Michigan vs. Northwestern Game Thread
7-7 at the first TV timeout. Chris is being annoying
January 26th, 2022 at 6:39 PM ^
4 lost points near the rim already for diabate. needs to get a helluva lot stronger with the ball down low.
January 26th, 2022 at 6:41 PM ^
He's also swarmed it seems when he gets these passes, rarely is it 1 guy that's on him, a collapse seems ro quickly happen
January 26th, 2022 at 6:42 PM ^
Houstan taking a big step forward. Hopefully , Diabate follows.
January 26th, 2022 at 6:42 PM ^
Collins needs to shut the fuck up. Thay "contact" by Houstan is what happens when you bring it to the rack like that...don't come if you can't get through a vertical defender
January 26th, 2022 at 6:44 PM ^
nice diabate move
January 26th, 2022 at 6:46 PM ^
brooks needs to wake up. he's disappeared the past few games. even if it's just getting a 3 pt feed from HD after a double.
January 26th, 2022 at 7:05 PM ^
Have you noticed everyone else potentially waking up, though?! It may not be a coincidence. I don't think he's asleep...I think his role is helping everyone else come along and possibly taking a step back in aggression and seeking shots as the flow might be coming along for the offense, as a whole.
January 26th, 2022 at 7:12 PM ^
he needs to look for his shot and take it when he's open. he's done nothing the past 3 games. he can still get 10 pts per game while letting the O come to him. he doesn't need to be the aggressor he needed to be early in the year, given the help other guys are finally giving.
January 26th, 2022 at 6:47 PM ^
Does it feel to anybody else like teams are making an absurd number of highly improbable shots against Michigan this year? This phenomenon appears mostly at Crisler.
January 26th, 2022 at 6:50 PM ^
Like guys making his first three pointer of the year? I agree
January 26th, 2022 at 6:48 PM ^
Time for some Frankie freak athletic moves.
January 26th, 2022 at 6:49 PM ^
Northwestern hitting everything right now. Young hits fist three of the season lol. I’m not sure if Collins hates Michigan so much because he was a Dukie or what but he always seems way more animated against Michigan.
January 26th, 2022 at 6:53 PM ^
This game has the potential to get stupid.
January 26th, 2022 at 6:54 PM ^
Ever since Collins whined to the official we’ve been hammered with fouls
January 26th, 2022 at 7:00 PM ^
*NOC (Not Our Collins)
January 26th, 2022 at 6:57 PM ^
The Johns and Faulds lineup ain’t it Juwan
January 26th, 2022 at 6:57 PM ^
dumb lineup
January 26th, 2022 at 6:57 PM ^
Those announcers, wow you can tell we're on the BIG network at an off time. Not good.
January 26th, 2022 at 7:02 PM ^
The omnipresent Robbie Hummel
January 26th, 2022 at 6:57 PM ^
I don't get the Faulds minutes.
January 26th, 2022 at 6:58 PM ^
Basketball is hard to ref, I get it. But the state of refereeing in college basketball is so bad it actually detracts from the sport
January 26th, 2022 at 6:58 PM ^
when John's gets the ball in the post, he gets tunnel vision.
January 26th, 2022 at 6:58 PM ^
Looks like we are getting the lackadaisical Johns tonight and not the focused and confident one
January 26th, 2022 at 7:03 PM ^
We haven't even seen the latter this season. It may not exist anymore.
January 26th, 2022 at 7:10 PM ^
Saw it! At Nebraska.
January 26th, 2022 at 7:03 PM ^
He made his first and then confidence become overconfidence which is the same as unfocused.
January 26th, 2022 at 7:01 PM ^
Why is there a line up with three 4s and no shooters out there? I'm confused.
January 26th, 2022 at 7:01 PM ^
Weird guys lineup. This is our tribute to Coach Izzo.
January 26th, 2022 at 7:02 PM ^
Such a lame call
January 26th, 2022 at 7:02 PM ^
Thats not a fucking moving screen
January 26th, 2022 at 7:09 PM ^
More Eli 3s please. No need to be so scared to shoot.
January 26th, 2022 at 7:09 PM ^
i knew that williams foul was coming. way to much bumping and hand checks the last few possessions. so he gets a cheap one.
January 26th, 2022 at 7:12 PM ^
Absolutely zero flow to this game. The first 4 minutes you can assault someone without worry. Next, Michigan gets no home court with every ticky tacky BS foul possible. Then it’s a very inconsistent whistle. No idea what is a true foul in this game.
January 26th, 2022 at 7:13 PM ^
johns is still pathetic around the rim
January 26th, 2022 at 7:13 PM ^
And-1 Johns. That's what this should be. Instead 1 pt.
And then trying to dribble through 3 people. What the hell man
January 26th, 2022 at 7:14 PM ^
The Brandon Johns Jr. Story by Robbie Hummel - now in paperback
January 26th, 2022 at 7:16 PM ^
he's not wrong. a lot of wasted potential for johns in his career.
January 26th, 2022 at 7:15 PM ^
Not looking smooth
January 26th, 2022 at 7:15 PM ^
Not looking smooth
January 26th, 2022 at 7:16 PM ^
Johns is a mess.
January 26th, 2022 at 7:16 PM ^
This game is dumb. Solid analysis I know, but there's no other way to describe this slog.
January 26th, 2022 at 7:17 PM ^
Very uneven game. Defense isn't great, offense can't really string anything together consistently.
January 26th, 2022 at 7:17 PM ^
Everything about Johns annoys the fuck out of me.
January 26th, 2022 at 7:19 PM ^
Tying his shoe in the middle of NW possession was brilliant ??♂️
January 26th, 2022 at 8:08 PM ^
Johns...I dont recall a Mich player that just instinctively makes me want to metaphorically push him down a flight stairs whenever I look at him...I'm sure he's a good kid, but just watching him on the court makes me physically angry. Can't wait until he's outta here.
January 26th, 2022 at 7:18 PM ^
Jace,
January 26th, 2022 at 7:19 PM ^
Michigan has a hard time finishing at the rim
January 26th, 2022 at 7:19 PM ^
Feel like Houstan could've soared there for a 2handed dunk and drawn that contact better
January 26th, 2022 at 7:19 PM ^
Can Caleb shoot FTs from three instead? Might make a few.
January 26th, 2022 at 7:20 PM ^
Saw Juwan chewing Johns out. He looked pretty lazy trying to get his shoe situated and led to NW bucket
