Doesn't really matter as long as Georgia clobbers Bama and Michigan takes care of Iowa next week. That puts us in the 2 or 3 slot against probably Cinci?

Win the B1G championship game next week and Michigan is in the CFP. Simple. should be ranked 2 or 3 after that. That’s what really matters.

We will be #2 for sure. As long as we win next week we lock that down at a minimum with how much the committee likes us this year. We'll be #1 if Bama beats UGA.

Not sure I agree that we'd be #1 if Alabama beats Georgia and wins the SEC next week (AND WE BEAT IOWA)
If we can jump from #5 to let's say #2 or 3 after beating #2 OSU this week, then Bama will easily jump to #1 after beating the former #1 team.

Maybe. But Alabama has looked much more "beatable" than Michigan this year. Even our one "loss" really wasn't, and the committee has acknowledged that. We'll see.
Just win, and the rest will shake itself out.

I’ll wait to hear what David Pollard has to say first. He seems to be pretty objective at ranking the Cfp teams.

This was an impressive win. And if we weren’t totally screwed in East Lansing earlier this year we’d be undefeated. I have to think this team is ranked #2 after that dominant win.
NC is wide open this year. If they take care or business against Iowa, I think this team can beat anyone including Georgia and Bama. Take care of Iowa first though.

Michigan's signature win is Ohio State, Alabama's signature win is Ole Miss (advantage M)
Michigan's loss is against Michigan State, Alabama's loss is against Texas A&M (advantage M)
Michigan's win against a fringe top-25 team is Wisconsin, Alabama's win against a fringe top-25 teams is Arkansas (advantage M, I think)
I don't see any other games that would put Alabama ahead of Michigan.

We do want Georgia to beat Alabama next week though. Because I suspect that they will avoid the immediate rematch so Georgia would be the #3 seed if they lost. And I would like another team to have a shot at taking out Georgia first.
