This sounds fun - and thanks for posting it - but your list isn't realistic. Three Michigan games? Three Michigan State games? West Virginia, South Carolina, and MSU each in back-to-back weeks? Not happening.

Receptionist: "Hello, ESPN"
Caller: "This is Mike Slive, Commissioner of the SEC"
Receptionist: "How can we help you?"
Caller: "Do you have our six weeks of ESPN gameday set up for this year?"
Receptionist: "No problem Mr. Slive, how about we make it better for you and add the SEC Championship in Atlanta...the true national championship game, right?"
Caller: "That's what I like to hear". "Any chance we can renegotiate that television and media deal to equate our earnings more with the B1G?"
Receptionist: "No."

I totally agree. MSU, WVU, and S.Carolina will only have one (if lucky). We should get Ala and OSU. Can't see another one happening unless it is championship. (Also not sure how they will treat teams on suspension, so OSU may not be shown.)
My proposal for the following dates:
Saturday 09/29/12
Nebraska vs Wisconsin Badgers (HC) Lincoln, NE
Saturday10/13/12
Texas vs Oklahoma Sooners Dallas, TX
Saturday10/20/12
VaTech at Clemson Tigers Clemson, SC
Saturday10/27/12
UGa vs. Florida Gators Jacksonville, FL
ND at Oklahoma Sooners Norman, OK
Saturday 11/10/12
UGa at Auburn Tigers Auburn, AL
Alabama vs Texas A&M Aggies Tuscaloosa, AL
Saturday 11/17/12
Stanford at Oregon Ducks Eugene, OR
USC at UCLA Bruins Los Angeles, CA
Nov 3rd is tough call, also on Saturday 11/03/12
Alabama at LSU Tigers Baton Rouge, LA

Totally on board with wisconsin @ nebraska and notre dame @oklahoma. The irish last visited the sooners in 1966, so a good bet gameday will be in norman.
Red River Rivalry is tough to beat. You'd have to see a surprise national title contender to get gameday there. E.g., if SCar or Mizzou are somehow really good, their games against LSU and Bama (respectively) could make the cut. But probably not.
Not only that but its nebraska’s homecoming they will be unveiling new look uniforms and they are considered two big10 contenders. Also nd-okla is a lock in my opinion, also an acc game like va tech/Clemson, along with the great cocktail party if uga and/or florida is doing well.
I count four Michigan games.
August 5th, 2012 at 10:23 PM ^
They are not doing a Michigan game 3 times...as much as I would love to see that.
I have a hard time believing Michigan vs Ohio would make the cut since it would mean anything besides Urban vs Brady. I agree with the post above, Michigan State three times? Hell no. Probably MSU vs Wisconsin obviously, but thats it.
August 6th, 2012 at 10:40 AM ^
Oregon has been involved in 11 games featuring the gameday crew.
3 times in 2009 (vs #5 USC, @ #11 Arizona, Rose Bowl)
4 times in 2010 (vs #9 Stanford, @ unranked USC, @ unranked OR St, MNC game)
4 times in 2011 (@ #4 LSU, vs #18 ASU, @ #4 Stanford, Rose Bowl)
By comparison, LSU has made 7 appearances on Gameday, although 5 (!) were in 2011.
Alabama has been involved in a Gameday featured game 8 times since 2009.
Wisconsin and osu have ruled the roost in the Big Ten with 5 appearances each, although none for the buckeyes last season.
Michigan has featured just twice - the UTL game vs. notre dame and the Sugar Bowl.

There are too many of them in IMO! I wish it were the case but only the homers here want to see the Maize and Blue on Gameday that much.
August 5th, 2012 at 10:54 PM ^
Okay, here are my predictions:
Week 1 - Michigan vs. Alabama
Week 2 - Florida @ Texas A&M
Week 3 - USC @ Stanford
Week 4 - LSU @ Auburn
Week 5 - Ohio State @ Michigan State
Week 6 - Miami (FL) @ Notre Dame
Week 7 - Texas vs. Oklahoma
Week 8 - Virginia Tech @ Clemson
Week 9 - MSU @ Wisconsin
Week 10 - Alabama @ LSU
Week 11 - Arkansas @ South Carolina
Week 12 - Oklahoma @ West Virginia
Week 13 - Michigan @ OSU
I'd like to get Oregon on there, but their schedule sucks except for a game at USC, which is, annoyingly, the same week as Alabama-LSU.
Doesn't NBC have all rights to ND at home, so I doubt ESPN/ABC would have Gameday at a location where they can't even show the game.
August 5th, 2012 at 10:47 PM ^
Replace MSU-OSU with Wisconsin-Nebraska, already set as the 8 PM game on ABC.
Replace South Carolina-LSU with the Red River Rivalry, they always go there.
Replace Wisconsin-MSU with ? MSU-Wisconsin is set as a 3:30 game, unless the game is going to be on CBS they almost never do College Gameday for a 3:30 game like that. My guess is Flordia-Georgia in Jacksonville.
Replace Oklahoma-WVU with Stanford-Oregon.
And most likely MSU-Michigan will be replaced, but I'm holding out hope it stays.

