I guess dicking around with this shit comes naturally to them. Fuck you Frames!
November 12th, 2021 at 3:36 PM ^
Franklin said that the all-maize clash with the USC alternate home jerseys.
November 12th, 2021 at 7:56 PM ^
what is illinois wearing?

"Fuck psu and all their joepa-loving delusional fans!!" ~ East German Judge
November 12th, 2021 at 4:21 PM ^
The East German Judge and most sentient beings in the universe say that.
November 12th, 2021 at 4:19 PM ^
Yes, but whose wives and girlfriends are hotter? PSU's coaches or Michigan's? Frames says it comes down to that.
November 12th, 2021 at 8:37 PM ^
Well I must say, wifey and I met one of the assistant coaches girl walking into the NW game. Shes a beauty I'd say inside and out. Got to meet her sister as well.
November 12th, 2021 at 3:16 PM ^
They were protecting us from ourselves
November 12th, 2021 at 3:43 PM ^
Whether this "rumor" is true, well, I don't know.
I do know I really dislike the all maize uniforms.
November 12th, 2021 at 4:24 PM ^
Yet it's okay for BB?
November 12th, 2021 at 4:32 PM ^
yes because basketball is different and looks different and has different traditions and is a different game with different uniforms.
It would be cool if we come out in practice jerseys or clash our jerseys and shorts in basketball sometimes
November 12th, 2021 at 4:39 PM ^
Like that ever happened:
November 12th, 2021 at 8:13 PM ^
This was a good day for UM basketball.
November 12th, 2021 at 5:18 PM ^
UM colors are Maize and Blue. Not white. Embrace the Maize!
November 12th, 2021 at 4:09 PM ^
Exactly, those things are putrid.
November 12th, 2021 at 4:34 PM ^
PSU just did the whole college football world a favor.
November 12th, 2021 at 8:15 PM ^
So what! The kids like them. Thats all that matters.
November 12th, 2021 at 4:12 PM ^
Exactly. We don’t need to try to look like West Virginia, Pitt, Mizzou, or Cal
November 12th, 2021 at 8:42 PM ^
Do you honestly believe that when we go all maize, we are trying to look like any one of those teams?
Think about that for just a second.
November 12th, 2021 at 9:46 PM ^
Well maybe we aren't trying, but the effect is kinda the same...
November 12th, 2021 at 11:15 PM ^
It doesn't matter if they're trying to or not. The point is that they do look like those teams.
November 13th, 2021 at 12:10 AM ^
No they don't, because you know, the helmet (among other details).
And using that same logic. Our home combination looks like WVU and when we go all blue it looks like WVU as well.
When we go white and blue or white and maize or white and white...it looks like WVU.
Because they do every combo with basically the same colors. That's what happens when you have teams with similar colors.
Yet, somehow you all are cherry picking just the all maize look.
...or maybe, just maybe, we can all distinguish WVU from Michigan and you all can just say I don't like the all-maize (which is fine), without making up a bogus reason to justify it.
November 13th, 2021 at 12:32 PM ^
It's not a bogus reason. It's literally one of the reasons I hate the all-maize look. Because it looks too much like other teams and not like Michigan.
November 12th, 2021 at 3:17 PM ^
I'm kinda glad they did if that's true. Too much maize is like too much chrome on a vehicle. Just looks like poo poo
November 12th, 2021 at 3:29 PM ^
"U MAD LIL BRO", the name Phil, the use of "poo poo" all add up to a good amount of hilarity. (Phil is one of those inexplicably and usually unintentionally comedic names)
November 12th, 2021 at 4:25 PM ^
"Poo Poo" needs to be worked into every Penn State post going forward.
November 13th, 2021 at 12:17 AM ^

November 12th, 2021 at 3:17 PM ^
I don’t understand why they care what we wear but whatever. Beat them by 50!
November 12th, 2021 at 3:20 PM ^
UM should wear the all blues and really fuck with 'em.
November 12th, 2021 at 3:37 PM ^
They’d just block that too. Considering they’re the home team and will be wearing blue jerseys.
November 12th, 2021 at 4:08 PM ^
PSU will wear white pants and blue jerseys.
Michigan will say "screw you" and show up in blue pants and white jerseys.
Worked against Wisconsin
November 12th, 2021 at 4:37 PM ^
Might be a way to camouflage our secondary for pass-happy Penn State.
You can't hit Dotson if you can't find him.

Our trick will be CBs in handstand coverage.
November 12th, 2021 at 3:22 PM ^
Oh boy,…
November 12th, 2021 at 3:22 PM ^
im not mad. yellow pants and white jerseys! both teams wear the same colors. done.
November 12th, 2021 at 3:45 PM ^
I think we can hang up Maize pants for the year.
November 12th, 2021 at 4:22 PM ^
Okay, Boomer...
November 12th, 2021 at 3:24 PM ^
Not sorry about this. Not a fan of all maize for football.
November 12th, 2021 at 9:17 PM ^
Didn't we beat Florida in the 2017 season opener at Jerryworld in all maize? I can't remember any other time we wore them.
November 12th, 2021 at 3:25 PM ^
This is actually a rule? Wow. Sounds silly.
Fuck PSU.
November 12th, 2021 at 3:28 PM ^
How can they do that though?? Can someone explain how that works?
November 12th, 2021 at 3:33 PM ^
As far as I know, this only applies to jerseys, not pants, but if the away team wants to wear a jersey color other than white, they have to get approval from the home team (who reserves the right to wear whatever jersey they want, obviously). Most teams never worry about it, and sometimes both teams lean into it (like UCLA-USC wearing full blown home uniforms during their rivalry game, which we should absolutely steal for The Game).
The only thing I don't understand is why Michigan folks are acting like Penn State blocked it. The default is that away teams wear white jerseys, so unless we had an agreement or something worked out with Penn State, I'm not sure that "blocked" is the correct word here. Seems more like Michigan planned on something which wasn't likely to happen and got the expected result. But I've yet to see anymore details beyond what this post says.
November 12th, 2021 at 3:35 PM ^
Ahh, I really don't care for the all Maize but just wanted to know how that is possible.
November 12th, 2021 at 3:37 PM ^
Fuck that, already enough red in the Big House in recent years, don't need OSU wearing home unis in the Big House on top of that. UCLA and USC is completely different since they share the same city.
November 12th, 2021 at 3:43 PM ^
I'm pretty sure the home team also has to get approval from away teams if they wish to wear white at home. Franklin is quoted in 2019 while talking about PSU not wearing white during a white out as saying "We would have to get permission from the opposing team to allow us to wear white and I would never do that for anybody else, so we haven't even kind of gone that route" (Emphasis mine).
This shouldn't shock anyone that PSU wouldn't sign off on us wearing anything other than white.
November 12th, 2021 at 4:09 PM ^
is that a big ten rule? because I'm pretty sure LSU and GT pretty much always wear white at home
November 12th, 2021 at 4:18 PM ^
I'm not sure about GT but LSU got the SEC to put in a rule that for all SEC games LSU gets to default to white as is their tradition and doesn't require permission. Or I guess they have compelled the rest of the conference to agree to the white for all conference home games.
If I remember correctly with LSU they wear white on their first home OOC game (which would require permission) and then wear purple for the other OOC games.
EDIT: The SEC may have their own rule that the home team gets to dictate for all teams but that's not the norm in college football.
November 12th, 2021 at 3:58 PM ^
Because Penn States home jerseys are white, the typical jersey color of the visiting team, who therefore are obligated to pick an alternative "away" color?
