Are Guardian Angels OT?
This is an update from an older ESPN story. I would advise against reading it if you are driving or operating dangerous machinery.
Thanks to B. Madej for catching this one.
How did I miss this story? Amazing, wonderful! RT @danajacobson: Beautiful, beautiful story. 'Carry On' Why I stayed http://t.co/2AtxQti8ww

that was wonderful. thank you for sharing that.
Fantastic story.
to imagine having that kind of an impact on the lives of any one person, let alone two... Great story.
Someone is definitely chopping onions in my house. I swear.
Pretty awesome what investing in someone's life can do. Those guys probably had almost no chance of going to college or being a freakin paralympian given the situation they were born into. Awesome story
in Lisa Fenn's closing:
I stayed because we only get one life, and we don't truly live it until we give it away.
I stayed because we can change the world only when we enter into another's world.
I was taken by how similar it was to the message delivered by Mike Barwis in his TEDx talk.
It's the people you impact along the way. It's what you give of yourself to somebody else to make them great that eventually is what makes you great.
That I read the second yellow box in my mind using Barwis' voice?
Gets me pumped every time.
inspiring, thanks for sharing.
who's cutting up the onions in here?
If that's off topic, I'd rather not be on topic.
What a story. I'm putting into my "faith in humanity" file. It's a few (dozen) orders of magnitude thinner than the "people really suck" file, but every little bit helps. This was awesome.
I was like, "Great story." And then I hit the part about the consent form and nearly lost it.
Thanks for sharing. A heart-warming story like this is certainly a welcome change from the cynicism of all the Urban Meyer / Aaron Hernandez news.
Thanks so much for sharing. I found myself close to tears if not already in tears... Such an inspirational story. The world needs more people like Lisa Fenn. Someday, I want to make that kind of difference.
Although it's nice these kids have perservered and have gotten some help, a journalist clearly crossed a line by forcing herself into a story and a corporation is now exploiting this for their own means.
Guardians angels? Really? The whole thing reeks of typical Disneyfied American corporate propoganda...beurk! The story might be dumb but it certainly isn't "off-topic" either.
Yeah, how dare she cross a line and make a positive differences in two young men's lives. Seriously why do some people always have to be cynics.
Usually hate ESPN but this was a great, moving story. Good job.
One more reason why I think this site is educational!