I wonder if they'll come here for the Illinois game to cover our 900th win assuming we lose to Bama. Hopefully win #900 comes at Purdue.
I think Sep29 will be Wisc @ Neb, but Tex-OkSt is a good one also.

August 5th, 2012 at 11:07 PM ^
Could the fact that the timing for the MSU game has not been announced mean that it might be a night game? If it is, that could get Gameday here.
But then again, I'm not sure they would want to wait so long to announce something like that. It seems sort of unlikely.
Still, I'm hoping. I really want to have Gameday back on campus this season-the fact that they're covering the Cowboy Classic is no consolation.
August 5th, 2012 at 11:14 PM ^
No, considering DB specifically stated that he won't allow it to happen. There will be no home night games this year.
August 5th, 2012 at 11:17 PM ^
Oh well.
I'd be really happy if it was at noon. I don't know if I can handle no 12:00 starts through week 8.
Honestly I would rather have no noon starts, except one game a year. Thats just torture when you live on North Campus
Noon starts are my favorite. Living out west means kickoff at 9 and the entire day to enjoy the Michigan victory.

Week 1 - Michigan v Alabama
2 - Georgia @ Missouri (can't get much better this week + new SEC member factors in)
3 - Notre Dame @ Michigan State (Bama v Arkansas is a poss, but I can't see them with Bama twice this early)
4 - Clemson @ Florida State (unless Clemson loses wk 1 to Auburn)
5 - Wisconsin @ Nebraska or Texas @ Oklahoma State
6 - Georgia @ South Carolina or LSU @ Florida
7 - Texas v Oklahoma (^either game makes it hard to go to So Carolina @ LSU, plus they'll need to give some Big 12 love)
8 - Michigan State @ Michigan
9 - Notre Dame @ Oklahoma or TCU @ Oklahoma State
10 - USC @ Oregon or Alabama @ LSU (depending on who has tripped up thus far, but prolly USC/Oregon b/c need PAC 12 love)
11 - Arkansas @ South Carolina
12 - Oklahoma @ West Virginia
13 - Lots: Michigan @ Ohio, Auburn @ Alabama, ND @ USC, LSU @ Arkansas (Friday game)... the choice out of these games has a lot of bearing on how many times they've visited any of these teams so far this year)
14 - SEC Championship
August 6th, 2012 at 12:06 AM ^
September 8 is a bad week of football outside of Michigan vs. AFA.
I think UCLA/Nebraska might get a look.
I can't see Missouri (which will get crushed by the ESS EEE CEE and be a punching bag for years holding much audience).
they will probably show one tamu, mizzou, and/or uwv to show how the fans react to joining new conferences. probably a home game.
August 6th, 2012 at 12:13 AM ^
They're not going to Baton Rouge twice, b/c they don't go to the same place more than once in a season. That's already been established.
They're not doing 3 M games this year. Same with 3 MSU games too.
Lots of teams have gotten multiple home games in a season. Check it out. By my rough count, it's happened 13 times in 17 years (including 3 times by Florida in 1999). However, it doesn't look like it's happened in the last three seasons--but that will last until there's a really good late season game against a group of so-so competitors.
August 6th, 2012 at 10:26 AM ^
Maybe it hasn't always been the rule, but Chris Fowler said it last year (or the year before) that that's the rule. Sounds like what they're doing going forward.
msu won't get 3 games. make book on it.
August 6th, 2012 at 12:55 AM ^
Sounds like a fun exercise.
Sep 1: Alabama - Michigan (Dallas)
Sep 8: Florida at Texas A&M (I think this is a foregone conclusion. It's the biggest actual football story of the season).
Sep 15: Alabama at Arkansas
Sep 22: LSU at Auburn
Sep 29: Oregon at Washington St (The schedule sucks that week and Mike Leach is interesting)
Oct 6: West Virginia at Texas
Oct 13: South Carolina at LSU
Oct 20: Michigan State at Michigan (The schedule is terrible that week)
Oct 27: Notre Dame at Oklahoma
Nov 3: Alabama at LSU
Nov 10: Oregon at USC
Nov 17: Random lower division game / in studio
Nov 24: Michigan at OSU
Wow, there's not many compelling matchups week-to-week. Michigan has a legit shot at four games this year. The Alabama game is clearly the biggest game of the year, Notre Dame will happen if both teams are unbeaten (please), the national schedule is terrible for Michigan State week, and the OSU game will be really compelling--especially if OSU adjusts to Meyer's coaching quickly.
Hopefully, Gameday will be watchable this year. It's gone from a straight football show to two hours of human interest stories and other assorted crap. I stopped watching regularly a couple years ago.
For those interested in considering past appearances of the College Football GameDay crew as a guide to predicting future appearances, here's a link to a list of those past appearances: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Locations_of_College_GameDay_(football)
Following Erin Andrews' departure for FOX and Michelle Beadle's departure for NBC Universal, I'll be interested in seeing how well Samantha Steele will do in taking over the hosting job for the 9:00 to 10:00 portion of the GameDay show on ESPNU.
