LOL Peoples-Jones TD pose was a sick troll
Might be the second greatest TD pose in Michigan football history.

That's a nice side-by-side comparison. I confess I didn't understand Peoples-Jones' epic troll live, either.
Extraordinary, Mr. Peoples-Jones.

The game was a little tense at that juncture when the pass play took place. Between the TD and the pose, it totally relaxed me. Someone should make a bobblehead doll just in time for next year.

Once he scored, the game was over and they all knew it. The defense wasn't going to let anything happen from there...

I love this blog

This one was posted in another thread, equally awesome.

The head tilt and hand positioning are on point. Love it
October 21st, 2018 at 8:25 PM ^
Missed it live, caught it on the first replay. But this side to side comparison is great. He nailed it, even the eyes.
October 21st, 2018 at 8:49 PM ^
I did not notice it live, I did realize it on a replay after the game. If I may provide DPJ some constructive criticism, his head tilt is way too far to the right. This still shot captures him with his head more upright, as it should be. He probably should have also grown a thick beard ahead of the game but that's okay.

Another quality tweet:
Shout-out to this lil guy for being the only living creature to make it into Michigan's endzone in the 4th quarter pic.twitter.com/2D65tEjeC5

Epic troll job without a doubt. I didnt get it live but the first replay I saw after the game I connected the dots.

Brandy had a great Sparty/squirrel troll too.
My GoogleTV feed went out just before the DPJ snatch and dash, so I turned to the WTKA internet feed to catch the rest of the game. At some point, Brandy pointed out the squirrel that dashed across the field,
"Had more yards on the ground than Sparty!"
Epic.

Contrast that to Blaha’s butthurt description at the end of the game, which ESPN used in their highlights.
October 21st, 2018 at 5:44 PM ^
So fun, though!
The game ends and his comment is (to my recollection): "Michigan celebrates like they won the Super Bowl. And they have gotten their third win in the last 11 years in the series." Hahahahaha.
October 21st, 2018 at 6:06 PM ^
Switches back and forth between the Sparty and Michigan radio feeds. My personal favorite is when Sparty fumbles the punt return. I don’t think it even hit the ground—Hewlett got it and then is surrounded by the entire Wolverines roster. “Blaha—the ball comes loose...I don’t know who has it...”
October 21st, 2018 at 6:46 PM ^
If we win twenty in a row, I hope that we celebrate each one just as much.

I thought you were about to post that 18 more times.

Why can no Spartan fan at least say 4th win in 12 years or now MSU is 8-4 the last 12 games.
It’s always 2nd win in ten years (Dantonio was 8-3) or Michigan is 2-8 or 3rd win in 11 years blah blah blah...
it is what it is, but 2007 happened and they seem to forget.
ITS 4 WINS THE LAST 12 GAMES.
October 21st, 2018 at 7:05 PM ^
Or, putting it another way:
Michigan has gotten their 42nd win over MSU in George's lifetime.
And if this were anything like the Super Bowl, George wouldn't be allowed anywhere near a microphone.
October 21st, 2018 at 7:27 PM ^
I forgot just how obnoxious Blaha comes across on the radio when talking about MSU. I remember listening to him during one of the John L. years and it was just a series of pearl clutching comments after any infraction was called against them.

Is there a link to this audio/

I didn’t embed but linked the highlights above.

I took a piss next to Blaha many years ago at the Palace. He was in the next urinal...and no I didn't peek over. True story.

I got it live and it was awesome. Makes me love that guy even more!
October 21st, 2018 at 4:01 PM ^
lol I was trying to figure out wtf he was doing. That’s awesome.
October 21st, 2018 at 4:01 PM ^
I noted this morning that it was great work by the Fox director to get the shot and great work by DPJ to nonchalantly pretend like he didn't know exactly where the cameraman was.
October 21st, 2018 at 4:05 PM ^
My initial reaction to his celebration was a sass filled “finally, I’ve been waiting for you to throw me a bomb all year” with hands on his hips and everything. All in good fun. But the trophy pose was a very good idea!
October 21st, 2018 at 4:11 PM ^
Huh, I could have swore the Spartans had him listed as injured too
October 21st, 2018 at 4:13 PM ^
I got it right away and had to try and explain it to my Buckeye fan son-in-law and my daughter. I thought it was epic.
October 21st, 2018 at 4:17 PM ^
Actually, the image of that trophy, being seared into my mind because I firmly believe it is an Ann Arbor resident and we have this team about an hour away that so rudely wishes to dispossess us of it (and sadly has quite a bit lately), is the first thing I saw when DPJ struck that pose.

I mean...it took me a second, but I knew it was the Bunyan pose before it went to commercial break....
October 21st, 2018 at 4:35 PM ^
I thought he was going for old school superman. I like this one better.
October 21st, 2018 at 4:39 PM ^
Loved the pose. But, the confidence is the thing I loved the most. Michigan seemed to hav e been lacking that elite mentality at times in the past. I take it as a very positive development.
October 21st, 2018 at 4:49 PM ^
Better coaching and better depth on offense.
This is about to become Stanford 2.0 that went to BCS Bowls 5/6 years.
October 21st, 2018 at 5:27 PM ^
I prefer to think of Stanford as the beta program to ours.
October 21st, 2018 at 4:42 PM ^
That's great!
Though I still think the trophy would be best if the loser was forced to display it.
October 21st, 2018 at 5:10 PM ^
October 21st, 2018 at 5:22 PM ^
Look up the history of the trophy. It's rather funny how little Michigan cared about it through the 50's.
October 21st, 2018 at 6:30 PM ^
There were years when Michigan won when they didn't even bother taking it home with them. MSU would paint the score and bring it to the game the following year. Bo was 17-4 against MSU and I've never seen a picture of him with it. The only thing Lloyd ever said about it was that it was the ugliest trophy in college football. It took a dickhead like Dantonio to really appreciate winning that thing.
It was a break from tradition to see the players parading it around the stadium yesterday. That is never done when Michigan wins. It's always presented in the lockeroom after the game.
October 21st, 2018 at 6:09 PM ^
It's a hideously ugly trophy.
What could be more satisfying than forcing your rival to display a symbol of their own ineptitude? It's the same reasoning as making a wager that the loser has to wear the winning team's jersey, sign their fight song, etc.
October 21st, 2018 at 6:44 PM ^
I'll tell ya something about the trophy, it looks a hell of a lot better with a Michigan helmet on it!
October 21st, 2018 at 6:19 PM ^
The loser should have to display Paul Bunyan's little brother.
October 21st, 2018 at 4:56 PM ^
I thought he was pondering: “I wonder if Lewerke will ever complete another pass”
October 21st, 2018 at 5:58 PM ^
Don't really understand what you mean by "troll." Great celebratory pose but not a troll any more than doing the Heisman pose is trolling.
October 21st, 2018 at 6:14 PM ^
Doing the Bunyan pose is trolling when you're doing it in a stadium filled with the only people on the planet who care about it.
It'd be like Woodson doing a Heisman pose in a game against Peyton Manning. Which would have been epic -- and trolling.
October 21st, 2018 at 7:22 PM ^
Yeah i guess that's true
October 21st, 2018 at 6:59 PM ^
Great pose, but the Howard Heisman pose will ALWAYS be THEE pose of all poses.
October 21st, 2018 at 7:20 PM ^
I missed it.... nice work DPJ
