omg omg omg.
Remember to breathe, people.
So huge. Even if he doesn't end up picking Michigan. The exposure and family atomosphere is awesome. Nothing like hanging out at the Big House on a nice summer afternoon eating BBQ.
this is the football barbeque, not the physics barbeque
If I was 17 and invited to Michigan Stadium for BBQ I would consider it pretty awesome. I'm not sure about you.
I'm 39, and I would consider it pretty awesome to be invited to the Big House for the BBQ.
Yeah no shit. This guy gets it.
Physics:atomosphere::Football:atmosphere... I'm just guessing here.
I did consider whether he might be channeling Yogi Bear with "atomosphere", but couldn't figure out why or how that was relevant.
Never heard of an atomosphere. Should have gone with meteorology. Or jerk store.
That sounds a lot more like a club to me...
It's sort of social...demented and sad, but social. Right?
Academic clubs aren't the same as other kinds of clubs.
Just to keep people excited - Michigan has had zero consensus 5* football players sign their LOI since the Carr regime. (Green was a 4* to 247) We have a commitment from Peppers and strong interest from Hand, Fournette, and Campbell, as well as possible interest from Juju Smith. Puts things into perspective...
Campbell?
(Will?) ... was actually ranked 2nd in his class, behind Roh - another 4* in the 247 Composite.
i understand that. but you lumped him in with Hand and Fournette? I do not understand. Thanks for moderating my comment though.
I didn't moderate your comment. But I'm still confused as to what point you are trying to make.
getting Will and George Campbell confused in a post about George Campbell? Not to mention the post you were replying to had a list of current recruiting prospects along with Campbell's name.
What do those names have in common with George Campbell's name? Now think what those names have in common with Will Campbell's name. Not one of these things is doing its own thing. Not one of these things is on its own.
Bottles the mind.
but....
We have a commitment from Peppers and strong interest from Hand, Fournette, and Campbell, as well as possible interest from Juju Smith.
1 of those is a verbal and the other four are recruits. Just not seeing how that one gets confused with a former player.
"(William) Campbell(...)"
I thought he was saying will Campbell was a 5* as well, Bc, I actually thought he was a 5*.
Now I see what you're getting at. That one word "campbell?" reply. Your interpretation makes sense till you read the guy's next reply where he gets testy and asks why (Will) Campbell got lumped in with Hand and Fournette. That's where I'm coming from.
I was following on my phone so that probably helps add to the confusion... but as the poster below indicates, what does "Campbell" signify then?
I still have no idea what he did mean in referring to George Campbell.
Who, the fuck, is on first.
I don't know.
Is not a fuck.
What makes you like who?
I don't.
certainly is not on 1st base
Damn, too late. REDUNDANT on the George Will photo embed.
Three out of four rating services is a consensus.... 4 for 4 = unanimity.
As Casey Stengel used to say: "You could look it up!"
Just for perspective, there haven't been many consensus 5 stars to go around since the Carr era. Getting 4+ competing opinion sites to agree on something is pretty rare, lol. So yeah, Fournette and Campbell are good enough to do that then they're pretty special talents.
there seems to be a lot of confusion on this site as to what constitutes a consensus and what is unanimity. As a guy who has to sit on way too many committee's for work I can say there is a distinct difference between the two as you can reach a consensus without being unanimous.
Unanimous means everyone agree with whatever is on the table while consensus essentiqlly means that "that might not be my first choice, or even my second or third...but I can live with that since everyone else is in agreement."
Now it could be that the recruiting services have no real grasp of what consensus means so it has just spread to this site by people using the term the way the recruiting sites do, but unless these sites actually confer with one another and come to a consensus I think the term is being misused.
I think what they should do is simply use the term unanimous as it leaves far less room for confusion as to how these recruiting sites are coming to this consensus.
Hoke can't BBQ.
This meme is getting tired, it's solidly in the rearview mirror by now
Sounds like maybe I'm not missing much.
He came out of HS before those sites started publishing rankings to the public.
