Haskins to NFL
As expected, Haskins to the NFL. Of those leaving for the NFL, I will miss watching him most. Hurdling someone in every 3rd or 4th game!
January 7th, 2022 at 9:37 AM ^
Ummmm.
Edit: as the others stated below, not posted here... I must have read it on 247 as well.

My man....
January 7th, 2022 at 9:39 AM ^
I'm excited to watch him at the next level. When I saw him competing with Charbonnet for carries I'll admit I was a little skeptical why a former LB on the team was getting so many reps at RB when we had a stud RB in the making in Charbonnet. Needless to say he made a believer out of me this year. 3rd team All-American is a big honor. I wish him nothing but the best.
January 7th, 2022 at 9:41 AM ^
Lol he made it clear over a month ago when he accepted the invite to the senior bowl
January 7th, 2022 at 9:42 AM ^
To the OP's credit, this actually wasn't yet posted on the board. So, I can have some grace for this, even if Haskins has made his plans clear for well over a month or so now.
January 7th, 2022 at 9:48 AM ^
Seconded.
Normally I'm a post stickler, but this hadn't been posted, so all good.
January 7th, 2022 at 12:56 PM ^
Not sure about anyone else, but I am so damned relieved you are good with this post
January 7th, 2022 at 9:42 AM ^
I'm rushing through some things this morning and so at first all I saw was "Ha..... to NFL" and I about shit.
So far, other than Hinton, no departure entirely out of leftfield. Sucks, but part of the game. Happy for them at least! Get paid!
January 7th, 2022 at 12:55 PM ^
Who is the "Ha.." you're worried about to the NFL?
January 7th, 2022 at 1:07 PM ^
rbaugh
January 7th, 2022 at 9:49 AM ^
I remember when we signed him it was reported that Michigan viewed him as a 5 Star and intentionally didn't offer right away to avoid tipping other schools off. It didn't take long to prove the staff right. One of my all time favorites and a legend for his OSU game.
NFL = New Fools to Leap.
January 7th, 2022 at 10:00 AM ^
His last drive against OSU will live forever in the annals of Michigan football history. I doubt any of us has ever seen anything like it.
January 7th, 2022 at 10:05 AM ^
Same here. Haskins will forever be a UM legend. That last drive was just unbelievable. Gives me chills just thinking about it.
Hopefully we are saying the same thing about Corum, Edwards, JJ, etc...and not having to wait another 10 years.
January 7th, 2022 at 11:44 AM ^
Years and years from now, whenever I'm in the Big House, I will still remember being there in the snow at the start of that drive after Ohio cut the lead to 35-27 thinking - we MUST run the ball down their throats and put a nail in their coffin. And how we failed to run the ball with a lead at Ohio in 2016 when a few 1st downs would have done it. This time we (he actually) did it in style!
The long run and hurdle were among the greatest moments I've ever experienced there - and I was there for Wangler to Carter (1979), Harbaugh to Kolesar (1985), Gillette's FG vs Iowa (1986), Desmond PR (1991), Woodson PR (1997), etc.
January 7th, 2022 at 1:01 PM ^
yes so much yes to this.
I have watched it many times already. LEGEND.
January 7th, 2022 at 2:00 PM ^
I have watched it several times as well. Every time I watch it, my wife and kids are like "You're watching this again?!" That game was such a joy and weight lifted off every Michigan fan, that you just want to relive it over and over again!
January 7th, 2022 at 10:06 AM ^
So who are we still waiting on?
Ryan Hayes, maybe 60-40 staying?
Mazi Smith 85-15 staying?
Vincent Gray 60-40 staying?
That sound about right?
Has Jeter said he's returning?
January 7th, 2022 at 10:24 AM ^
Gray should be 90/10 or 100/0 unless I am missing something.
He certainly improved this year, but he is not an NFL corner right now.
January 7th, 2022 at 10:35 AM ^
Hayes? That would be a shock.
January 7th, 2022 at 10:37 AM ^
Yeah, I'm not sure it does any good to put percentages on these decisions, we we really have no idea. Hardly anyone saw the Hinton jump coming, and we have no idea what these young men are thinking. Just sit and wait.
