Please someone embed, I'm kinda drunk, but Mr. Travis seems flabbergasted by what went down tonight

How dare Meyer say " I'm sorry that we're in this situation" as a response to a question of what he would like to say to Mrs Smith. What an ass! A women who has possibly been beat, choked and humiliated, has the audacity to paint himself along side her as a victim. You LIED and brought this on yourself! You could have avoided this whole situation had you been honest with yourself, your team and the media. You are a football coach, yes, but with that said, you are responsible for much more than a game. You help shape the lives of young men and are almost a father figure to many of them. Is this what's acceptable as a mentor? I really hope the parents of current and future recruits open their eyes to the real "Coach" they have running that team. The only character traits he's teaching as a "Coach", are not what I want demonstrated to my young men. Apparently, he's more than a football coach to the fan base and the faculty. He IS greater the the whole of that institution.

That was brilliant.
Fuck ohio state. What a farce of a university.
August 23rd, 2018 at 9:16 AM ^
Memory loss?? Leads to a great poster idea. I have parent brain so when I think of memory loss, I think of my kid watching "Finding Dory" like I watch parkinggod on youtube. Over and over and over. so yeah. My idea for a gameday poster Something with urban tied to Dory. . .
to your point. with this suspension and the reactions within ohio and around the country, this is exposing how ridiculous and maniacal the O$U fan base is to the rest of the nation.

"Just keep lying..."
August 23rd, 2018 at 3:54 AM ^
I look forward to the day when I can come here and not see a single “here’s what ___ thinks of the OSU verdict”. thread. It may be a year from now, but I look forward to that day.
August 23rd, 2018 at 3:56 AM ^
That’s like saying you long for the day OSU scandals end. Good luck w that.
August 23rd, 2018 at 7:13 AM ^
Or like saying you long for the day Michigan once again beats OSU.
August 23rd, 2018 at 7:27 AM ^
UM beat OSU in 2016. The homer officials just didn't like that outcome and decided otherwise.
August 23rd, 2018 at 7:35 AM ^
Pretty sure thats not how it works. Final score shows OSU won. I don't understand the part of our fan base who walk around saying Michigan won that game when they didn't.
August 23rd, 2018 at 7:46 AM ^
You're right... That's not how it works. But somehow it did. It's not supposed to be allowed to have three officials of The Game with life long fans of one of the teams playing, but somehow it was. Officials are supposed to call the game fair, but somehow they didn't. Easy to sit on that high horse of yours when all the calls went your way. Just like yesterday.
August 23rd, 2018 at 7:58 AM ^
We know we technically lost, but the bullshit trash talk from Buckeyes that asserts Michigan is somehow still very far behind them is what causes me to even bring that out. What else are we to respond with when they incessantly say we are afraid of them? Or that we just want Urban gone because we cannot beat him?
I wish we could play them twice a year—I’m pretty confident in what Harbaugh has built and is building towards. So my clap backs are exactly that—but only when some arrogant F__kNut suggests “our fear.”
Harbaugh will have The Team ready in the Columbus, and I’m looking forward to Michigan making themselves a National Championship contender this entire season.

Morally corrupt and intellectually bereft: Win, lose or draw, you still have to go back to Ohio.
August 27th, 2018 at 10:31 AM ^
I live in NYC, chief.
August 23rd, 2018 at 7:53 AM ^
Well, you are living proof that many OSU fans care more about winning than about domestic violence, telling the truth, being ethical and moral and overall, being a sound human being.
Thanks for sharing that with us!

