I feel bad for Zach Carpenter. Tough situation with his position group right now.
October 9th, 2022 at 1:26 PM ^
Why? F that guy.
October 9th, 2022 at 1:30 PM ^
Just because I thought it was a family related move and then he fell into a tough situation with his position group. Plus, missing out on all of the success last year at Michigan. I guess I could be wrong.
October 9th, 2022 at 1:37 PM ^
That's what I thought, too. His mom was ill and he wanted to be closer to home. Maybe there was more to the story that I hadn't heard about or don't remember.
October 9th, 2022 at 6:49 PM ^
Carpenter played well on Saturday and looked in good shape. He was always in the two deep with Michigan and played both guard and center as I recall.
I noticed Jack Stewart at the UConn game, he never saw the field and looked to have a lot of bad weight.
October 9th, 2022 at 1:33 PM ^
Um, maybe because compassion is a normal feeling?
October 9th, 2022 at 2:43 PM ^
But, only for compassionate people.
October 9th, 2022 at 4:09 PM ^
Compassion feels so rare nowadays. So many people like to see others in misery.
October 9th, 2022 at 7:06 PM ^
Compassion? Its 2022, should I be familiar with such a word? Never seen it used on Twitter.
October 10th, 2022 at 10:27 PM ^
No. But a "fuck you" to you? Absolutely.
October 9th, 2022 at 1:27 PM ^
At least he's closer to home?
October 9th, 2022 at 1:28 PM ^
I am sure I don’t have all of the facts, but didn’t he out-of-nowhere choose to leave our situation where he was basically slotted as the starting center to the point where we had to start a walk on, who ended up being very good for us, and then we had to bring in a transfer? Dude would be starting right now on our team.
October 9th, 2022 at 1:54 PM ^
His mom got cancer
October 9th, 2022 at 2:04 PM ^
Any reasonable person going to feel compassionate about that. Family first Zach Carpenter.
October 9th, 2022 at 2:56 PM ^
Well, those are indeed facts I was unaware of.
October 9th, 2022 at 1:25 PM ^
Meanwhile in E. Lansing
Please don't change anything, Mel.
October 9th, 2022 at 1:33 PM ^
Dear Mel,
I agree with you. The staff is awesome. Don't change a thing.

Perhaps, do this a la Dantonio:
October 9th, 2022 at 1:40 PM ^
Mel is selling hope, while Harbaugh is selling results.
October 9th, 2022 at 1:48 PM ^
Nice use of a Dantonio quote. Two thumbs up, but, alas, only one point.
October 9th, 2022 at 1:53 PM ^
If you really like those quotes from Dee'Antonio, how about "Where's the threat"!
October 9th, 2022 at 3:20 PM ^
What is Drew Dileo up to these days anyway?
October 9th, 2022 at 5:41 PM ^
Where'd all those sparties go?
October 9th, 2022 at 2:22 PM ^
Logged in just to give you a thumbs up on this quote. Alas, I have only thumb to give.
October 9th, 2022 at 1:54 PM ^
Clearly, without viewing the game tape, one could never know that this MSU team might be slightly deficient in a few areas.
October 9th, 2022 at 2:00 PM ^
What's he going to do, fire his horseshit DB coach?
October 9th, 2022 at 2:06 PM ^
That guy has a $95 million dollar guaranteed contract.

True definition of,"keep chopping!" Same suspects and characters!
October 9th, 2022 at 5:49 PM ^
Wow, if you add “Next question” + a scowl that could be a direct Dantonio quote.
October 9th, 2022 at 1:34 PM ^
Was he fired or reassigned?
If you hired them, it makes sense to support and develop them.
Unless they have become a cancer or are hurting recruiting, I don't see the benefit. If I have a qualified analyst on the staff, I might announce a coaching rotation for balance and development. What, pray tell, were you doing with your OL coach the last two months that would lead to such a decision today?
October 9th, 2022 at 2:00 PM ^
Unfortunately in many organizations I think the answer is, "looking for a scapegoat."
October 9th, 2022 at 2:24 PM ^
This is the answer. Gotta show that you’re making changes just for the sake of change. Unfortunately, that means coaches get sacked because you can’t fire the players…or can you?
October 9th, 2022 at 2:57 PM ^
You just made Coach Saban chuckle.
October 9th, 2022 at 2:26 PM ^
If you hired them, it makes sense to support and develop them.
Not necessarily. If I'm the head coach and the OL isn't my area of expertise, I may not be able to develop the guy any more than he is. In that case I'm better off trying to hire a superior coach.
October 9th, 2022 at 2:43 PM ^
I think it was one of these situations. Take your pic.
October 9th, 2022 at 2:55 PM ^
Crean must have had too many Red Bulls, because he's got "wings".
October 9th, 2022 at 4:11 PM ^
I think it's often going to be an awkward situation when you demote a coach and keep him around the team.
October 9th, 2022 at 2:35 PM ^
The Michigan difference!!!!!
October 9th, 2022 at 2:37 PM ^
this DLine group are "Coach Killers"...
for the other team :) Love this group - just as amazing to watch as Hutch and Ojabo were last year
October 9th, 2022 at 3:19 PM ^
I assumed they just didnt have an O-line coach
October 9th, 2022 at 3:56 PM ^
See what happens when you assume… it becomes reality.
Use your powers responsibly…
October 9th, 2022 at 4:16 PM ^
Damn, sucks for that guy.