January 7th, 2022 at 11:49 AM ^
I am surprised we were not more prepared for it. He was an elite recruit, elite bloodlines, contributed since his freshman year, and had a breakout season of sorts. I thought both Hinton and Smith were at least threats to leave but was hoping for both to return.
January 7th, 2022 at 12:28 PM ^
The “bloodlines” thing always creeps me out.
January 7th, 2022 at 11:08 AM ^
Can we stop posting every player that leaves for the NFL or every non factor player who transfers pls? Thx.
January 7th, 2022 at 11:17 AM ^
How dare someone post information on Michigan football on a Michigan blog!
January 7th, 2022 at 12:00 PM ^
Of all the dumb things we complain about here, this has to be one of the dumbest.
January 7th, 2022 at 1:11 PM ^
I’m sorry, is a Michigan player declaring for the draft or transferring not newsworthy on a Michigan sports blog?
If you don’t care, that’s your business. But nobody told you to click on the thread.
January 7th, 2022 at 1:33 PM ^
Why?
They each got their own individual "Hello" post(s), didn't they?
And besides, each one should have the honor of a MGoBoard exit post to thank them for their contributions to Michigan.
January 7th, 2022 at 11:16 AM ^
Absolutely knew this was happening but still somehow makes me sad to see it officially official. He became one of my all time favorite players. Will never forget what he did you osu (and others) this season.
January 7th, 2022 at 12:08 PM ^
And when it comes to physical toughness, Haskins rates right up there with running backs such as Chris Perry, De'Veon Smith, and Rob Lytle.
Haskins will certainly be missed!
January 7th, 2022 at 11:27 AM ^
Michigan legend forever. When you're done playing, come back to coach. Our at least come back to run over some fools
January 7th, 2022 at 12:50 PM ^
coach hurdles
January 7th, 2022 at 11:29 AM ^
Out of everyone declaring for the draft, I'm most happy for Haskins. 3* kid who just wouldn't quit and let his play do the talking. The hurdle against OSU should go down as an iconic UM picture moment in the same vein as Woodson's INT leap vs MSU and Howard's end zone catch vs ND.
Damn, I loved this year's team.
January 7th, 2022 at 11:29 AM ^
May he continue to lightly slide his giant balls across the top of his opponents helmets as he hurdles fools at the next level!
January 7th, 2022 at 11:32 AM ^
Did you upvote your own post?
January 7th, 2022 at 12:16 PM ^
Did you check?
January 7th, 2022 at 11:37 AM ^
Good luck to Haskins - I loved watching that kid as he always ran so hard and was very good at getting 'the tough yards'
Hoping he has a solid NFL career.
January 7th, 2022 at 12:09 PM ^
I don’t know what I’m talking about, but Haskins seems like he’d be great at Pittsburgh.
January 7th, 2022 at 12:42 PM ^
That or some other well-managed franchise where the GM and Head Coach have a clue on the building and proper utilization of a talented roster.

Oh that she is. The fire in my loins, this itch in my crotch!
January 7th, 2022 at 1:42 PM ^
Dude what? The lions finally have a legitimately good-looking coach and front office now and you say this? Yeah, Patricia and Quinn were an abomination, but Holmes and Campbell seem to have their shit together. Definitely not that bad. I can name multiple teams off the top of my head that are objectively worse
January 7th, 2022 at 1:46 PM ^
I'm actually cautiously hopeful too, but we still have the Ford family ownership as a handicap to deal with.
I like that the players respond well to Campbell, but in the off-season he needs to take a remedial course in in-game strategy, especially two-minute drill type stuff.
Holmes looks like an improvement so far, but the proof will be in the extra draft picks he's accumulated and what he does with them in what amounts to a nearly total rebuild.
January 7th, 2022 at 1:51 PM ^
I would agree, if they hadn't most likely screwed up the number one pick in this years draft! If you're not winning, at least lose right! Get the first pick to build your team on.
January 7th, 2022 at 2:31 PM ^
Good luck to Matt Forte 2.0. Was a pleasure watching him play. Godspeed.
