He obviously knows it's bad news for his friend that it's online. Just trying to keep a friend from getting in serious trouble

but I do think it's obstruction of justice. MGoLawyers? In any case, unlike Jayru's action, this is the kind of understandable poor judgment that kids can be expected to grow out of, so yeah, I'm not too worried. It's just a bad look.

That's really not obstruction of justice. I could explain why, but it isn't.
As for it being a "bad look," the kid is already under arrest and the evidence already exists. Sharing it across social media does nothing but bring additional ridicule, and nothing good can come from that.

A kid assaulted someone and may have thrown away a scholarship offer. Neither thing is something to celebrate no matter who he is committed to.

Not sure that the explaination was needed, but thanks for setting me straight. I already feel like a way better person. Yeah, me!

From what I can tell, this is a Cass Tech math teacher:
If that young man doesn't get expelled, I am going to be very upset.

@iTeach2Inspire uh oh what happen

The scuttlebutt on Twitter is that Jayru was arrested pretty quickly.

Police have Campbell in custody. It's not clear if he has been suspended or if Michigan State will be pulling his scholarship.

This young man needs some guidance to get his life straightened out before he ends up wasting all his talent and potential.

This Instagram video allegedly shows Michigan State recruit Jayru Campbell picking up and slamming a school security guard to the floor. Campbell (recruiting profile HERE) is a four-star 2015 QB out of Detroit’s Cass Technical High School, but reports are already circulating that MSU has pulled his scholarship as a result of the incident.

#2 whatever you posted was from that god awful chatsports that is banned from these parts

I'm just kind of wondering in what context this happened? It seems like the other guard was just standing around doing nothing? Is there something against the rules that would have prevented him from restraining Jayru/touching a student?

Just watched the youtube video. Good call by Hoke and crew to stay away from this kid. There is no way Michigan State honors his scholarship.
Mike Valenti @MikeValenti971 Let's settle this. What jayru did was a disgrace. If msu honors his offer I'd be stunned. Nothing to defend. He should be a spartan. Period
