Who is W.G. Brady? (UofM boosters --> $12M for Urban?)
Of Detroit Sports Nation? I've never heard of the guy. Not a great looking website. Not specific at all about sources. But claims UofM boosters -- a prominent one in particular -- are getting a $12M/season offer prepared to make Urban. Probably bs. But here:

It's B.S.

I don't know why people can't understand that Urban Meyer will never, ever, ever coach at Michigan. The man HATES Michigan. Named his bar the 7-0 Pint House.
You could offer him $25M a year and he still wouldn't come here.
November 16th, 2020 at 1:38 PM ^
I don't think he will ever coach here either. But it seems possible that Urbz named his bar that because he is pandering to his customer base, not necessarily because he hates Michigan.
November 16th, 2020 at 1:42 PM ^
Although I agree. It would be hard for any human to turn down $25,000,000. I would have to talk my way out of that one.
November 17th, 2020 at 8:15 AM ^
Agree...ZERO% chance Urban would step foot in AA. He won’t even say the word Michigan
November 15th, 2020 at 11:41 PM ^
Doubtful.

The "source" is some guy named Michael Scott from Platform Sports Media. 10yrs, $120M.

I stumbled across "Michael Scott" and Platform Sports for the first time about a week or so ago, Scott at that time had 3 "followers", one of which was totally anonymous. The article that popped up was so meh that I don't really remember what his point was about Harbaugh, mostly nothing but rehashed wilted word salad.
As for Platform Sports, I wasn't sure what to make of it. Maybe a haven for fledgling freelancers?
November 16th, 2020 at 3:17 PM ^
Maybe they meant Michael Spath.

I only accept sports rumors from Prison Mike

I hear the Dementors are gonna go far this year
November 16th, 2020 at 9:14 AM ^
Well let me tell ya, I heard some things in Prison.

I am not superstitious about this offer. But, I am a little stitious.

"That's what she said. ."

Michael Scott? From Dunder-Mifflin? Sounds like a reliable source.
November 16th, 2020 at 11:02 AM ^
Is this another Scott's Tots promise?
November 16th, 2020 at 12:34 PM ^
How the turn tables.
November 15th, 2020 at 11:43 PM ^
yeah i mean it's obviously BS but can you imagine how hilarious it'd be if urban meyer came here and it was the only place he ever failed in his career?

That is exactly what would happen. This is the way.
November 16th, 2020 at 12:59 AM ^
I'd pay to see it. There's zero downside. We either curse and tarnish Urban's record or he gives us winning seasons and something to cheer about
November 16th, 2020 at 10:53 AM ^
I'm on the other side here. If Urban is winning there is nothing to cheer about. If he's losing (in this context) there is also nothing to cheer about.
November 16th, 2020 at 1:38 AM ^
That's why if would be a challenge for Urbz, he has never failed at any of his stops, so he would be interested in our job if offered.
November 16th, 2020 at 8:43 AM ^
I would regard covering up domestic violence as a failure. Not on the field, but still a failure.
November 16th, 2020 at 9:49 AM ^
The only school Saban hasn't won a championship at is MSU.
Toledo (1 season): 1 MAC title
MSU (5 seasons):
LSU (5 seasons): 1 national title, 2 conference titles
Alabama (14 seasons): 5 national titles, 6 SEC Championships

This is how we finally beat him!
November 15th, 2020 at 11:59 PM ^
He is Lloyd Brady’s illegitimate stepson.

Wait, I have a brother!? Best. News. Ever.

Time to load up the money cannon with the heavy shot!! Urban #1, Fickell #2, Campbell #3
November 16th, 2020 at 9:13 AM ^
I still don't understand why we want Fickell - the only Ohio State we have beaten since 2003. Let's hire Ohio State's loser coach??? How does that look???
November 16th, 2020 at 9:22 AM ^
Was an overthrow away from beating us with that shitty Ohio State team. Maybe the last inaccurate throw from an Ohio State QB against us. I'd say the job he did stepping into those circumstances is a positive, not a negative.

Why is Mario Cristobal getting little to no love around here?
November 16th, 2020 at 10:35 AM ^
Because long-distance love relationships seldom work out?

Because long-distance love relationships seldom work out?
(Edit---except maybe when you try twice as hard)
November 16th, 2020 at 11:22 AM ^
Because there is almost no reason for him to take this job. Yea he is underpaid there, but the Ducks would give him a raise if we started sniffing around.
November 16th, 2020 at 12:44 AM ^
I hope Urban brings his "bagman" with him to even things out !!!
November 16th, 2020 at 1:33 AM ^
W.G. is Lloyd Brady's Father. Surprised you did not know that. I would say this is the real deal.
November 16th, 2020 at 7:01 AM ^
I"m confused. I thought Lloyd Brady was the love child of Lloyd Carr and Tom Brady, hence the name.
November 16th, 2020 at 8:18 AM ^
the love child of Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) from Dumb and Dumber and Tom Brady.
November 16th, 2020 at 1:33 AM ^
There is no way that Urban Fucking Meyer is coming to Michigan to coach. USC, maybe, but not Michigan. His likeliest dream job now is to become A.D. at Ohio.
November 16th, 2020 at 1:41 AM ^
While at Utah, he said his dream jobs would be to coach at OSU, Michigan or Notre Dame. USC was never mentioned as one of his dream job spots.
November 16th, 2020 at 2:06 AM ^
While I was in Utah I ate a shit ton of peyote and vomited on some poor hookers shoes
November 16th, 2020 at 9:51 AM ^
There are two sides to Utah, the ultra religious and the puking on poor hookers shoes while on peyote. There is very little in between.
November 16th, 2020 at 3:34 AM ^
While at Utah, I was Urban’s doppelgänger. I said things. Many things. Interesting things. Even Michigan things. Fake things.
November 16th, 2020 at 7:03 AM ^
Florida is not on that list and, as we know, he went there after Utah.