Can the powers that be delete this f-ckeye troll 0-6-1-0?
August 27th, 2018 at 10:38 AM ^
Haha, you are a little cry baby and it delights me to no end. Only OSU's 7th straight win this November will make me more happier than your thin skin.
August 23rd, 2018 at 8:25 AM ^
0-6, sold your soul for some beads and whiskey. so empty, so bankrupt.
not sure if you can do the double digits, but since you like numbers, here are some more: 49-58-6
August 27th, 2018 at 10:36 AM ^
That's true UM leads all time. However, the last 20 years have never been more lopsided in the history of the Game. OSU's 16 wins over the last the 20 years is the most during any 20 year stretch. Even when UM throttled OSU during the early days of the rivalry, they only won 15 of the first 20 games. Like most of us here, I prefer to live in the recent past and present and it's never been better! Going for 7 straight wins this November 24th.
August 23rd, 2018 at 8:35 AM ^
Sorry, I have no clear memory of Ohio State beating Michigan recently. I deleted recent results.
August 23rd, 2018 at 9:53 AM ^
I too often forget things that I recently recalled vividly
August 23rd, 2018 at 9:59 AM ^
You must be on the same medication urban cited that gives him select memory recognition.
August 23rd, 2018 at 10:00 AM ^
*Without OSU cheating
August 23rd, 2018 at 12:09 PM ^
Ooooooooh, burn! Thanks for again showing that in the itty bitty Buckeye brain that NOTHING is more important than a team YOU WATCH winning a fucking game.
August 23rd, 2018 at 9:20 AM ^
I'm waiting for the counter to hit -9999999, so that I can be one to hit the magic -10 million number.
I think I'll get there sooner than your thread wish.
Don't forget to send us a postcard from Siberia ;o)
August 23rd, 2018 at 10:05 AM ^
With the new version I have no idea if that is meant for me or someone else. If it is, meh. If it isn’t, meh.
August 23rd, 2018 at 3:55 AM ^
Nice. I don’t see his articles often but when I do he typically nails it.
August 23rd, 2018 at 6:16 AM ^
I thought Clay Travis was a country singer or something like that. I'm still not sure who he is, but I am now a fan.
August 23rd, 2018 at 7:07 AM ^
He's a racist asshole, mostly.
August 23rd, 2018 at 7:12 AM ^
How so?
August 23rd, 2018 at 7:49 AM ^
He hates anyone from ohio
August 23rd, 2018 at 8:09 AM ^
Do you follow him or read his dribble? If you don’t then don’t start. He is a POS person and his opinion is worthless!
August 23rd, 2018 at 8:37 AM ^
There's plenty of information available regarding this. Just use google.
August 23rd, 2018 at 8:41 AM ^
It's 2018, calling someone a racist is the hip new way to dismiss someone we disagree with. Unless dude is an actual racist, in which case, fuck him.
August 23rd, 2018 at 8:44 AM ^
I don't think anyone disagrees with Clay Travis here, so it's obviously not about dismissing him. He's just a problematic asshole regarding a variety of issues.
August 23rd, 2018 at 9:33 AM ^
He once spent an entire show using the word niggardly in almost every sentence in order to laugh at people who thought he was being a racist. Niggardly means lazily, and has no connection to the racial slur. But he still used it in order to race bait, then feign intellectual superiority to anyone who called in about it.
The dude is straight trash, and has spent many a show running his cock sucking mouth about Harbaugh the last couple years. I applaud him for his take on Meyer, but he is straight trash.
August 23rd, 2018 at 9:42 AM ^
As far as the first part goes, it was trolling, but he has a point, people get WAY too reactionary about language and are often LEAPING to conclusions in order to establish some sort of weird superiority in their heads, calling it out isn't racism, not no matter how trollishly it's done.
August 23rd, 2018 at 10:04 AM ^
He's also said racist shit in the past so he's the last person that should try and pull a social exercise like that. He just did it to troll and so he could have some bullcrap ammo whenever someone called him racist in the future.
August 23rd, 2018 at 11:53 AM ^
Never said he wasn't an asshole. Just said he had a point.
The messenger =/= the message.
August 23rd, 2018 at 12:37 PM ^
No, but we shouldn't even heed his message because it's made in bad faith. Plenty of other people (you and I for example) can make the point. We should not give his ilk the time of day to discuss racism.
August 23rd, 2018 at 10:12 AM ^
Niggardly means stingy.
The rest of your post stands.
August 23rd, 2018 at 10:30 AM ^
You are correct. Been a while since i looked it up.
August 23rd, 2018 at 11:03 AM ^
Ok guys. I withdraw my new fandom of Clay Travis, but will agree that his take on Meyer as a complete douche is solid.
August 23rd, 2018 at 6:24 AM ^
Well done, Clay Travis.
August 23rd, 2018 at 6:38 AM ^
Eh, he’s not the guy that should be all that outspoken on this issue considering the book he wrote.
August 23rd, 2018 at 7:12 AM ^
Christine Brennan, Jay Bilas and Jake Tapper - three far more credible sources - slayed Urb.
August 23rd, 2018 at 8:50 AM ^
For Christine Brennan to not say something anti-Urban would have been a shock.
August 23rd, 2018 at 9:10 AM ^
There is a ton of people with well done takes on this and probably will be more to come in the near future. I don't need Clay Travis'.
