OT - Movies filmed at Big Ten Schools
My family and I the last couple of nights watched two movies shot at Big 10 schools: Back to School (Wisconsin) and Breaking Away (Indiana).
What others movies besides Burn After (Not) Reading (The Story of Couches at Michigan State) have been filmed at Big 10 universities?
From my time in Ann Arbor, these films were shot on campus, or very near. Answer This, Jumper (State and Liberty), Ides of March, The Five-Year Engagement, Mooz-Lum, and Salvation Boulevard. No stone cold classics like Breaking Away, but Five-Year Engagement does have basically every actor in Hollywood in it. I also think the finale of Weeds uses the Michigan Union in an establishing shot.
I was in my last year of school during the filming of Salvation Boulevard. I told my wife that Pierce Brosnan was walking around campus and she immediately brought our kids and a pizza to camp out at the law quad in hopes of glimpsing him. It started pouring rain but we didn't leave. Eventually, Pierce Brosnan walked by holding an umbrella and noticed us. He said, "Well isn't that a lovely picture?" My wife got super excited and said, "Can...can we take a picture with you?" He said, "Sure." and she handed me the camera and ran directly to him with the kids.
I've never seen the movie, but at least we have that memory. Should have been Marissa Tomei walking by.
Marissa Tomei would hang with you, unless you’re “sort of” engaged.
I'll never forget in the Tailor of Panama when he said, "the thing is like a windsock." Never thought that much of him before that, but that role proved that he could go much deeper and wider than he was generally called to do.
Found this...Big 10 and all the rest:

All UM has is "The Program". We have some work to do in this department.
Don't fret, the list isn't even close to complete. Hell, Ghostbusters isn't shown under Columbia.
Over there's Shea. He's the big brains of the three. I'll watch out for him. Next up is Sparty crush. She's the fact-checker. If you or anyone got a secret, she'll find out about it someway.
And him. Well uh, he's the dumb one. ThePonyConquerer is.

refund!??! REFUND!?!??!?
That's Iti food
The cat's name is not Fellini! It's Jake! I won't have any "eenie" in this house!
I want some American food, dammit! Gimme some french fries!
That movie is a priceless little gem. And Paul Dooley gets all the great lines.
"No, I don't feel lucky to be alive! I feel lucky I'm not dead. There's a difference."
"I didn't want you to be this miserable. A little bit's all I asked for."

Breaking Away is a classic college town movie. Class conflict with poor cutters vs wealthy college kids. Some romance and good comedy. Competition with the Little 500. Good stuff.

"Campus Invasion" was also shot at Indiana.
NSFW alert...DON'T GOOGLE THIS AT WORK!
Does Work From Home count?
Your hands are free to do whatever when at home!
Social Network was filmed at Johns Hopkins if you wanna count lacrosse.
The Four Corners of Nowhere was filmed in Ann Arbor while I was in school there. Had a premiere (at the Michigan Theater maybe?) where we met the director.
I haven't checked, but I assume Obstruction of Justice was filmed at MSU, Above the Law at OSU and Leaving Neverland at PSU.
"The Longest Yard" was filmed at Michigan State, I'm pretty sure.
Unless you're being facetious (and in that case, it was really the controversial call at our game at the Shoe in the 2018), it was filmed at our local community college. But then again they didn't need extras for the prisoners for Sparty--just cast the entire team.
I was at Miami (NTM....also not Big Ten) when Little Man Tate was filmed there. Saw Jodie Foster and Harry Connick around.
There are scenes from Batman V. Superman filmed in and around the modern art museum at MSU.
I don't think a street littered with the remains of burnt couches counts as a modern art museum
It's not exactly burning couches, but it is one of the more controversial buildings on campus (I dig it, personally. There isn't a whole lot up here that I'm willing to defend anymore, but this is one thing that I'll stand up for)

I think it's in a party scene that Lex Luthor is hosting? I'm not sure, I've never watched the movie.
Woah, that's pretty cool! I wasn't familiar, and didn't expect that at all...
It's a neat building, and it's right on Grand River at the edge of campus, so it's really prominent. I like the idea of it too- how risky it is to do a building like that, when the architecture at MSU is as consistent as it is.
The Yes Man with Jim Carrey goes to a Nebraska Football game.
Some scenes in The Express, the movie about Ernie Davis of Syracuse University, the first African-American to win the Heisman Trophy, were filmed at Northwestern's Ryan Field which was made to resemble Archbold Stadium where Syracuse played its home football games before the Carrier Dome was built. LINK
FUN FACT: Before he became known as either Jackie Robinson in 42 and T'Challa/Black Panther, the Avenger from Wakanda, Chadwick Boseman appears in The Express as Floyd Little, the three-time All-American from Syracuse who became a member of both the College and Pro Football Halls of Fame.
I realize this isn’t a movie but I would guess there have been multiple episodes of “Cops” filmed on campus of “the” ohio state university with the football team alone.
From the mouth of TP - “Not everybody's the perfect person in the world. I mean everyone kills people, murders people, steals from you, steals from me, whatever. ..
Breaking Away is an underrated kick ass movie.
the movie "Cedar Rapids" was filmed in Ann Arbor, at the godawful Clarion motel with the indoor pool.....many outside scenes down by the river, as well.
