Could these be the jerseyz for The Game?
This was spotted in the Michigan lockerroom last season before the Outback Bowl. Many speculated that that would be the jersey. The Outback Bowl one wound up being somewhat similar.
Could this be the alternate jersey for this year since it is already made?

I hope not. That thing is hideous. I'm hoping for MAIZE jerseys with blue pants.
November 19th, 2013 at 8:46 AM ^
I'm glad you don't have the final say in the uniform then because maize jerseys would be the worst decision. This isn't West Virginia University.
November 19th, 2013 at 9:05 AM ^
You won't want to look back at the 1964 team then. I think they had maize jerseys.

I don't see any here.

Research fail.

Really? You're doubting the veracity of the Bentley Historical Library, otherwise known as the official archives of the University of Michigan? I mean....really? And you're getting snarky and sarcastic over that while making a false and totally un-sourced Internet claim?
-1 Stupid.

Isn't Jim Conley on record saying that the maize jerseys were only worn in practice?
November 19th, 2013 at 1:18 PM ^
i was talking about my research.......or lack thereof.

O I C. I apologize then. The 'netz don't always allow for the clearest interpretation of a post.

the under jersey stuff they'd wear

from Duck Dynasty going to fly into the stadium on a jet pack? That Dave Brandon is a MF genius....
November 19th, 2013 at 10:59 AM ^
They could come down the tunnel and zip around the field shooting blanks and then zip back up the tunnel. Wait, let's schedule Oregon for a home-and-home and do this. Come on DB, get on it, Jack!
Take that TBDBITL!

adidas makes seriously lame alternate unis. I really hope UM goes another direction when the contract expires. #UA

just make them look like a hockey jersey, and I'm good.

Leave Uni's alone.... But lets go with the Matte Blue helmets with "Chromaize" wings...
November 19th, 2013 at 8:12 AM ^
an all Maize Jersey and pants with Blue lettering, I think that would look so cool with our helmets, pretty badass. I don't like what's pictured what so ever.
November 19th, 2013 at 8:14 AM ^
Can't have maize when they are wearing white, light color on light color. It will end up being blue on blue.
November 19th, 2013 at 8:25 AM ^
Subtle change and maybe provides a slight advantage with matchups and having a harder time identifying who guys are quickly. We know we need all the help we can get. Also like Strick23's idea for the helmets.
November 19th, 2013 at 8:29 AM ^
I thought Brandon said no more Jerseyz during the regular season. The Seniors can decide on if the team wears alternates or not for Bowl game.

No, he said there were "no plans" at that time. It was pretty clear he was carefully leaving himself an out.
There was no way that Ohio State would pull out alternate uniforms for this one and Adidas and DB would let us sit it out. Gotta merchandise The Brand (x3).

November 19th, 2013 at 8:41 AM ^
Right, because Nike has never produced stupid looking alt-uniforms for, oh like say, OSU.

November 19th, 2013 at 8:39 AM ^
Oh come on, that's the one thing you took issue with? It's a fan concept. And a bad one at that.
November 19th, 2013 at 8:42 AM ^
"Rad," it's a "rad concept." I don't know how you can mix up your "r" and "b" keys, they aren't even next to one another.
November 19th, 2013 at 8:56 AM ^
But is it jerseyz bad, or Power Glove bad? Because I love the Power Glove. It's so bad.
November 19th, 2013 at 9:02 AM ^
If you combined the Power Glove with Zubaz pants, now we're talking.

November 19th, 2013 at 8:48 AM ^
Since it's simply a fan creation one could easily change the Nike logos and BOOM -- YO MAN CHECK OUT THEZE ADIDAZZ JERZEYZ.
Also I must be one of the few people who think they're hideous. Yuck.
November 19th, 2013 at 9:04 AM ^
November 19th, 2013 at 9:09 AM ^
Why? It doesn't matter how fugly and stupid an alternate uni design is, somebody will pipe up to say they like them and why don't all the old fart dinosaurs stop whining.
And like clockwork, that comment will soon be followed by the classic "They can wear pink tutus for all I care as long as they win" declaration.
November 19th, 2013 at 9:12 AM ^
You forgot, "The players like them" as if a player would ever stand up and go against Brandon by saying "god these things are stupid."
November 19th, 2013 at 9:33 AM ^
And "the players loved them" at Michigan State in 2011 when they had to spend the ten minutes in the locker room after pregame warmups helping their locker neighbors take off their shoulder pads and rip off their tape so they could wear the sainted bumblebee surprise uniforms. This got priority over going over their assignments with their position groups.
No one at Adidas, nor the Athletic Department, realized taking off and putting on an entire football uniform isn't something you can easily do at the drop of a hat. And the players resented it.

November 19th, 2013 at 10:05 AM ^
It was a mistake yeah, but it didn't really affect the team that much. We scored first, and it was 7-7 at Halftime.
The jersey switching had no outcome on the game
November 19th, 2013 at 10:08 AM ^
The point isn't whether or not it had an outcome on the game, but rather to underscore the completely clueless people who make these decisions. And we give them carte blanche because "the players like it." Even when they don't and/or don't have the power to say it's stupid.
