Good for Duncan, miss him being on our team, his defense got so much better by the time he was a senior and now his even shooting looks better.
December 25th, 2020 at 8:35 PM ^
But his odd shooting looks rather....well...
December 25th, 2020 at 8:48 PM ^
Please tell me you're a dad or you may not get many other chances to use this dad joke.
I did chuckle though, don't tell anyone.
December 25th, 2020 at 1:45 PM ^
Duncan has improved a lot...he was a great spot up shooter, but now does so off the bounce, on hand offs, screens,..
He's all not afraid to let it fly if the shot is open...
I'm hoping Franz picks up the volume on his shooting to be honest...

That's a very baseball-esque stat.

Can't wait for the BTN tweet.

Duncan Robinson out here making Christmas Day history with six 3s in the first half for the @MiamiHEAT. ?

He's now tied the game record with 7. Still a quarter to play.
But my favorite sequence of his was when he beat Steven Adams on a jump ball, forced Zion to travel, and then hit a 3.
December 25th, 2020 at 2:20 PM ^
He's come a long way from the days of Uncan. (When he was an underclassmen, one of his teammates said "there is no D in Duncan.")

I loathe meaningless sports stats like this one, and is one (of many) reasons I started to stop watching ESPN many years ago. They can’t resist it, especially for NFL and NBA coverage.
They don’t pass the “so what?” test.
December 25th, 2020 at 7:42 PM ^
Thanks for thoughts, Ebonezer...
December 25th, 2020 at 8:24 PM ^
Nothing against D-Rob, but I was going to post a similar sentiment. I'm often spraining my eye muscles with the eye rolling made up stats that ESPN likes to cite.

2 days late for Festivus, but will give you a pass.
That breaks my record of most "passes" provided on Christmas Day during the NBA season at "1".
December 25th, 2020 at 10:43 PM ^
Agree, i never liked when they said player X is the first player in NBA history with 30 blocks 30 assists and 273 points before the age of 20.

I just drank the most orange juice ever (2 cups) on a Christmas Friday from a slightly chipped 2012 UM branded cup that was a birthday gift from my sister that arrived 2 days late. Probably
December 25th, 2020 at 3:28 PM ^
Only impressed if WD doesn’t have the same cup...
December 25th, 2020 at 3:32 PM ^
We’ll never know.
RIP: WD.
December 25th, 2020 at 4:35 PM ^
I'm on thin ice already after being Bolivia'd.
When did WD get banned and for what?
December 25th, 2020 at 5:39 PM ^
I don’t remember exactly, but I think he hurt Ace’s feelings. He must be dominating some Michigan sports internet board somewhere. I miss his relentless fandom.

Giannis should have gone to Miami. They do an incredible job developing players.
With Butler, Bam and those shooters he would have had the so much space to work with in the paint. They would have been an incredible defensive team as well.

The money quote was actually:
Robinson will likely earn more than Joe Harris’ $75 million. It’s possible Robinson earns upwards of $90 million.
That's a lot of money, good for Duncan!

Obscure ESPN records are obscure because they don't exist until ESPN creates them.
