I only saw him on the stretcher. Did he get hit?
October 8th, 2022 at 1:19 PM ^
Twitter speculation is he had a seizure, which would make sense with how he was strapped down to the stretcher. But I haven't seen it confirmed anywhere.

They always strap patients to stretchers. Imagine the lawsuit if someone fell off.
Probably fainted. People keep saying seizure; a first seizure at his age would be very concerning.

Update: per Rob Stone on Fox's halftime, he did have a seizure.

Never good having a seizure… hope it’s not an underlying issue, maybe dehydration?
October 8th, 2022 at 1:06 PM ^
Dehydration can make you look like you’re having a seizure when you faint. Hopefully that’s all this is.
October 8th, 2022 at 1:05 PM ^
i guess the bright side is that if you’re gonna faint/have a seizure, a sideline at a major college football game is probably a pretty good place to do it.
maybe not for everyone else, but you’re gonna get medical attention pretty quickly.

As long as its not West Lafayette. Lets hope Bloomington has semi-modern medical facilities.
October 8th, 2022 at 1:10 PM ^
Edit [Redacted]
that was bad and I feel bad
October 8th, 2022 at 1:13 PM ^
Not too soon, just not very clever.
October 8th, 2022 at 2:28 PM ^
Nope, not too soon. Too insensitive. Wow.
I don't neg often, but you got one.
October 8th, 2022 at 3:56 PM ^
Thank goodness we weren't in West Lafayette.
October 8th, 2022 at 1:14 PM ^
Definitely praying.
I didn’t like that it looked like he needed help with his left side. The med crew was holding his arm on his chest and the leg looked pretty limp with the foot turned out.
Certainly hope I’m over reacting but will be ecstatic to see or hear he is well.

I Heart Hart! Best wishes for quick recovery!

Refs losing control of this game

Real classy, bro

Absolutely.
October 8th, 2022 at 1:34 PM ^
Amen.

hipaa regulations going to make it difficult to learn updates?
October 8th, 2022 at 1:51 PM ^
I don’t think we have to worry about HIPAA here unless someone has access to his medical record and is posting updates.
October 8th, 2022 at 1:59 PM ^
HIPAA just means medical people treating him can't say what's going on with him. He/his family can still update the public, which I'm sure they will if he's doing ok
October 8th, 2022 at 1:55 PM ^
His health is far more important than the outcome of this game. Hope he recovers quickly
October 8th, 2022 at 2:00 PM ^
Get well Coach Hart!
October 8th, 2022 at 2:03 PM ^
Hoping Hart's issue is minor and he's back on the field next week.
October 8th, 2022 at 2:09 PM ^
We're all thinking of Coach Hart and that he makes a full recovery. He'd want his guys to show the world Hoosier daddy!!!
October 8th, 2022 at 2:11 PM ^
Good to hear he's alright.
October 8th, 2022 at 2:13 PM ^
Get well soon, Coach Hart.
October 8th, 2022 at 2:30 PM ^
That looked so scary. I hope it wasn't a big stroke. Mom's left side went to hell after hers, and there was something with his left side......
Prayers for everyone involved. Just terrible. :-(

Get well, Mike. We want you healthy and happy.
The looks on the players faces when he went down really shows how much he means to them. Prayers for a speedy recovery. God bless.

"JJ McCarthy says the team is going to give Mike Hart the game ball. Said Blake Corum should be delivering it to him soon."
October 9th, 2022 at 1:43 AM ^
Best wishes to Coach Hart.
October 9th, 2022 at 1:38 PM ^
I think Corum should try to win the Heisman to help boost Mike Harts spirits. It would make Coach Hart feel better.
