Final Four Game 1 Open Thread
Michigan definitely has a much better offense than Wichita.
Wichita does not seem like they have a ball handler that can create.
I haven't seen much Louisville. Do they ever make a basket in their halfcourt set?
...watching all of the AD's and coaching staffs in the crowd doing absolutely nothing or showing no emotion.
So a pose a question...
Most annoying commercial of the NCAA Tournament?
Likely answer: ALL OF THEM.
...I don't understand why they can't get more money and switch these up like the Super Bowl.
What a monsterous dunk looking like GRIII.
UL wins, I get $130, they lose and I do not. Go Cardinals!
I don't need UL to win it all, just make the championship game to get 3rd. Not that that would change my decision, but it is nice nonethless. Go Blue!
They are treating Russ Smith like Zeller.
Just beat Syracuse but anyone else watching with glee now?
I really like Michigan's chances.
This is code for "sloppy"
"Not many baskets but entertaining" sounds like something parents tell themselves when they have to watch their kids play in high school
I'm going to set the alarm for 8:45pm and go take a nap. At 8:45 this game will probably be 39-38 with 5 minutes still left on the clock. Only walk-ons will be playing for both teams because everyone else will be fouled out.
Wow. This game is a snoozefest so far.
Also, been wanting to ask you what is going on with your channel? All the videos I loved to watch are gone.
Some company called ZFR has been blocking sports videos on YouTube, at least videos that are longer than several minutes. I don't have the heart to remove them. I just leave them up so the world knows what ZFR is doing.
He looks like he's going to fall asleep.
WARE WARE WARE WARE enough already
CBS could show his injury and then put the camera on him.
It's called ratings
what you meant lol
Wichita St up 1 at half. Should be a good second half
For the board's information, some of the halftime stats for this rather ugly (so far) game:
FG% | 3FG% | FT% | Eff. FG% | Off. Reb. % | |
WICHITA ST. | 32.14% | 30.00% | 83.33% | 37.50% | 36.84% |
LOUISVILLE | 40.00% | 30.77% | 55.56% | 50.00% | 28.57% |
Seven Louisville turnovers have definitely helped the Shockers some as well.
Clearly I don't know how to find old posts. I tried clicking on the page numbers at the bottom of the page and I tried clicking "next" and it doesn't bring up the next page of board topics. I wanted to post this in the thread about the Adidas shirts, but can't. Whoever was upset with Adidas making these got their wish, but the way it went down is completely asinine.
I had been in favor of the players lawsuit against the NCAA (O'banon) but not sure now, if they are going to pull crap like this through the lawsuit. The reasoning behind it is completely rediculous, since Adidas was going to donate any profits to the Louisville scholarship fund.
I wish they would stop playing up the whole "They're not intimidated" angle. This isn't the '80s or early '90s when top seeds were stocked with future NBA stars or college legends. This is the era when a team like George Mason, VCU, Butler, etc. does something every year. Anyone who is a 12 seed and above are relatively equal.
Unless you are MSU playing UNC or Duke.
Only 10? Mine has been in knots all week.
I'm terrified that the dome might be the best component of Cuse's defense... although we did very well in Texas so IDK....
I continue to believe Louisville would be a really good matchup for us.
I don't even care who is the better matchup. I think we can beat either of them, but I want the Ware story to die already.
Those are the two biggest stories of the final four. Ware, Ware, Ware and the Syracuse zone defense being the best in the history of basketball.
Huge surprise, Doug Gottlieb praising a Michigan opponent.
