Much appreciated! Huge part of the team!

Every single player on the roster appears to be having fun. They're all all in.

Bet the coaches are digging it as well. Was thinking about Phil Martelli. Long, long time mid major head coach. Gets canned, comes here in the second chair and gets to help coach a legit national championship contender with a team full of high character players.

They’re a huge part of what makes this team so good.

Also, someone just pointed out on twitter that Michigan's third most frequent lineup combination in the last five games has been the bench warmer lineup. That's right....our lineup at the end of blowouts is the third most frequently used. Insane.....

They really have some talent !

Best celebrations since Jordan Poole.

does anyone have that resuscitation video link? i tried finding it on google and youtube but failed.

Need a crowd somewhere. Just being there for each other. I loved it. It wasn’t classless either; just fun loving cheering. Imagine a crowd for this display.

The bench is killing it this year with their energy and drive. It’s adding that sixth man factor and boy are they having fun! These kids clearly love playing for Juwan. The guy really is a players coach. It was evident in his first season when zero players transfusion he took the job. You know the first game against App state I was a little nervous because he looked like he was in over his head. But my goodness now he looks like an expert out there coaching them up in the huddle and making halftime adjustments. Love It!!

Juwan had me when he teared up at his introductory press conference.

Thanks for posting that!

I will be accused of beating a dead horse with a stick, and football is different, but we don't see that type of bench "love" from the football bench.
January 13th, 2021 at 7:17 AM ^
With football we don’t see the starters fired up much less the bench. The energy on the basketball team is worth watching the games alone. I’m not a basketball guy and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the kids have so much fun yesterday.

Football... Against PSU, Harbaugh had to walk around the bench area telling players to cheer their teammates for a good play.
January 12th, 2021 at 10:34 PM ^
Amen.
Young Howard is a delight to watch.

Love it - hoping that we don't get a technical in the future because of it.
Edit: This is better promotional material than any recruiting visit.

Best bench mob in the country! That 36-3 run was some of the most fun I have ever had as a fan!
January 13th, 2021 at 8:03 AM ^
Don't see them short! It was a 43-6 run...
January 12th, 2021 at 10:50 PM ^
Indeed! The bench is providing plenty of gif worthy moments.
January 12th, 2021 at 11:06 PM ^
It would be soooo much fun to have fans at these games right now.
But it's a blast seeing all the bench players getting into the games, doing cheers, our own student section.
January 12th, 2021 at 11:18 PM ^
From the start of the game - they were up cheering on the team. I think I saw some coordinated chants very early that seemed to have an impact.
Overall energy level from this team is insanely good. Every player shows up like they are a part of the bench mob and every moment matters more than any of us can imagine. So much fun to watch.
January 12th, 2021 at 11:18 PM ^
THAT WAS FUN TO WATCH!!!
January 12th, 2021 at 11:23 PM ^
You beat me to it with this thread.
I think that what we're seeing this year with both football and basketball is that certain teams have risen to the occasion with empty arenas and stadiums, and certain teams have floundered. We know how our football team fared. Indiana, on the other hand, thrived. With no energy coming from the fans, you have to find it from somewhere else.
Our basketball team has found it from somewhere else. Our bench's off-court performance has been every bit as valuable as Hunter Dickinson's on-court performance.
This is a clinic in how a college program should operate.

Definitely the best bench mob since the 2014 team when McGary and Dakich would routinely steal the show.
January 12th, 2021 at 11:41 PM ^
Lucky for them, this team gives them lots to celebrate.
January 13th, 2021 at 12:20 AM ^
And it’s not just the bench mob creating energy. When they are on the floor, the starters are showing their love. Recall Jace’s first M points against MD and how crazy the starters got.
January 13th, 2021 at 12:45 AM ^
I visited a Wisconsin Badger blog and they were talking about the energy from the Michigan bench. They said Wisconsin just doesn't really have those types of players in their starting lineup or bench.
They felt the bench does help Michigan play better, especially during these COVID-19 times with not much crowd support.

Those guys are awesome and hilarious!
I'm watching this season with my dad, and we were laughing it up and loving when we get to see those guys.
They are quite impressive in their humor and technique!
January 13th, 2021 at 6:55 AM ^
Andrew Dakich was fun to watch on the bench back in the day. But these kids are fueling the team with no home crowd to help bring the energy.
January 13th, 2021 at 7:15 AM ^
What a team. Loving it.
January 13th, 2021 at 7:50 AM ^
I wish the football bench showed as much excitement and real joy for the accomplishment of their team mates as the basketball team bench guys
January 13th, 2021 at 8:03 AM ^
I love the enthusiasm and the performance of it.
It's also great that we're finally shifting away from the fusty notion that sports at all times require decorum, that athletes should always act like modest characters in polite domestic dramas.
January 13th, 2021 at 8:57 AM ^
Besides providing energy at home games in lieu of fans, this should tip road games in their favor as well. With this much energy every game can feel like a home game!
January 13th, 2021 at 1:53 PM ^
Ok whos the guy that runs behind the bench on every great play ,esp after break away dunks ,love it
