Livers is back in the lineup. Let’s hope that’s the good Mojo we need to get back on track

Wow - long rebound and instead of Simpson accelerating to the bucket for a  3-on-2 transition bucket he jogged up the court and kicked it out to Brooks who took a shot that grazed the bottom of the rim, basically an airball. Yuck. Scoring points is like pulling teeth with this team. PUSH IT WHEN YOU CAN.

UM is shooting 28% from 3 since the Louisville game. I excluded the games against Presbyterian and UML.

They shoot an average of 25 3's per game and make 7 of them.  So that's the baseline right now...7-25.  Not too hard to figure out why this team is on a losing streak. They're not good enough to overcome those shooting numbers.

And today...1/10 from 3 and 5/24 overall.  That's just stupid bad...for a high school team.

A pump fake 3 followed by a drive and a layup for Brooks. Highlight of the half for me. Need way more of that. At some point you have to stop side stepping after the pump fake, or pump faking and passing around the horn. If they aren't dropping, you pump fake and drive.

Season started out so promising. Injuries didn’t help but this team crashed and burned hard. Have to make the tournament next season. Can’t miss the tournament 2 years in a row. Hopefully softball does well this season.

Right now, Illinois is 8-18 from 2, and we are 7-17. So, basically a wash.

They are 3-5 from 3 and we are 1-11.
Brooks air balled a wide open 3. Teske barely caught rim on his last one.  It’s not like Illinois has great 3 point defense. We just can’t shoot. It makes the Bahamas trip incomprehensible in retrospect.
