Oh my lord I don’t like to gaslight on this board, but this is just absurd. Last year OSU played MSU (the team who beat you guys last year) without our starting offensive line, Olave, our head coach and many, many more and absolutely ran them off of their home field. Harbaugh bitched out of The Game because Day and Co. would’ve literally put up 100 on you guys like he said he would’ve. Yes, it was very possible. But UM pulled out last year because of positive tests…less than we had for the MSU game if I remember correctly. This year we went out, we played our hardest, got our asses kicked and took the L. CJ is just telling everyone that he was sick. It was reported that he and a few others were sick as hell all week. In short, we don’t bitch out of the biggest game of the year. If we can get out of bed, we’ll be there.

1) There is a flu shot. Maybe OSU players should have taken it.
2) Last year, with COVID the rules were often made by the Governor and Michigan’s treatment of Covid was (let’s call it different than Ohio’). Same with school policy. We also didn’t have a vaccine and we’re unsure of treatments and long term effects of Covid.

I was unaware Harbaugh himself called the game off. I thought it was called off due to B1G covid rules that were set in place before the season.

CJ Stroud is a talented and, believe it or not, a humble kid. I don't blame him or the broader OSU team to say that bc let's be real, we've been in the same boat the past 10 years every time we lose to them. It's just it's OSU's time to sit in their corner and think deeply on why they sucked in the GAME this year.

It provides just enough doubt to make it seem a totally viable reason for the loss if all you were looking at was the final score. Hey, if they don't want to think they are responsible for the loss and it was outside factors, great.
I won't complain about the outcome, but just imagine how that game goes without the 3rd and 19 miracle catch, or the 4th and 4 bobble off an M DB back to the WR, or a pass being half a foot lower and Hutch pick 6ing 95 yards, or recovering 2 of your errant shotgun snaps and one bad mesh (3 total fumble recoveries). You're probably looking at a 4+ score loss, a complete blowout, and maybe they actually have to take full accountability.

The best part is that, if I recall correctly, when the flu rumors began spreading the week of the Game, the Ohio State insiders casually and confidently snuffed them out, saying that a few players were sick but nothing that would affect the Game.
It's remarkably entertaining watching the fanbase use illness as an excuse, when many of them are on-record saying it's a non-factor.

The flu is awfully contagious. Why didn’t Michigan players get sick the week following if the entire OSU team was dealing with the flu? There is high likelihood that it would pass from one team to the next. I work for a hospital and if you have verified flu, you’re out for five days because an individual remains contagious for five days from the onset of symptoms. Excuses!
