face-it very average Texas team and a slightly above average Mississippi team. M or GA beats this Bama team by 2+ scores.
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:42 AM ^
I feel like the committee is more likely to look past a team's close road losses to quality opponents than to punish a team for close wins over mediocre opponents, especially for their SEC darlings.
December 3rd, 2022 at 7:20 AM ^
Okay but 2 losses is more than 1. Point is that the committee had a chance to rank Bama #5 and decided not to. Neither team’s resume can meaningfully change today.
December 3rd, 2022 at 10:21 AM ^
True.
December 3rd, 2022 at 7:19 AM ^
Does Gary Danielson get a vote?
December 2nd, 2022 at 11:59 PM ^
Penn State - Utah Rose Bowl? I'd watch that.
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:08 AM ^
Go Utes!
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:29 AM ^
I think Utah would probably spank that ass.
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:29 AM ^
I feel for Clifford. That Utah D can hit
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:00 AM ^
If we somehow beat OSU for a NC I will get a tattoo with the score on it!
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:05 AM ^
I 2nd this lol
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:07 AM ^
I've never even considered a tattoo but yeah... that one might be worth it.
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:16 AM ^
Same here. AND with Harbaugh’s face from “Saved by the Bell”. 100% serious
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:17 AM ^
Just texted an OSU buddy of mine. Thought he'd be happy, but his response to me was that nothing would make him less happy than losing to Michigan twice in one season, so no he's not happy.
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:29 AM ^
I thought about that. Neither fan base really wants this, probably. OSU fans I think were mostly accepting they did not get the job done to make the CFP before.
The risk-reward here for both sides is not good.
However, the reward is quite phenomenal. So...we better be ready.
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:31 AM ^
You're just kidding yourself if you think that team won't be very dangerous. They have mega talent just lack the coaching. They've had a week or so to listen to everyone say how they suck.
December 3rd, 2022 at 1:01 AM ^
You are pathetic. You haven't posted since the morning of The Game. Your team (OSU) lost and you have been licking your wounds since then with zero posts to this board. Weird since you posted several times a day for weeks leading up to The Game and most posts subtly propped up the OSU defense. If you were a UM fan then you have been conspicuously quiet after our biggest win in 22 years. It's not until USC loses that you become interested in posting here again and that just so happens to coincide with OSU springing to life for a CFP berth. Obvious Buckeye troll.
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:53 PM ^
I’m in!
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:00 AM ^
I didn't watch the game because I was out with some friends, but looking at the box score, it basically looks like Utah did to USC what we did to OSU, down to the close first half and blowout second half with explosive plays.
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:01 AM ^
Even though we embarrassed osu, usc is terrible and has no business being in the playoff. Osu gets rewarded with a game against Georgia in Atlanta - so don’t envy those soft fools.
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:45 AM ^
In a more perfect world, there would only be a playoff among the teams with a legitimate claim or reason to be in a championship: one year that might be two teams, this year three...another five or six, or none.
But as it is we have an arbitrarily set number of four teams in the playoff, so in any given year we are bound to be disappointed with who is [in/ex]cluded.
December 3rd, 2022 at 1:58 AM ^
With a month for GA to prepare…good luck with that ohio
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:01 AM ^
They got smoked
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:02 AM ^
The universe will do anything to get Alabama in the playoffs. TCU will lose without a doubt. Call it chaos, but we know exactly who is getting in. OSU and Bama. Fucking fucking fuck.
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:10 AM ^
I have never been more sure of ANYTHING. TCU will lose.
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:30 AM ^
TCU will absolutely shit the bed. And the fact that everyone is saying they'll absolutely shit the bed means that they'll win by 30, of course.
December 3rd, 2022 at 9:43 AM ^
I’m not a TCU expert, but they’ve been proving the doubters wrong all year, including against this KSU team earlier in the season. Maybe ‘cause they’re favored this time you think they’ll lose? Ha!
Game’s in Arlington, it’s basically a home game for them; they’re on a mission (for Texas Christian, so I guess we can tack on “from Gahd”); and KSU QB is Adrian “love ya, but you’re gonna choke—again” Martinez.
Bring on the HypnoToads in the semis.
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:03 AM ^
Bring back the BCS
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:10 AM ^
Our timing is terrible.
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:03 AM ^
Don't care if OSU gets in, doesn't mean much to me if it brings some extra shine to the conference (it doesn't, they've been in enough it's not really something to impress anyone).
If everyone else holds serve, I would love to see OSU smashed by UGA or else if they somehow win, that we destroy them again to win it all. In fact, I'd prefer to see them again than UGA... wouldn't we all?
Also it was honestly great to see USC pummeled in front of the entire cfb watching audience. I wanted them to win, but watching them fold was very pleasing to me
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:11 AM ^
Extra shine to the conference? USC is a Big Ten team.
December 3rd, 2022 at 12:18 AM ^
I'm not claiming them yet. Outside in November Purdue might have taken them this year. It's a stretch, but I could see it.
