Jedd and Don not doing so great in the Valley Of The Sun
September 28th, 2021 at 2:43 PM ^
Ya, not their fault.
Brady Hoke is an awful coach!!
September 28th, 2021 at 2:47 PM ^
Hoke? Did you mean Don Brown or Jedd Fisch?
September 28th, 2021 at 2:50 PM ^
Honestly, I was just trying to be an asshole! Sorry, if I succeeded!
September 28th, 2021 at 3:28 PM ^
It's like an undefeated boxer. Once one opponent figures out how to beat him, he never bounces back.
September 28th, 2021 at 5:46 PM ^
Perfect new candidate photo for Brian's next "Thousand-Yard Stare" post.
September 28th, 2021 at 10:11 PM ^
At least make sense in doing so. Saying RR would jive since he coached there.
September 28th, 2021 at 2:48 PM ^
What does Brady Hoke (who is 4-0 at SDSU right now btw) have to do with Jedd and Don at Arizona?
September 28th, 2021 at 5:08 PM ^
The answer is:
Brady Hoke and SDSU beat Jedd and Don’s Arizona team 38 - 14 a couple of weeks ago.
September 28th, 2021 at 9:34 PM ^
But I am told that Don Brown is a great DC???
September 28th, 2021 at 2:49 PM ^
They were pretty damn game against the #3 team in the country on the road.
September 28th, 2021 at 4:43 PM ^
They lost 41-19.
September 28th, 2021 at 6:36 PM ^
It was 24-19 after 3 quarters
September 28th, 2021 at 7:16 PM ^
Too bad for them that games consist of four quarters.
September 28th, 2021 at 8:06 PM ^
Wasn't that the halftime score vs OSU in 2018?
Plus ca change...
September 28th, 2021 at 9:55 PM ^
Well in that case we can all calm down about the Rutgers game since we kicked their ass. Afterall.. it was 20-3 after 2 quarters.
September 28th, 2021 at 9:40 PM ^
ND beat Wisconsin 41-13, and that game was close for the most part. Sometimes the final score is misleading.
1st downs: Arizona 31, Oregon 17
Total offense: Arizona 435, Oregon 395
Number of plays: Arizona 88, Oregon 55
I guess that's Oregon domination to you. Dismissive prick.
September 29th, 2021 at 8:15 AM ^
Well played
September 28th, 2021 at 9:43 PM ^
The Valley of the Sun is Phoenix. U of A is in Tucson.
September 28th, 2021 at 2:41 PM ^
“It could always be worse” says the post that tries to disprove itself.
September 28th, 2021 at 2:51 PM ^
Can’t win them all.
September 28th, 2021 at 2:45 PM ^
i feel like this post is an overreaction to an overreaction
September 28th, 2021 at 2:50 PM ^
Could be. Just thought it was funny.
September 28th, 2021 at 2:51 PM ^
Take if from somebody who's spent about 23,000 days here on the right side of dirt. No matter how shitty things are it can ALWAYS get worse.
Always.
September 28th, 2021 at 3:08 PM ^
The “rocks” at “rock bottom” are only 18 inches thick and cover lava, more rocks, liquid hot magma, granite, and finally…Hell…
September 28th, 2021 at 4:10 PM ^
The only problem is that the rocks have to be within earshot of final grade or it is difficult for the surveyors to ascertain exactly what the distance is between the message board and Hell. That sonar equipment is a little quirky.
September 28th, 2021 at 4:58 PM ^
Given my experience with the two times that I insisted that "It cannot get any worse.", I am most reluctant to ever use that phrase ever again. Nope. Most painful. Yes, it can always get worse. As a matter of fact, it will get worse and we will be ready for it. Plan on it getting worse. The worst is going to happen. We will be ready.
September 28th, 2021 at 3:01 PM ^
Rich Rod did this once during the season while he was here
September 28th, 2021 at 3:55 PM ^
That's where my mind went as well. My recollection is that he liked to find fullbacks from the student body to save a couple of scholarships.
September 28th, 2021 at 4:11 PM ^
Isn’t student body tryouts how Jordan Kovacs joined the team?
September 28th, 2021 at 5:04 PM ^
I'm not sure why more schools don't do this (that aren't Alabama, Georgia, and a few others). Seems like you could always find a gunner, long snapper, etc and along with that, have some fun. If you find a solid defensive or offensive starter like Kovacs, even bigger bonus.
September 28th, 2021 at 9:42 PM ^
Knew a guy who went to walk on tryouts for punter multiple times. Sounded like a fun day or two to hang out and workout with the team and coaches even if you had no real chance of making the team. Seemed like a low cost way to build goodwill and maybe pick up a couple of depth guys (or find a Kovacs).
September 28th, 2021 at 4:59 PM ^
Bo held open kicking tryouts in 1979.
September 28th, 2021 at 8:11 PM ^
Josh Grobin?
September 28th, 2021 at 3:08 PM ^
We could also have the same record as Ohio State rather than being undefeated.
September 28th, 2021 at 3:20 PM ^
I hear they have some players available......
September 28th, 2021 at 3:23 PM ^
Should be fun to watch...
September 28th, 2021 at 10:11 PM ^
He was offsides
September 28th, 2021 at 3:23 PM ^
Meanwhile
San Diego St. is 4-0.
September 28th, 2021 at 3:30 PM ^
Hoke is an A+ recruiter
I think
September 28th, 2021 at 3:49 PM ^
You may be right. Maybe
September 28th, 2021 at 5:01 PM ^
Bring him back as DL coach and recruiting coordinator.
September 28th, 2021 at 3:50 PM ^
This is Hoke's 2nd year as head coach and SDSU just had the #1 class in their conference. He has consistently been a good recruiter throughout his career.
I personally still blame his boss for most of his problems here.
September 28th, 2021 at 5:03 PM ^
It didn't help that Rich Rod was unable to recruit a QB before he left. It was great to have Dennard but Devin Gardner was a wide receiver and after that the cupboard was bare. Of course, Brady should have then recruited an A1 QB.
September 28th, 2021 at 6:18 PM ^
He bungled the QB talent on the roster by not taking a QB the year before Shane Morris. He bet everything on Shane Morris. It was always going to be hard to recruit a QB the year after Morris, and he did OK getting Wilton Speight the following year.
September 28th, 2021 at 7:49 PM ^
Absolutely agree. That gap is unforgivable. It cost him dearly. I think he inherited such a mess that he neglected to recruit a good QB. That or he trusted Borges and it obviously didn't work out.
September 29th, 2021 at 6:57 AM ^
Hoke went 11-2 his first year here using Rich Rod’s players and basically running Rich Rod’s offense
September 28th, 2021 at 8:21 PM ^
RR also failed to recruit OL players
September 28th, 2021 at 10:24 PM ^
Devin was a QB.
