I would've very much liked a chance against chiganov
November 30th, 2019 at 7:32 PM ^
Wow. 12 men on the field for Alabama. What an ending. Waddle didnt even get the chance.
November 30th, 2019 at 7:33 PM ^
Yeah, that’s incredibly depressing
November 30th, 2019 at 8:03 PM ^
Alabama had a backup QB and shat the bed otherwise.....2 pick 6s and several other gifts.
OSU has not done that against M recently.
November 30th, 2019 at 7:33 PM ^
But the talent disparity!
November 30th, 2019 at 7:36 PM ^
Need to fix the coaching disparity too. If you don’t recruit well then gtfo of Michigan. Looking at Don Brown and Mike Zordich.
November 30th, 2019 at 8:13 PM ^
What coaching disparity? Fact is you put 8 in the box OSU will throw for 500, if you put 7 in the box they will run for 400.
They have the #1 and #3 draft prospects and they ditched the #2 for Fields. They have 40 pounds on average on the OL and they're just as quick.
November 30th, 2019 at 7:44 PM ^
Yeah, was going to post something similar. Auburn has consistently had the ~10 recruit class in the country (IE basically us) to Alabama's juggernaut, but even in the years they don't win, they're at least competitive with Alabama. Something weird is going on with us.
November 30th, 2019 at 8:09 PM ^
Kudos to you for seeing reality.
Many of our fans delude themselves into alternate realities in order to make sense out of our ineptitude.
Penn state kept the score respectfully close to OSU in Columbus and they essentially have the same caliber of players as us.
3 out of 5 of Harbaugh's OSU losses have been inexcusably bad. We are not THAT much worse than OSU in talent.
This is all on the coaches.
Also if you put together a complete list of all the recruits that washed out under Harbaugh its inexcusable. We have way too many transfers and highly ranked players who never play.
Aubrey Solomon, Kareem Walker, Jordan Anthony, drew singleton, Brandon Peter's, Luigi villain, o'Maury Samuel's, Wheatley jr, Devin asiasi, Eddie mcdoom, kekoa Crawford. This is just off the top of my head. Theirs a lot more.
December 1st, 2019 at 1:58 AM ^
Don't forget squandering the talent of someone like Nico Collins by steadfastly refusing to throw deep shots...
I think you forgot about James Hudson on the list of unfortunate transfers, but I could be wrong.
November 30th, 2019 at 7:44 PM ^
Bama's Heisman contender was on crutches - Fields was playing.
Tell me how both games today if the situation was reversed?
November 30th, 2019 at 7:49 PM ^
We knocked Barrett out of the game in 2014 AND 2017 and lost...both times. Alabama's QB didnt even play bad. Auburn just matched them.
November 30th, 2019 at 8:18 PM ^
Alabama’s version of JT was Jalen Hurts and he left because he wasn’t starting, so basically they didn’t have a legit backup. It’s just backwards because the younger guy was so good. I’m sure Haskins would have done just as well as JT if he started the whole year.
November 30th, 2019 at 8:12 PM ^
Hey chump, this is third different OSU quarterback that has throttled one of Harbaughs michigan teams.
Please keep making excuses though.
November 30th, 2019 at 7:33 PM ^
And we can thank Auburn for making sure there isn’t 2 SEC teams in the playoff.
*As long as LSU takes care of business.
November 30th, 2019 at 7:36 PM ^
But Alabama's athletes are so much bigger, faster, and more athletic!?!? It could never be about coaching could it?
November 30th, 2019 at 7:36 PM ^
Yup, can't complain that the talent gap is too big when Auburn beats Alabama every 4 years or so. Let's face it, we just don't want to beat Ohio State as much as they want to beat us.
November 30th, 2019 at 7:40 PM ^
Lol.
Enjoy watching Michigan go 5-7 in 2021 because Michigan fired Harbaugh for "just not wanting it enough."
November 30th, 2019 at 8:27 PM ^
If Harbaugh "wanted it enough," he'd do what he has do on the coaching, recruiting, preparation, and execution side of his job and win the damn game.
Some fans will make excuses that we just can't do anything other than let them dominate us for 20 some years. I think we need our Jim Tressel moment, call our shot, and back it up. If Auburn can beat Bama, what the hell is our excuse?
November 30th, 2019 at 7:44 PM ^
Auburn has actually won 2 of the last 3 Iron Bowls.
November 30th, 2019 at 7:37 PM ^
I came on here to post this after watching the end of that game. Bama and Auburn is basically Ohio State vs us with the exception of Auburn actually winning that game.
November 30th, 2019 at 7:37 PM ^

Auburn also has good bagmen. Maybe it's about time UM just says F it and does the same thing.
November 30th, 2019 at 7:41 PM ^
Auburn is consistently right where we are in terms of recruiting rankings...they're the 5th best program in the SEC at best.
November 30th, 2019 at 7:58 PM ^
Difference is their players show up in big games. They have what is refered to as "dawgs" or "ballers". They have guys that just MAKE PLAYS on the biggest stage. How many of those does UM have? There's an x factor that doesn't show up near as much in the types of players UM recruits despite their physical measurables being comparable.
