Trey gonna Trey

You can go to Treys nba.com player page and view video of every single statistical play he has recorded this year.
http://stats.nba.com/playerGameLogs.html?PlayerID=203504&pageNo=1&rowsPerPage=25
So you can click on FGA, if you want to see all attempts from that game, or AST if you want to see all his assists from a particular game. pretty cool new feature the league implemented this year.

and yet Detroit drafted Caldwell-Pope because he's taller

there were more than a few Caldwell-Pope proponents here on draft day. We'll see how that plays out--I'll take Trey.

"Caldwell-Pope proponents?" I certainly wasn't one of them.

Still awesome.

So much for Trey being too short and too slow for the NBA

Damn!!!

We all knew Trey was the man for the Pistons. Now we are stuck with Brandon Jennings. A talented player with no leadership qualities at all. I watched the last couple Utah Jazz games and barring injury, Trey is going to wreck shop in the league for a long time. Caldwell-Pope will be trade bait in a year although for my sake, I hope I'm wrong...

The +19 with Burke on the floor is most impressive to me.

And mofo's act like they forgot about Trey.

Thanks for nothing, Dumars.

10 bucks says he looked all cool while doing it.

As stated on draft day, the Pistons have consistently refused to draft any Michigan player for decades - not just under Dumar's watch. It would seem that there is some sort of internal policy forbidding the drafting of Wolverines locally cause it would lead to horrible things like increased fan interest, strong community relations and an overall better win/loss record and those things need to avoided at all costs.

I can agree with that, and it's absolutely befuddling (is that a word?).

C'mon, KCP is averaging 7.4 point per game, all while shooting 35% from the floor and 27% from 3. He's also averaging almost a full assist a game.
Kid has STAR written all over him.
I would have thought after Darko that Dumars would have, you know, looked at KCP's college stats and realized that maybe this kid isn't that great of a shooter in game situations instead of being wowed by how great he shoots in workouts. I'm sure he's a fantastic HORSE player. Usually, if a guy is a "great shooter" he shoots better than 41% in college and he CERTAINLY shoots better than 33% from 3. (see Stauskas, Nik)

Trey comes to The Palace, and I've already got my tickets bought! Still can't believe Joe D passed him up...
December 3rd, 2013 at 11:35 AM ^
I blame Mateen Cleaves. His total washout of a career probably spooked Joe D (who drafted him back in 2000) into not wanting to draft another local product coming off a Final Four run. That is irrational logic, of course, but I bet it was in the back of his mind. I'm afraid the Pistons are probably going to regret this one for a long time.

falls in love with players who give him a good workout. Darko came in, hit a bunch of shots and BAM, he's the #2 pick. Looks like KCP pulled the same trick. Came in, hit a bunch of meaningless practice shots, and Joe D. falls in love. Who cares that his college stats say that he's mediocre?

Just to make all those moves to be the 7 seed (only thanks to the craptasitc Atlantic) and face the Heat. And lose the draft pick. Drafting Burke and sucking hard enough to be in the lottery in THIS draft wasn't a good idea, nooooooo......