November 30th, 2019 at 7:38 PM ^
We’re on the receiving end of the most lopsided rivalry in college sports right now. It’s not even close right now.
November 30th, 2019 at 8:07 PM ^
I think Tenn Bama is the only one that is worse if that counts lol. UVA snapped their losing streak to Va Tech last night...
November 30th, 2019 at 7:40 PM ^
To be fair, Alabama's starting QB missed the game with an injury. Our game would probably have been a lot different with no Fields.
November 30th, 2019 at 7:45 PM ^
OSU's starting QB has never been knocked out of the game against us...oh wait he was, twice, and we still lost.
Also Fields was knocked out today and they still marched right down the field.
November 30th, 2019 at 8:22 PM ^
They marched about 20 yards before Fields returned.
Yes, I'd take my chances against Chugunov over Fields for a whole game.
November 30th, 2019 at 8:40 PM ^
Chuganov is good enough that dobbins would have chewed our ass up all day. The best thing osu did for us was dropping back to pass. We couldn’t do shit to stop straight runs up the middle
November 30th, 2019 at 7:40 PM ^
Malzahn has beat Bama three times, this year with a true frosh QB, and they still want to can him. Even Herman and Charlie Strong bested OU once. Harbaugh at 0 and 5 has a big Halo effect. Most of us are realists, OSU is better, but it's not unrealistic to get a win here and there against a superior team.Jim can't do it .
November 30th, 2019 at 8:10 PM ^
Jim can’t beat any superior teams. Period. I think ND were favorites and that’s the only W he has. 0-9 or 10 against anyone else. When the chips are down, bet against Jim.
November 30th, 2019 at 7:41 PM ^
Well, If chuganov started for OSU today it would be a different story. It Alabama has a healthy Tua they’d smoke em
November 30th, 2019 at 7:44 PM ^
If.....there are "ifs" in every sport. That excuse is so fucking lame
November 30th, 2019 at 7:55 PM ^
I don't know Chuganov but I'm sure he's capable of handling the ball off to JK Dobbins and throwing passes to receivers 10 yards behind Metellus. They'd still beat us, perhaps by a few less points that's all.
November 30th, 2019 at 7:55 PM ^

I get the point, but Auburn was helped by playing Bama's back up today. Would've loved to get Chugavov or whatever his name was. Not often you get to beat Bama when your starting QB is 15/30 for 173 yds. Sheesh
November 30th, 2019 at 7:43 PM ^
November 30th, 2019 at 7:44 PM ^
Awesome. Let's get a Bama vs PSU matchup in one of the NY6 bowls and then we can see that pathetic corrupt institution get absolutely demolished in front of a national audience. Will be great.
January 12th, 2020 at 8:10 AM ^
...on the other hand, it appears that AL drew us and demolished us on a national stage (in embarrassing fashion - careful what you wish for.
November 30th, 2019 at 7:44 PM ^
Spoiler alert you fucking whining snowflake.
November 30th, 2019 at 7:47 PM ^
Yeah but how? They don't have all 5* on their roster. That means they have to only beat their arch rival once a decade.
November 30th, 2019 at 7:49 PM ^
Auburn also has good bagmen. Maybe it's about time UM just says F it and does the same thing.
November 30th, 2019 at 8:13 PM ^
Auburns home-field advantage is so much stronger than Michigan. Michigan Stadium and the fans there couldn’t be intimidating if their life depended on it
November 30th, 2019 at 10:08 PM ^
You can count on them giving their tickets to OSU fans every year though. So lame. Terrible. Just terrible.
November 30th, 2019 at 8:26 PM ^
I know we all want to blame the defense for our loss, but look at the score game of this game, 48-45. I doubt either teams is clamoring to fire their DC. In today's college football, your offense needs to be able to win a shootout, especially against a rival. I don't care who our DC is, we won't be holding OSU to less than 30pts in a looong time.
Our offense is showing a lot of signs of improvement, but isn't consistent enough to keep up with OSU yet.
November 30th, 2019 at 10:16 PM ^
This is exactly right. Alabama let Auburn score 48 and LSU 46. On the flip side, Auburn had a top 5 defense and allowed 45 to a backup at Bama. LSU is the second best team in the country and allowed 41 to Bama. Georgia a few years ago had a stacked defense and allowed 40+ to Oklahoma. A few years ago Clemson-Alabama was 45-40. And last year Clemson put up 44 on Bama. In between those years it was 35-30. Clemson, Bama, Georgia, LSU, and Aurburn were all loaded in these games with NFL level talent on defense. And in most of them their defenses were top 5. So do all of their coordinators suck? No. That’s the way the game is going now. Same thing with Lamar Jackson in the NFL. He put up 35+ against a historic defense in New England. RPO offenses with athletic QBs are insanely hard to stop. You need an offense that can consistently get you 35+ in today’s football against big time opponents. I think starting next year Michigan will finally have that. I honestly think next year Michigan will finally make the college football playoff. And this is the first time I’ve honestly thought that. The defense loses some contributors but McGrone and Hill are going to lead the defense and be playmakers like other teams have.
